Jinxed myself to not get a hole? thanks!
-
I expect a nail in every new rear tire... Because I always get one. And then I plug it. With my wal-mart bell plugs and then I pump it up with my wal-mart compressor. Then I go a buck eighty and flap my arms. Never had a plug budge. OEM oil.

I'm thinking hard about getting a new jacket for cold weather riding. my perforated leather just isn't cutting it. I like the butt coverage of 3/4 and the ones with double zippers would alleviate bunching in my lap. The one I've been eyeing is the alpinestars koln. Anyone have experience with this jacket or others like it? Thoughts? prices? I do like saving money but I do want a good jacket.

Your bike definitely gives me a hard on.

I've got an 05 that needs a transmission shaft. It has been laid down, but I do have sharkskinz street body work for it. Unpainted yet. The engine's out already, but I just haven't had time to order the shaft. Though it does have new coils and I cleaned up the tps last year.(the cause of one of the wrecks...

Most of those were caused by the cars... Sure, plenty of idiots on two wheels too. Overall they are just bad at driving.

went to walmart today. Saw zero 22 ammo. Is it a commodity, our do walmarts generally keep a miniscule inventory?

It's been in the back of my head for years. I was in school, or working at the gubment, or poor, all of which wouldn't really allow me the expenditure of time or money. But this weekend, I go the itch again, and posted an open, inquisitive status on facebook. My dad calls me and tells me he bought one recently that would be right up my alley. A Smith & Wesson 22A1. I was asking about .22s in particular, simply because I am not sure if I'll even like the sport, so I'd rather not invest a lot. Plus, it may be small enough that the very nonviolent wifey might give it a try one day, though it's doubtful. I've read they are pretty accurate, but may be picky. Federal Bulk was quoted as a good ammo for it. idk what that even is. If it's literally from Uncle Sam or its just a brand name. Maybe I'll google it after i close all the Smith & Wesson pages. Anywho, just thought I'd post up here, see your opinions, and advice, as well as ask who around Centerville/Dayton goes to ranges and where? I'll probably first get to know it in dad's back yard though. He has plenty of land and a giant gravel pile.

they're a half hour apart and 3 hours long! idk if i can come up with cloning in a month. oh well one for saturday and one for sunday. they definitely do sound cool though. i wish she would get in the water, i'd love to go canoeing.

We're planning a little trip to Mammoth Cave in a couple weekends. I'm sure some of you guys have been there. What were your thoughts? Any specific tours to recommend? Or other activities in the vicinity? We like hiking in the woods, so a walk through the park, as well as the cave, is on my mind. Also, what's a good hotel with a hot tub? Seems like there's not a lot of options in good ole KY. Thanks for any opinions.

You Meet The Nicest People On A Goldwing Well Almost
RSparky replied to HeavyDuty's topic in Daily Ride
absolutely awesome. -
Well it's wrapped and "painted". Could have done better, but it's my first go at it. I may call them and discuss it sometime if this starts to rot or otherwise not satisfy.
-
who would i go to in dayton? i looked it up and there seems to be industrial shops that probably wouldn't do just one pipe and if they do, it'd probably be expensive.
-
Already bought the wrap. I may just not paint it... the titanium wrap doesn't look too hateful.

Hey all, I just installed a new Two Bros exhaust, and am loving it! I was hoping by doing so, and disabling my exhaust valve, I could get rid of some under-seat heat, but not so much. It still scorches me baby legs. So, I want to wrap my mid-pipe. Not for performance, so no need to tell me it'll make me go slower, cuz the 675 is plenty fast for me anyway. Anywho, I bought the DEI Titanium exhaust wrap. Heard it was good, and I hate fiberglass. It is evil. It's kind of silvery, which would look fine, but I'm kind of wanting it black. I read the silicone paint doesn't stick too well to the titanium wraps. Is this true? Will a regular hi temp paint work? I'd also like to use some sort of paint because I've read my pipe could possibly corrode. I do ride in the rain and nastiness. Advise me.

I Want The Quietest Helmet I Can Find(yes Another Helmet Thread)
RSparky replied to 2talltim's topic in Daily Ride
it's supposed to hurt the first time.... couldn't find the buttsecks one... my bell hurt my forehead for a bit. but it's nice now. as for quietness, you know to avoid bell. that's my only experience other than scorpion, which was too long ago to accurately recall. my vote is read up on webbikeworld. -
Maybe I'm stereotyping, but I do know my wife. Girls are trained to look pretty. I'd think she'd take the same training to a motorcycle. If it's not pretty, like last year's purse, she won't put her wallet in it. Then, you just hurt your wallet. My $0.04... Once again, I'm biased, but the first gen Ninja 650's are killer, imo. if you can get over the banana seat, which my butt still misses, the plastics are simple and smooth, and I like it.

I've read a bit about auctmarts. i recall they are the $500 kit, and people said the graphics looked fine, but the fitment didn't always add up. Completely fixable though. If motofans is the same price, do it. If not, I'd probably go auctmarts. What's a bike mod without a little frustration?

"Loud pipes, for the hell of it." was a patch I saw yesterday.... My dad had me try some ear plugs he got t a plant. I had been using the little foam half circle on a stick. Aka, not a lot of attenuation, but definitely formed a seal, which did its job. Anywho, skull screws. Sounds like a dick filled porno, but man. Squeeze those suckers in and say goodbye to the world. The other plugs would soften things. These, I can hear the ocean! In a parking lot full of whiny kids! Love it.

mind if i join in? we have a 20 high with stand we want to get rid of. other direction, though. dayton area.

i'll wait for google glass. get that shit on some safety glasses if they don't put it in visors. theirs is android powered, so i'm sure it's piggybacking on the idea.
