Holy cow. My 07 Camry is $2k-$3k more (depending on "excellent" vs "good" condition) than I paid for it 8 months ago. And thats WITH the 20k miles I've put on it taken into consideration. How do I get my house to appreciate like that? Or at all, for that matter.

Friend and I were riding a couple of weeks ago. Stopped at a Mickey D's for a break. On the way in, a 16 yr old girl sitting out front smoking told him that his bike was nice and his helmet was "pretty". Crushed him. "A helmet isn't supposed to be pretty". Sitting down inside, he started going over reasons that he needed a new helmet ("this ones pretty old", kinda worn out, etc). Forwarded the Comp A email to him that day, for the "employee pricing Arai sale".

I'm 250 on a good day, and the bike is fine, but that may be due to the ZX10 rear shock (direct, quick swap. No mods needed) and the beefier GSXR front end. Never rode the SV with the stock suspension. Got it home, started taking it apart. Go check out SV Rider if you think an SV might fit you. Shameless plug: Vote for me. I want to mount some speakers in the ceiling above the bed. The TV is on the far wall. Looking for a passive (or automatic) little amplifier that would go inline between the tv and ceiling speakers, to power the speaker. Nothing major. I don't want something that I have to turn off and on, though. Is there such a thing? Wiring will be run through the attic.

I second Ms. Holly. I LOVE my SV. Picked it up cheap, personalized it just the way I want it, and also have about $2500 into it. Handles great, sounds great, and is comfortable. I like the second gen (2003+) better than the first gens. No complaints at all. None. I've had a lot of bikes pass through my hands, and this is by far one of my favorites. You missed a lot of good times. That whole line about young and stupid vs. old and wise is true, but I had some great (but stupid) times on a sportbike in my 20's. My wife laughs now when I see kids doing the same things I did, and am shaking my head or grumbling about it.

Early '90s Honda sportbike, cast wheels. Probably similar to a CBR of that vintage. Got the wheels blasted and powdercoated. Hoped that the bearings wouldn't be ruined, but they are. Is there a home-brew way of pressing them out? Theres a sleeve between the left and right bearings. TIA Jeff
