  1. Just seems like a lot of people do it just because "all the cool kids are doing it"..lol..me personally I want the chain to be as strong as it can be, I dont care if im on a 250 or a 1400. If I want to shave a few pounds ill go take a good healthy one before I ride
  2. If it's the 4th i know I won't be doing a tire, won't need it yet. But still might come for the gang bang.
  3. Always thought the conversion was stupid on any street bike. Why purposely make the chain weaker just to save a couple pounds.
  4. I know most will frown on it but I had a Wal-Mart battery in the TL for 4 years with no problems.
  5. Kerosene to clean and PJ1 blue label clear to lube the rollers only on a oring or xring chain
  6. Keep in mind this is a coolant only not an antifreeze.
  7. end of May on a Sunday is my suggestion the 25th maybe
  8. I was hoping to go out and do some wrenching on the old steed this weekend but I'm getting sick and have to work tomorrow. I got those AST pegs to put on
  9. Used one of these to haul my bike to Colorado and South Dakota last year. Only problem I has was I lost the licence plate some where in Illinois. I borrowed that one, I need one of these but I was going to get the foldable one.(I've got enough crap in my yard) plus I've already spent to much money this month
  10. I'v got a similar deal in play. I have 4 days booked at our time share in Gatlinburg for the kids spring break(wife cant go)(indoor water park and all that) for the end of march. Then im off for 2 1/2 weeks in June, for 5 days in Myrtle beach with the family, 4 days OR deals gap trip, them im home for 3days then this trip. And then a week in November for our 17/20 year anniversary (20 years together/17 married) amd we will be taking cruise(just the 2 of us) for that. Except for 2 one days that's all my vacation accounted for, for this year.
  11. I actually never even thought about my seat being solo or what it looked like. These things are of little importance to me, comfort, handling and reliability take priorities over everything else. Hell when your ass is in the saddle you can't see it anyway..lol
  12. Damn! ,I don't have that many unplanned vacation days left. Unless we cancel our time share trip in March
  13. How many days are you looking at for that trip?
  14. Just because tourers have big cc don't mean they have big power. They are tuned and geared for smoothness and comfort and some for mpgs. For example a 750 and up full sport bike would take my 1400 on the top end easy. But I can leave mine in 6th and pull out of a 25mph roll without shifting.
  15. Sport tourer (VFR,FJR, C14, ST) or adventure bike(VStrom,Versy,GS, Multi) sound like your options. If you don't plan on doing any gravel or mild off road I'd stick with the sport tour. The ADV bike will be your cheaper option but you get a lot of bang for your buck out of the sport.T. I've seen quite a few in your price range.
  16. I drag the floorboards on my wife's V-Star going around the public square in mount Vernon...LOL
  17. Always thought that one was quicker than my white one
  18. Is that the OR whore of quads? Just like Pokey owns the OR whore of bikes.
  19. should i send you my shipping address or just show up with my trailer?
  20. should i sent my shipping address or just show up with my trailer?
  21. got ya...the big bangs I have are huge in width almost too wide so my new ones are a nice fit
  22. Don't think these are rated as a wide or a D just saying they are a bit above average compared to say a sneaker
  23. Someone needs a ass whoopin!!!!!!!!!!
  24. I'd say a medium width, they fit me about like my Carhartt work boots but a little wider than a pair of Nike's. For a guy my size I actually have small feet and hands I wear a 11D and these cup the sides of my foot nicely without feeling too confined.
