I shot one of these last weekend. It felt like the muzzle blast was trying to knock my face off.

A couple very minor dark spots here and there, but in overall excellent condition. Size XLW. I'm 5'8" and 165 lb. These are probably a little on the big side for me, especially the length in the legs. But arms and chest fit fine (I have really long arms). Probably ideal for someone slim and between 5'8 - 6'. For my build though I tried a couple of Taichis off the rack and this was the best fit I could find, which is certainly more than acceptable. $850

I know the M&Pc is a popular choice, but my first CCW pistol was an M&Pc in .40. I had all kinds of problems with it. Slide would hang back at least once per mag when the gun was not empty. Sent it back to Smith, they changed some springs and things. I tested it once (and it worked fine) before I sold it. No second chances for me if you are firearm that's failed. Now I carry a Sig P239 SAS in 9mm.

Have shot a couple events at TVP and I'm pretty much hooked on three long range stuff.

I picked up this rifle from Dale a few months back and have shot about 300 rounds through it. It was a beginner long-range gun for me. The rifle has always shot exceptionally well considering that it's $750 factory built. I can safely say it's a .75 MOA gun, possibly better. Caliber is .308. Factory muzzle brake, accustock and accutrigger. I added a Karsten cheek rest ($60). It also has a Farrel 20MOA base ($120) and a Harris bipod ($110). That's $1040 invested. Add a scope and rings and you're in business. In the sake of full-disclosure, this rifle did have some problems that required me to send it back to Savage. I had some problems getting it to eject reloaded cases. Savage determined that the chamber needed to have some burs polished. Since it was returned to me it has shot all reloads flawlessly, with no extraction issues at all. But I upgraded to a higher end precision rifle and need to recoup some of my costs out of this one. I would prefer that the transaction go through Dale so he can take care of the background check piece. $20 of the purchase price will go to Dale to cover his FFL fee. From what I've read, the white oak uppers are the cat's meow for service rifle. Kind of pricey though, and long lead times. I'm shopping for a Rock River NM A4, but they are hard to come by and also have 60-90 lead times if ordering from RR.

Any good American gun collection has to have at least one Garand in it. Even if you never shoot it, it's fun to point at the Germans while watching Saving Private Ryan. From what I hear, there are lots of guys that prefer the Garand in highpower matches, but it certainly isn't the easiest thing to shoot in those matches.

Thanks, that's great info. I'll look into the Alliance club as well. You are correct, max range at Zanesville I believe is 300m, so the 600 slow fire events are simluated.

Anyone here a member of Zanesville Rifle Club? Looks like they have the only CMP sanctioned highpower event in central Ohio.

It was an M&P, and it was in a inside the waist neoprene holster. They are still trying to figure out how it got turned to hit her in the chest. Must be lots more to the story. Striker fired concealment weapons make me nervous, especially knowing I've got kids around all the time. This is a perfect example why.

Have done a couple of CMP clinics at my club and I'm thinking about picking up a match grade service rifle and doing a full event. Anyone here already shoot CMP?

Was in Vance's on Tuesday and looked at a couple of these 870s. They show some rack wear but in reality have had little use. Pretty good deal on Remi 870 POLICE MAGNUMS. Not the standard 870. Milled receiver, metal trigger guard/assembly, heavy duty extractor.

I've still got a set of Chicken Hawk Pole Position warmers and a 3000W generator I need to unload. Warmers are in great shape and were just serviced by CH, the generator is, well, its a generator. Was looking to get $350 for the warmers, and $150 for the genny, but I'd make a deal at $450 for both. PM me if you want them. Located in Dublin, although the warmers could obviously be shipped.

So it sounds like he shot at him 6-7 times but the guy still got away. Did he miss or what?
