  1. Went with some recommendations and got a Toshiba and went against some(including my own) and got a Celeron and Win 8.1, here is the one I got on hold.. http://www.microcenter.com/product/428324/Satellite_C55-A5190_156_Laptop_Computer_-_Satin_Black_in_Trax_Horizon minus the dislikes it was the best bang for the buck. At least with it being a new one vs. refeb I get a 1 yr warranty and the abilty to return it if im not happy. The wife is going to pick it up for me tomorrow and ill get to play on Thursday, thank for all the help and PM's.
  2. Like I said I think brands make little to no difference they all use the same components.I agree with the Celeron being crap they are basically built to be a value line processor anyway. I'm probably going to sit down tonight and decide which one at micro center I want and have my wife pick it up on her lunch hour tomorrow.
  3. Need to decide soon my kid wants hers back..lol
  4. Can think if a better way to spend it, a get away from the little monsters..lol
  5. Yup Whits has been open in Vernon for a while I drive by every day to and from work
  6. Sorry to hear bro, don't know what else to say.
  7. i remember seeing that but im not really a fan of the atom processor, my wife had one for school and it always ran hot and played videos like crap. I sold it when she graduated due to that.
  8. My referb desktop is a HP and the my kids lap top that i am currently pecking away on right now is a HP never had a problem with either one. Ive also hear folks say the same about Dell but i only reason my old one crapped out is because it had a dead spot in the screen(due to me dropping it) and ive been flicking at it or smacking it for the last couple years to make it work and tonight i smacked it a little too hard and spider webbed it, just not worth putting a $80 screen in a 12 yr old purputer in my opinion. I think most computer are as good as their components and 90% of the builders use the same crap anymore I was reading up on the Win7 downgrade and yea sounds like you can do it to all of them
  9. i think that what microcenters are too and they are a brick and mortar store i can go pick it up and be able to work out any problems if they arise. The desktop we have was bought there as a referb and its been the best one ive ever owned for only $159
  10. this one caught my eye too but i really dont like windows 8 but i guess i could get used to it http://www.microcenter.com/product/428277/D550MA-DS01_156_Laptop_Computer_-_Black
  11. My old 12 year old dell finally crapped out. I don't need anything special just mild web searching, OR, FB, youtube and of course porn. What id like to have is windows 7, dual core processor, and a decent size screen wif is a must. What I don't want windows 8 or vista, chrome book, netbooks, shity viedo playback. And when I say cheap, im ok with referbs and semi outdated stuff. Like to get in the $200 range. Any input suggestions or comments are welcome. Here is one I seen on microcenters site.. http://www.microcenter.com/product/427998/ThinkPad_X61_121_Laptop_Computer_Refurbished_-_Black

  14. Too light for my hoggs, connie is 700 pounds wet with bags empty and the wifes vstar is around the same, don't want to push the limits. Im currently using 2 steal ramps bolted together that weigh a ton, thought the lighter ones would have been nice.
  15. I typed a big long thing then deleted it, my only response now is....Meh!...sorry to disappoint Sam
  16. wasn't a whole troop there was just 2 of us, but yea there is a bit of risk going alone

  19. i'd lean against it in a parking lot for a bike night but that's about where the facination ends for me. I do like the paint scheme
  20. there is a group of older folks that ride around mount vernon that ride these they even call themselves "the rebel riders" they are a bad ass MC
  21. 520 conversion to save weight(and because all the cool kids do it) and stretched to make it handle worse, gearing change to make the revs higher and less mpgs, yet it has touring tires on it. Just trying to figure out the MOD theme to this bike.
