  1. Is it true that even though Obama said that absolutely, positively nobody making under $150k, then $200k, and finally $250k (as his campaigning rolled along) would pay any more taxes than they were at that time, but that taxes have already been raised? I don't get a salary/ standard paycheck, so don't have anything solid to compare to (other than my quarterly taxes), but have heard that peoples checks are smaller than they were when he got elected. New/ larger/ additional payroll taxes of some sort.
  2. Cheech, Where have you visited, what did you see that is better than America, what kept you from moving there, and why are you still living here?
  3. Looking to buy/ rent/ borrow a trailer to haul two sportbikes. Larger three-rail or something like a 5x8 utility/ landscape trailer. Thanks Jeff
  4. We probably all know a person like "the track guy" who thinks they are "kind of a big deal". Awesome video.
  5. Don't own one, but man she is hottttttt. Talking about Nip/Tuck, right????
  6. Little different scenario, but a few years ago, my parents bought an Infiniti J30. USA owners manual dictated 92-93 octane ("premium fuel"). The Canadian owners manual for the exact same car stated that 87 or higher was to be used. Asumedly, computers would control the knocking/ pinging, as most cars do now. Bikes aren't as computerized, of course. Even after I pointed it out, dad would never put less than 92 in that car.
  7. I still see high octane (91/ 92/ 93) at most stations. I would guess that it may not be the freshest, due to minimal use. Only a few smaller mom and pop shops (i.e. Marathon in Clarksville) only offer 87 octane, on all of their pumps. Used to be a place near Linden and Woodman that sold Turbo Blue, and I would bet that there's someplace in/ near Xenia that sells race fuel, due to Kil Kare. I used to run 92/ 93 in my bikes "because they use so little" (which isn't true. My 250 gets about 33 mpg), but tried 87 a few weeks ago and didn't notice a real difference. But it was hot as snot out, too, so maybe I was hallucinating.
  8. "Yourself" means, uhm, yourself. Not Isaac's Papa, not me. Just. Your. Self. We all have a perception of who we are and where we fall. Where do you perceive yourself? Of course, feel free to tell me that its none of my business.
  9. www.ohioysr.org for mini's. "Local" tracks above, but I would add Putnam Park to that list. Great track, and about 2.5 hours from you (just west of Indy). Indy Ducati is doing a track day at Putnam just after the MotoGP over there. Open to all makes, of course. www.indyducati.com Welcome!
  10. Breeze 125 ATV, but that shouldn't matter. Pull choke w/ cable from frame mounted knob to carb. No mods. Choke cylinder is "stuck"/ seized in its tube. Have it soaking in WD40 (great solvent, crappy lubricant) and Rust Eater. Any ideas on unseizing this? Only been sitting for a month, so not sure why it pulled this. Considering heating (yes, very aware of fuel/ solvents/ fumes/ etc). Any thoughts? TIA
  11. Bump. Sorry to all for seemingly having killed this game. Will post a new tag shortly, unless someone else gets one first. Be my guest, keep it rolling.
  12. Depends on the gearing, of course. Speedo is km/h, but guessing 60-65mph. Currently geared a little low (not like "stunter low" with a huge rear sprocket), so about 50-55, I'd guess.
  13. Hannity is in that portion (highhhhh income) that will feel the brunt of the taxes. Atlas is about to shrug. Overtax the achievers, and they'll stop working. They'll pull their money, sit back, and wait for things to change. I didn't find anything on the minimum wage earners specifically, but the study I found showed that the middle segment of the middle class (approx 20% of the population) will be paying about 50% more in federal taxes. Minimum wage earners don't pay taxes, anyhow. They typically get back more than they give. All part of the redistribution. It frustrates me when Justin/ jrmmiii and Cheech say "go find facts", but its actually a good thing. I'm not going to convince them to be conservative, and they're not going to convince me to be liberal. Having to back up statements is not a bad thing. Thats not to say that I'm going to go pull sources on everything I post, but I may think twice before posting it. For example, I had a rant last week where I said something to the effect of "liberals want to save trees, but kill babies". Find a source? Not worth it, when its a recognized truth. I think its interesting (and sometimes maddening) to see how the other side thinks, whatever the "other side" may be. At least things are usually kept fairly civil.
  14. Snarky. Who woulda guessed? Hmph. Whats the harm? Of course, I'll expect you to cite sources and dates...
  15. Okay, once again I'm going to offer $2,001 plus two years worth of mowing, leaf raking, trimming, and picking up sticks (no shoe-buckling, though) by 1000rrRider, in exchange for the bike. Oh wait, that may not work here....

  17. Saw somewhere that its about ten days from order to delivery. Just checking...
  18. Dgtl Grl: Tell him to use "motorcycle money", not real money. Motorcycle money is like Monopoly money. It doesn't carry the same weight as "real money". For instance, I'll hesitate to buy a $13 CD at Best Buy, but don't blink at $150 for a new pair of gloves. Motorcycle money. Its a wonnnnnderful thing. Oh, and the mistake he made was asking you about it/ discussing it with you. No offense, I'm just sayin'. He shoulda just shown up with it. Ever seen the King of Queens episode where Doug buys the Grand Cherokee (or whatever it was), and Carrie tries to take it back?
  19. $2,001 PLUS I'll have 1000rrRider mow AND trim the yard for this year AND next. This includes picking up sticks, raking leaves, etc. Lemme know. Seriously, though, I don't blame you for putting some extra effort into getting it sold. Point him to the pawn shop, let him do the rest. I'm guessing that you wouldn't get anything for the mower either, as many companies are going out of business, and its nearing the end of their season. 32" is a pretty small commercial mower.
  20. Fixation. Seemed okay till he saw the van, then straightened up and headed straight for it.
  21. Thats funny. Went through the thread and back to the homepage, and realized I hadn't even glanced at the pipes. Uhm, "nice pipes!". Love the bike. Went window shopping for one a couple of weeks ago. Decided that I'm not ready for a cruiser yet.
  22. Uhm, this guy that chased you down to comment on your exhaust: Did he ask for your phone #, too???
