Woot! With personal life being in the way, this will be my first track day of the season. I love this track! I'l be meeting up with some friends from Michigan. I'll be the slow fucker on the 50th R1 in the "I" group. Give me a wave as you pass me.[emoji13]. Or I'll be the one downing a bottle of Glennlivet Saturday night by the campfire.
Suggestions for cars are so hard to give. For me at least it's such a personal decision. It's second only to a new m/c. You just have to drive each and see which one speaks to you. That's me though. I know others don't care and get what is practical. I never got a hard on for subi's. They're owners are a fanatically loyal bunch though. Just don't see the appeal.
I have had several pairs of A*s. I've noticed that the cheaper the glove, the quicker they wear out. I've got a pair of GPPro gloves that are awesome. My everyday gloves though usual last me just one or two seasons of commuting daily. The more leather there is the longer they wear. These fit me the best so I continue to get them. Every year I usually look for closeout specials and treat my self to new gloves for the riding season.
I just used this guy a couple of weeks ago for the new house we are getting. My Realtor recommended. I was there the whole time and he seemed thorough. But the house is pretty new so I wasn't expecting much. Seemed knowledgeable and gave me some good tips. Joe Glas Bee Sure Home Inspection Wadsworth, Ohio 330.336.8395
I'm admittedly a fair weather rider, so I'm out. Too many miles riding in storms to need to prove anything. Hope to catch you guys on another ride later.
Got good chuckle out of that. My MSF course taught me grab the brake, mount from the left side. That way in case you lose your footing mounting or dismounting, the kick stand will hopefully help you
Best setup by far. I researched for weeks. I have the stem mount instead of the u-bolt for my R1. The cradle is the X-grip. I take the cradle off and have a ram mount with suction cup in the car. Just a quick twist and I can move it back an forth. Great with my Note3. Complement this with a USB power line connected to the battery. GPS on the phone for long trips. LG TonePlus Bluetooth ear buds. Means music and turn by turn navigation for long trips. Some days you just want to get lost but still make it home for dinner.
You need to find highlights that show some back and forth passing, crash where they get up, etc. I'm thinking the race between Rossi and Biaggi where they are "rubbing" and then the doc gives him the bird
Mid Ohio is the closest track to me but I haven't gone in years since they don't have weekend other than twilight. I don't want to burn vacation days. It's such a great track. Such a pity
Hey bro. Looks like I'm out. We ate getting ready to list our house up for sale and it looks like the real estate agent will be coming this weekend for all the paperwork. I'll try to make a cameo appearance but it'll be a "while I'm out and about" decision.
The mounting points for the books of the frame sliders are often hidden behind the fairing of some sportbikes. No cut means the frame sliders are offset so you don't have to cut into the fairings. Regular (cut) sliders means you may have to drill a hole in the fairings because the mounting of the sliders are just straight out from where they bolt to the bike. Think of drilling a hole like a door knob. Not sure what it is like for the FZ1, but assume you should be fine.
