  1. though i don't currently have headphones, and the lab computers don't have speakers... this looks awesome.
  2. howabout a k&n air filter for my 05 r6?
  3. looking at this reminds me i need a tune... ugh more money.
  4. be careful with the in-gear method... you can lose a fingertip.
  5. !!!!!!! Orderes my Sharkskinz upper and lower today. Also, a Delkevic front fender. The LSL crash pads are already on, and the xenons are mounted and functioning flawlessly. She's gonna be one bad muthafucking bitch! Though I do want to do a track day, the more money I put into this, the less I want to ride it out there... Though, I am hoping to be able to paint the new and old plastics. That way I can put on the shitty ones for the track day, and feel less worried about wrecking. Yah, I'm that guy. I want my bike to look good. On another note, I still gotta do maintenence-ey crap. Oil, brake fluid, coolant, and have the valves checked. I can change fluids, but as for taking covers off and getting deeper into it, I'm a pussy. Sure I could, with a little tutelage, but who's got the time for that? Psh, not this guy. Oh yah, definitely want a new air filter too. One I can rinse off and not watch foam fall off. One more thing! Actually four. There's the new windscreen bolts. Not a big deal, but those spikes the P.O. had on it were uckin fugly. Period. And I've got a correct length rear brake line, as well as axleblocks, to put on, since he thought stretching a 600 was cool... Also... I'll be buying some new grips, as the red will be weird. Which reminds me... I'll be needing to get a white OR sticker now. The only other thing I'm considering is getting rearsets, and having my passenger pegs powdercoated black. Yah. I can't concentrate on homework. Yay beer on an empty stomach.
  6. yah... i'm generally in a hurry to go. and rolling the bike back and forth to slowly turn 90 degrees in my living room, and then squeeze it out the door generally gets my flop sweat all floppy and sweaty. so i just wanna get on and go. but, when rolling down the sidewalk, i can hear the gas sloshing and gauge how much i got. oil has never been low, so i don't feel the need to check that except when i do my chain lube every other week ish. coolant always worries me at first glance when its cold, but after it's hot, it's up to par. i never leave home without: jeans, boots, jacket, helmet, gloves, wallet, phone, and usually beat-stick.
  7. i'd think you were telling me to thank god or the flying spaghetti monster for my ride... either way, i'd probably think you more of a tool than if you just ignored my wave..
  8. Something like that. It holds well enough, so I don't really need rigidity.just another connection to keep other things from breaking next time I decide to drop it.
  9. Neat stuff. You making a channel with all your repairs and upgrades and crap?
  10. plastex... hm. idk, if it's like epoxy it'll probably break as well. if i do anything it'll be putting a bolt through it. that'd for sure hold. glue sucks. on a brighter note, i posted pics of the lights in the bug eyes thread!
  11. SHE LIVES!!! It's kinda crowded up there. Slanted cutoff line. I'm pretty satisfied with it. Now, if only I had my plastics on, and my seat. I wanna ride so freaking bad.
  12. Bunch of dicks you are. Go out and ride. Cuz I can't.
  13. carwhore may know? sorry to post and get your hopes up lol. maybe this'll help?
  14. From when I went down, one of the 4 plastic "collars" that held my headlight assembly in place snapped off. It still holds fine with 3. What I mean by "collars," as I am unsure of the terminology: The headlight housing has a screwhole that is raised up about a half inch, and the screwhole itself fits in a rubber grommet on the fairing stay. the screw squeezes the headlight housing onto the stay. So, the raised screwhole snapped off. I epoxied it on, with the hopes of being gentle, but you simply can't put any tension on that stuff. It popped as I was tightening. I tried twice. Second time, I got it snug, but it still popped. Now, my question is this: Should I leave it be? It holds fine. I rode without even knowing it broke for a couple weeks after the fall. Or, should I drill through the other end on the housing, and put my own bolt through with washers at each end to squeeze it? It would be more secure, but it would also be pretty ghetto. Picture for reference: This is not the side I broke.
  15. that r1 definitely caught my attention. ideas, ideas...

i would be out... but i just can't make the time to work on my bike, and she's all apart and ready to be loved on. so she sits.
  17. I'd be interested in this. I want to do a day, but I'm generally spending my money on frivolous things. I'd need to buy leathers too.
  18. there are some good ones here. i went to high school with a guy named Luke Sky Walker. It's less fucked up than it is awesome in my book, but weird nonetheless.
  19. i've talked to one of the guys at sportbiketrackgear. he seemed to have raced a season with every single product available. if i were that concerned, i'd ask them about fit. but for me, my star is the best quality for price. if i wanted the best comfort, then i'd walk around all day in my pj's, bath robe, and giant scooby doo slippers...
  20. So long as you test a sample and have the right constituents, steel is steel. Do they just assume that what they are buying is perfect?
  21. heh dick lick... I can only think of one, which i doubt they even knew the connotation when naming their asian child... Long Dong.
