  1. My wife won't use hotel room coffee makers since we found out that stewardesses often use them to "wash" their hose/ stockings. And other stuff.
  2. Hey wait, weren't you trying to sell yours a few weeks ago?? Someone buy this one so I can stop looking on here to see if its sold.
  3. They regulate everything else about them.
  4. Doesn't really matter, does it? 300hp will rip it regardless of how much it weighs. Does OUR government regulate max hp on motorcycles? I thought there was a gentlemans agreement between (at least) the Japanese factories to limit top speed (300km/h??), but never heard of a hp limit.
  5. S&W Extreme Ops Urban Camo karambit. I'm afraid I'm gonna castrate myself. But love the knife.
  6. I don't get it... How did who know what? Is Scala from England or Germany, something like that?
  7. So it looks like you got the "financial strain" thing worked out... Nice bike. Have fun.
  8. And here come the beer snobs. My wife gave me Beer of the Month for a gift. IPA's taste like fermented horse urine. And thats only if you can get past the smell. I like mild, very cold beer that doesn't burn my nose. If that makes me "less sophisticated", then so be it. I don't pretend to be sophisticated in any other part of my life, and I'm too old to drink crap beer just because it will raise my standing as a "beer connoisseur". I don't care. I like what I like. I like Yeungling, whether its a "forbidden fruit" that I can only get a few times a year or not. My liver and kidneys are just gonna have to adjust.
  9. There was a case back in the 80s or 90s where the feds used Onstar to bust a bunch of the Mob folks. This just strengthens my resolve to not buy another GM. Or at least a new one. My beloved Avalanche will need to be replaced someday.
  10. Had to run north up I75 this morning, from south of Dayton to north of it, and saw a few Yeungling billboards along the way. Local quick stop (Settlers Walk) has a sign in the window stating that we'll get it 10/31/11. The Bud distributor was there while I was, so I asked him if they would be the ones distributing it, which he confirmed. He says theres a lot of excitement around it. I think I'll have a welcoming party at my house. What day of the week is that????
  11. Welcome. I'm just south of you in Ridgeville/ Lebanon/ Springboro.
  12. >>lol these "family values" people just need to keep saying crazy stuff so they can pretend they are relevant in any way, shape or form.<< Like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
  13. If the guys at Jiffy Lube didn't tick you off, you might actually come back, then they'd have to do some work, instead of stand out by the curb holding a "$10 off" sign all day. They get paid the same either way. Edit: Sorry, thought this was a car oil change.
  14. Thanks all. I looked at all of the suggestions. None were bad. I had been eyeballing the Joe Rocket Hammerhead, and it still seems to fit my needs, so ordered one. Thanks again.
  15. Would like one for the SV6. I don't need anything large. If I need to carry a gallon of milk, I'll take a backpack (or come home with a nice, new blue cruiser...). Just need something to carry mail, stuff from errands, etc. Don't really want a micro. Was looking at the Cortech Tribag, but I think thats overkill for my needs. Need to carry stuff thats too large for my jacket pockets, but too small for a slingpack/ backpack. Also, should I be wary of magnet systems, as far as phone/ mp3 player, flashdrives, or any other reason?? Thx Jeff
  16. LOL. Yeah, I was gonna say "just spray some Axe on it". Thats what my college roommate used to do instead of showering.
  17. Do some research on this. We've been shopping for hottubs, and the electricians around here want $500 to run the electrical. You'll probably need that 50 amp, but may need a 60 with that size of tub. May need to ground the pad. Enjoy it. We still haven't bitten the bullet. I'm afraid that I'll shell out a few grand, then will only use it for a couple of months.
  18. Refurbs are just as good. Been checked twice.... Never had a problem with any refurb stuff that I've bought. Never.
  19. Saw that YL is to hit NE OH and CMH in October, and we won't get it in the "south" until November. Someone please post when they find it in CMH. Thx J
  20. I got distracted by Denise Milani cooking chicken salad (or something. I forget...).
  21. Free money. Depending on how much you're paying, could be several hundred dollars each month. Roll that in to the higher payment, along with the lower APR, and pay it off sooner and cheaper. Then reward yourself with a new bike. Rule of thumb for refinancing is if you can recoup your closing costs in 2.5 years or less then its acceptable. And depending on your current loan, it may not cost all that much (i.e. the streamline mentioned early-on in this thread).
  22. Not true, unless you are doing an ARM, and at these rates, why would anyone risk that? Most lenders/ brokers do sell the paper. Your rate follows you, regardless. The buyer is buying your terms. FHA rates (which may be an option for lesser credit folks) were down to 3.85 on 30 yr fixed as of Tues. Great time to refi, incredible time to buy, especially if you are higher up in the food chain. Incredible deals on higher end homes.
  23. This poor dude is getting doubly humiliated...
  24. Bought something electronic a few years ago on ebay. Seller had great feedback, and had been selling a lot of electronics. Or so it seemed. He scammed a ton of us at once with Buy It Now items. He didn't accept Paypal, and had to send money order to an address near Dallas. Yeah yeah yeah, I shoulda known. Stick with Paypal. FWIW, I hate ebay as a company. I wish they had some credible competition.
