Statistics are meaningless with out proper interpretation. However, every asshole with an agenda quotes statistics only in the context of what they feel the way things should be. Not the way things are. Sensible people need to realize that both sides are full of shit. Hell, I am more concerned about some of the police officers being armed than the concealed carry people I know.

Unfortunately, this is a hopeless subject. Common sense has been legislated to death. Hell, it has been unpopular for some time now. People will believe anything if they hear it often enough or if they can some how profit from it. No matter how idiotic it is.

I had the same issue with the 1000RR. The problem went away on its own. So, just keep on riding.

Thanks for all the good info. It looks like the Yamaha and Suzuki offerings are more to my liking. Naturally, the Warrior was discontinued in 09. The Marauder is heavy but felt right at home. Strange. The only thing that really amazed me is that they cost the same as an FJR1300. ???

I have to admit that I like the looks of some cruiser bikes. So, are there any cruisers bikes that handle well with decent ground clearance etc. ??? I would consider getting one but NOT something just to look at. If not from the factory, can they be made to work better. Certainly not looking to replace the 1000RR but, dragging shit on the pavement is for the birds. I am looking for a bike to enjoy at a more relaxed and comfortable pace. (Please no two-fiddy jokes or that I am slow enough as it is. ) HAS ANYONE TRIED TO IMPROVE A CRUISER AND MAKE IT MORE COMPETENT? MORE LIKE A STANDARD BIKE.

I don't know about this. I covered almost 200 miles this morning and the only people who did not wave / signal were four guys on sport or standards. Hell, there were silly people waving while I had her banked over pretty seriously. Some time you just have to smile. Moral of the story, I became the none waving dickhead on a Jap sport bike.

We are getting off track but I am intrigued. How did you rig the bike to handle the load for gloves, vest, chaps, etc. Forgot the foot warmers. Also a balaclava alone can not be enough to protect your face. How did you handle that?

I have been averaging about 8,000 miles. It gets stretched if I get to go out of state. My personal limit is 35F or so. How does anyone survive riding at 19F:wtf:??? Even on a sunny day that has got to be brutal.

Its not the Honda. Compared to some of the OR guys out there I am just a "medium velocity offender" I do not bounce as well or heal as quick as used to.

I was going to go to Circleville and watch the mini screamers race. However, if you guys take it easy (old and slow ) I am in. The weather looks great and I have never seen that part of the state. Saturday would be the better day.
