  1. I thought my wife bought it from Iron Pony, but she picked it up at Revzilla.com also. I looked up the pictures this morning (no tag inside) and it looks like it is a ZAN and was $12. I was looking for one with the smallest seam across the top of my head.
  2. I got a balaclava last year n it will keep you riding well into the cold weather. It keeps me toasty on the mornings there is frost on my bike when I leave work.
  3. The items that impact my riding the most are tank/saddle bags, Scala rider, and rain gear. None of which are uncommon but each has allowed me to avoid driving my truck or car anywhere this summerthat didn't involve delivering my kids someplace.
  4. I have never used that one. I have the G4 Scala Rider (which I only use for phone calls and music) and it is awesome. I picked it up as a single unit for $175 from revzilla.com. I believe their 2 helmet unit is $275 or $300. I have never heard the other end of a phone conversation, but my wife says it sounds great and is easy to understand. Also, it was a breeze to install.
  5. I'm on an FZR forum also, and there are a lot of people that race the 400 on there.
  6. I believe that what you are reading are all of the different ways to be guilty of a straight OVI. It specifies .08-.17%. Once you hit .171% you are guilty of "High Test" OVI. It is a separate charge. It increases your penalties and fines, as well as your steps up to mandatory minimum jail time. All of the crap about the blood serum and that type of stuff, I don't get because I am not a doctor and those tests are administered by a hospital. When the lab reports come back, the court enhances your charges.
  7. You could be legally impaired if you blow a .07% BAC does not take into account illegal drugs in your system. It is very common for someone to drink some alcohol while taking drugs. However, if the officer is paying attention to the HGN, he will know to ask you to submit to a urine or blood test instead of blood. They eyes give you away every time!
  8. PBT (portable breath test or road side breath test) are not admissible in court, but they do add to the probable cause for the arrest.
  9. Unfortunately, she does have guys pump her gas in Jersey. It is illegal for you to pump your own gas in Jersey. Quote from gas attendant to my wife: "yous can't pump your gas in Joisey, we pumps yous gas in Joisey!"
  10. We have Sterling Protective Services and they are great. They are reasonable and their service has been top notch!
  11. I didn't need to see the other guy, I saw all of the blood and other body parts left behind after the crime scene was opened back up. It wasn't pretty!
  12. Per witnesses, the sportbike was racing a Harley in the parking lot. The Harley rider apparently saw the pond at the last minute and lay his bike down sending it into the pond. They said the sportbike never hit the brakes and shot straight into the pond smashing his unprotected head on the rocks. Witnesses said he was going about 100 mph when he left the asphalt.
  13. AAA requires a current registration and plate on the vehicle to tow it. If not, they won't touch it.
  14. You're only welcome to stay if you are able to do 1.85$ on 270 then stand on the pegs with your legs gripping the tank and flap your arms like some kind of injured chicken!
  15. I'm missing your point. Just because it was written by someone with socialist views doesn't make it socialist. I don't think there is a person who would disagree with his desire to "champion (stand up for) the rights of the working class people". My comment about "my socialist state" was meant to be a joke. "My socialist state" exists within this democratic nation, as it should. Any parent who has a democracy in their home is doing it wrong (in my opinion). Your children should not have a say in the rules of your home. As a parent, your job is to guide them toward adulthood via the rules that you have put in place.
  16. How are the DP clutch parts? Mine is starting to slip and I have seen that brand several times lately.
  17. Record all serial numbers, model numbers, and descriptions of electronics and valuables. Take photos of all property and keep everything together in a safe place.
  18. Ghetto, no. Hillbilly, absolutely! Still a good idea though.
  19. I was riding to work on Wednesday of this week. I was wearing my duty pants, boots, jacket, gloves, helmet and riding the FZR with full bags. I came across a rider my age (39) or a little older riding the opposite direction on a metric cruiser. He was wearing sunglasses, T-shirt (one of the really cool ones with the sleeves cut off and seam split almost all the way down the side), shorts, and fruit flops. I waved. He looked at me and shook his head. I don't know if the issue was that I was riding a sport bike or that I was wearing my gear in the heat, but it made me want to flip around and go knock him off of his bike. However, I realized that if I did, I would be late for work, and that natural selection would eventually catch up with him anyway!
