  1. The setup I referenced in my last post worked well for me. Allowed me to stream Spotify and use GPS app and kept my Note 5 at 100% charged. The cable is a thicker gauge wire that seems to allow for a better flow of power. Coupled with the connector. All of these items are relatively inexpensive. The adapter alone could still be limited by the cable or the connector from the battery. regardless, my set up now works.
  2. That's a pretty good plan. Worst case, you get the a few months expanding your knowledge about your new hobby. Best case, you are balls deep in something that pockets you mega kwon and you're a rainmaker.
  3. Just to report back in case someone else is curious or have similar problems. Additional information. I've tried my previous set up on two different bikes with similar lackluster charging. So I'm sure it is not battery or bike related. On my Galaxy Note 5 I'm sure the GPS and streaming of music with screen always on was just too much. USB connector was a dual port 2.1 Amp pigtailed off my Batter Tender SAE connection that is connected directly to the battery. As suggested I looked for a 3.1 Amp USB and went ahead and found a new micro USB cable that is a . Here are the items I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/Motopower-0609A-Waterproof-Motorcycle-Charger/dp/B01DYE54LI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493406044&sr=8-2&keywords=3.1+amp+SAE https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerLine-Premium-Motorola-Smartphones/dp/B019PZPYK6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493406067&sr=8-3&keywords=anker+cable+micro+usb+1+ft I would rather have kept my Battery Tender connector on the battery, but the short USB connector cable limited this. Turned on my GPS and Music with battery level at 80%. 100% in about 20 minutes. Only complaint is that neither item has a rubber cover to protect the SAE connection points from the weather. Appreciate the comments from everyone. Hope this helps others.
  4. I have 2.1 amp with a cable that is from a wall unit rated for 3.1. Guess I'll look into a 3.1 USB. Was wondering if my battery is not putting out enough after the conversion from 12 volt to 5 volt.
  5. Alright you techie sport tourers, I've got a SAE connection USB port that is connected to my battery tender pig tail. If I stream music and run GPS, the power is not enough to fully charge or even maintain the current battery level on my Samsung Note 5. I just dies a slow death. Anyone else run into this issue and found a solution? I'm planning a long trip in a months time and would like to run both apps.
  6. Will you be getting the AGV Goodwood in stock?
  7. I haven't been to MO in a few years. Depending on the day, I'd be in for this. Don't think I've met most of the track day addicts on this forum.
  8. I'll be down as long it's not near April the 22nd. Had to leave early last year due to my daughter's birthday party. I need my sag set if anyone can help with that. New bike needs to get dialed in for my fat ass.
  9. Hey! I was there as well! I stayed for the Ducati Detroit demo day on Monday too. Track is a fun and fast layout. I won't make the Trackfest. Trying to get a Grattan weekend in.
  10. Front and rear should be the same brand and model. They are usually designed to work together. I usually get the same rear until the fronts are ready to be replaced. Also your riding style would be helpful to know.
  11. Yeah. My vagina is not waterproof. I'll probably sit it out for the weekend also if it is wet in the morning... The roads, not my vagina...
  12. We were waiting. Tim and I hoped to start some sort of Korean Trinity Gang. Dynamic duo didn't have a good ring to it.
  13. Big thanks for hosting, bro. Great seeing old faces and meeting new ones. Sorry I had to leave early, but had to take care of daughters bday. But glad I came down.
  14. I'm still in. Didn't realize I live so close to you now. What time is everything starting. It's my daughters birthday so I'll only be able to hand for a couple of hours.
  15. OK, if you are talking about Detroit proper, then for all the reasons mentioned, I'd stay away...for now. I wish there was a bright spot, but I'm afraid until large large amount of money is thrown at downtown and the river front, then you'd be eating your time and money.
  16. Ditto. If jbot comes, there will be a higher than usual Asian contingency, I'll bring some kimchee and lays Korean bbq.. Just no Asian guy on guy stuff please. That's was just supposed to be a college thing
  17. I lived in Metro Detroit for 12 years. What are you looking to do? Rental, flips, residence, etc? Looking for what price range? I'd stay away Detroit city. Dearborn usually is good as you get Ford employees. We actually have a rental home that we are looking to unload next year. Canton has good school and is average home prices. Royal oak usually a safe bet. Then you can into nicer homes to the north or lower priced homes to the south.
  18. I've got an enclosed 5x10 Haulmark Trailer that I predominantly use to haul my bike to track days. I'm thinking about downgrading to a open utility trailer. It is in relatively good condition, with the exception of the inside plywood walls. It had a leak in the roof which was professionally repaired but I had to pull out the walls. Do you think I should spend the time and energy to put plywood back on it or should I just try to sell it as is? My issue is really time. I just don't have a allot extra time. How much do you think it would hurt the sale price? Thoughts.
