  1. Yeah, they point that out on the box and in the instructions. I ain't got one 'uh them fancy batteries. Mine are lead 'n acid, the way it SHOULD be. Back when I was a kid, we didn't have no fancy batteries.
  2. Tons in Miamisburg last night. Not much help to someone in Parma, I know...
  3. I threw a Scrabble set into the air, and thats what landed on the floor. Weird.
  4. Could be true. Specs say that it puts out 13.2 v. My voltmeter thingie read 13.9v. on both units. I'm not an engineer, but that seems adequate to topcharge then maintain a 12v battery. Maybe too much?? Dunno.
  5. Awesome. Nice air off of a 3-inch curb. Ecoboost....hmmm Maybe Ford will make him an AWD F-150.
  6. Their version of a BT. Picked up a couple last night, after my real BT Jr. died suddenly. Good reviews. Reviews and instructions say to not leave this connected to the battery but unplugged from the wall (it will kill the battery). Easy enough. http://tinyurl.com/3bqm7l3
  7. Awesome. Thanks all. I was JUST at Glen-Milford.
  8. Either a couple of 25-26' solid rods about 3/8" to 1/2" or four at 12-13' each. This is for a deck project. Googled, but need a supplier at least somewhat local (Cinti or central Ohio) due to the length and shipping issues. Anyone? Thx
  9. Welcome. Where does your screenname come from (i.e. why did you use/ choose it)? Jeff
  10. Drags. Its your bike, do what YOU want. Thats what its all about.
  11. Read the review on the new Tuono yesterday in the new SportRider. Cathcart said "I honestly think its the best all-round sportbike that I've ever riddern". Thats an amazing statement coming from someone with his experience. GLWS. Wish I were in the market....
  12. That is probably him. It was a white GSXR that I saw. Is he one of the instructors at the KTM- MidOhio track days?
  13. About 7 pm on Fri 08/12/11. NE side, between Loveland/ IH and Montgomery Rd. I was in a cage, rider went past. Just wondered if he was one of "ours". Also wondered if he was one of the coaches/ staff members from Mid Oh KTM days. Just wondering. No, not calling anyone out. Jef
  14. My stomach hurts after I eat Arby's. Not sure why, as I'm generally not sensitive. And the food they really give you never looks anything like the photos.
  15. Hmmmm, their site "store locator" shows one north of town, up where McDonalds is at Harry Sauner and 62. Actually, across the street from McD's. I didn't remember seeing one there, but figured I could've easily missed it. May be where the Burger King is now (I think). http://raxroastbeef.com/locations/ohio/ Thanks. Saved me a trip.
  16. Seems like it deserves its own thread. Thinking about riding to Hillsboro for dinner... http://raxroastbeef.com/coupons/pdfs/weekly_specials.pdf
  17. Sorry, but where did this come from? I looked back through the thread and didn't see anything.
  18. Years ago I was near UD on my GSXR. Dude in a truck behind me was closer than I liked, so I stomped the rear brake very briefly to make the back tire screech. It did, and he almost hit me. Then he followed me, so I turned into a parking lot, thinking we'd work it out. He wasn't interested. He was a biiig mofo (height and build) and came flying out of his truck before I could put the kickstand down and get off of the bike. One shove, and me and the bike were on the ground. It could've been verrrry ugly, but that action and a few words from him were enough for him. Thank goodness. Moral of the story: Let it go. Its not worth the beating, the trouble, or jail time.
  19. In Japan, before you buy a car you have to prove that you have somewhere to park it (no, the front yard doesn't count, because there aren't any). I would support a law that says that before you have a kid (whether its the first or the fifth one. Doesn't matter) you have to prove that you can support it. And yeah, I agree with the IQ thing, especially when mom and/ or dad is on the public teet. Especially. Oh, and don't get me started on drug testing for welfare recipients. I'm just a prick that way. And another thing...
  20. Okay, you guys are always touting "hookers and blow", but then get upset when some stupid mom starts the cycle early. These cocaine kids are tomorrows hookers. Make up your minds.
  21. If buying one off of CL, and its one of those mower rehab guys, he'll probably take yours in as a partial trade.
  22. Charlie letting those straps dangle instead of connecting them is akin to riding on the street with your helmet strapped under the passenger seat.
  23. Highway is safer to some extent, IMHO. Unless you get the cagers coming across the median at you from the opposite direction. Couple of years ago I was on I75 NB near Middletown/ Franklin, in my car, early in the afternoon. Far left lane, windows down, summertime. Heard a horrible, familiar sound of a bike sliding on pavement just behind and to the right of me. A rider in the middle lane had been rear-ended by a Civic. Civic driver kept going. He was using the right side break-down lane, etc. I tried to catch him or at least keep him in sight, but wasn't going to risk myself or another driver. Not sure what ever happened to either of them. I can't imagine being that rider. Nobody expects that (or at least I don't...). Bottom line: theres always a risk, but we all know that. Personally, I only use the highway when necessary. I don't like any straight roads, no matter where they are. Yawn.
