  1. You are all missing the worst part of the whole situation. The officer had to chase then wrestle with the naked guy ! I hate it when that happens!!!
  2. I'm pretty sure that we are in the process of rewriting the history books regarding WWII as we speak. I think that I read somewhere that everything bad that has happened in U.S. history was the fault of the Bush Administration!
  3. That's good to know. I don't recall him signing with anyone. I remember him giving up his NCAA eligibility, but didn't recall him actually signing. However, I don't follow many sports either, and I certainly don't watch the draft.
  4. You do know that is why he is back at OSU don't you? He is technically still a freshman and is hoping for a walk on. He is taking summer classes after all. He has been out of prison for several months now.
  5. What the hell, I'll chime in also. My first bike was an '81 Honda CB900 Custom. After that I had an '84 Yamaha IT200, and finally my '94 FZR600. However, I started riding 5hp Briggs and Stratton mini bikes at age 5 (in '77) at the grand parent's house.
  6. This chase would have ended earlier if they had only spiked the horse!
  7. But...a Honda Civic IS a car. An F-150 however, is a TRUCK.
  8. A warrant on complaint is still a warrant. I can sign a complaint (warrant), have it time stamped, and someone on the other side of the city can execute (serve) that warrant 1 second later without a judge signing it. Yes, it will eventually be signed but it is still a warrant the second that the clerk of courts office time stamps it. As far as going back law school, never been there, and have absolutely no desire to. Fonzie, I hope that your family is OK. And like I said in my previous post FUCK HIM! I hope that the prosecutor has a pair and breaks it off after they shove it in.
  9. I don't mean to sound like a dick when I say fuck him (especially if it is a friend of yours). However, I had a very good friend who was killed on duty in Riverside California when his motorcycle was struck by an "impaired" driver. The knuckle head turned left in front of my friend with a pickup pulling a trailer. Shannon's motorcycle got wedged between the truck and trailer and he was launched 50 yards. Felony drunk driving really pisses me off.
  10. Officers file warrants all of the time. Any time officers file charges in the absence of the "suspect" it is filed as a warrant for the arrest of the person. It is very common in the cases of Domestic Violence. When the offender is not at scene and there is probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed, a warrant can be filed. As a matter of fact, I filed a warrant for this exact thing on a juvenile last week. He conveyed marijuana into the Juvenile Detention Facility. Even though possession of marijuana is a minor misdemeanor in the state of Ohio, it becomes a felony when conveyed into a detention facility.
  11. A warrant for Conveyance is a warrant that has been filed after a person has been processed at the county jail. The person that was arrested had a weapon or dope on his person when he was booked at the county jail (conveyed it into the jail). It is a warrant because it is filed by the arresting officer without he arrestee being present (because he is in jail). You said he was arrested for OVI High Test (above 1.7) and felony hit skip. I say FUCK HIM!! The felony hit skip only comes from causing "serious physical harm" to another person then leaving the scene of the accident. Meaning that he caused injuries so severe that there is a potential for permanent disfigurement or death.
  12. I always go to A Aarow Radiator in Hilliard 614-876-6146
  13. I won't answer officially, but this sounds like a plan.
  14. I've worked down there for the last 5 years...if you are going down I have found that the fewest problems have been at Vets Memorial and North Bank Park. Matt
  15. Sorry that it has taken me so long to respond, I am on vacation. The physical description gives gender, height, weight, eye and hair color, and age. Between those, and the knowledge that most people riding a bike tend to ride their own, you can make a case for an investigatory stop. Have you ever had an officer pull along side of you, look at you, and then either drive on or pull in behind you and conduct a traffic stop? If you have, then you have experienced first hand them checking your physical description. I would guess that 95% of the time the officer is correct in making the stop. If they are incorrect, then the traffic stop should end immediately. However, most riders/drivers usually commit some other infraction which also gives them P.C. for a stop. I hope this is helpful.
  16. Actually, the plate gives us vehicle information, owner information (including physical description), license status...etc...If the information comes up and doesn't say "motorcycle endorsement", and the rider matches the general physical description, that is P.C. for an investigatory stop. He asked the rider's name because he wanted to verify that he was indeed the owner. However, it should not be no-ops as someone else stated (unless you don't have a license for a car), it should instead be a ticket for riding outside of permit restrictions. Huge difference! FYI, it's 100 Ft, not 500 Ft
  17. I would be careful going to the BMV and getting your license. I am from your area, but live in the Columbus area now, and I can tell you that the court system up north is COMPLETELY different up there than it is down here. When you go to the BMV to get your license, they ask if you have any pending tickets or suspensions. If you answer yes, you are not going to get your license until you go to court. If you answer no, you will get your license, but you run the risk of having it taken by the judge for lying. Your court date is less than a week away. I would keep the original paperwork which has the date that you passed the test, go to court, and beg for forgiveness (not literally). Just out of curiosity, what did he say that he pulled you over for? Did he cite you for anything else?
  18. You want to find a 2 stage compressor. But more importantly, you want one that delivers at least 14 cfm, especially if you are going to run any grinders or paint equipment.
  19. Unless you live in Texas, you never have the right to protect property with deadly force.
  20. I didn't say that I make or even agree with the policy. Hell, it's not even my job to enforce it. I was just relaying the information.
  21. You are correct, it is her word against his and as a criminal matter, and probably nothing will happen. However, she is also correct about the student code of conduct. Having previously worked the OSU/CPD joint patrol for a couple of years, I know that the university takes this type of offense seriously. Even if no criminal charges are filed, the university can take any type of action that it sees fit. It could range anywhere from a "stern" letter from the university to expulsion. One thing that most students don't understand is that even if they are not "on campus", they are still required to live by the code of conduct (which they all were given a hard copy of at their Freshman orientation) if they are a current student . The other thing that students don't understand is that if they are expelled from a state school, they can not attend ANY state funded school for 3 years. If you are an enrolled student, OSU's code of conduct applies any day, any time, and anywhere in the world. I say report it and follow through. If you want some contact information for the Student Judicial Review Board, PM me and I will give it to you.
