this might be the problem, I have never cleaned it I just keep adding mink oil. My seat gets a lot of abuse, because it sit out in the dew at night when im at work and if I know im going to ride to work the next night ill leave it sit out in the sun all day on the sidewalk.

I have been using mink oil on the seat of my Connie. It works it just seems to wear away awful fast, seems like I'm having to reapply every couple weeks . Does the actual leather conditioning stuff last longer or is it just because it's out in the elements in the rain is making it go away quick. In other words I don't want to go spend money on different leather conditioner just to have the same result. sent via GS3

that's kind of what I'm doing but it's Monday freeway zoom, Tuesday/Wednesday ride, Thursday freeway zoom. My weekends are done for the rest of the season because of kids sports activities. Bought my Nolan N90 a couple months ago and it's supposed to have a anti fog shield on it well once the temps got below 50 in the mornings it is basicly rubbish. The Nolans have Pinlock visors on them so for $20 for a pinlock lens i thought i would give it a go. And HOLY CRAP! why didnt i do this sooner, it was 43 and foggy as hell when i left work this morning and with the pinlock lens my commute was perfectly clear. So i will never buy another helmet with out it. sent via GS3 Yup there was a little confusion in the transfer of information. in fact the ST on the front did have a little over 10,000 miles on it. That makes a lot of sense and now I'm not scratching my head trying to figure out how I ate it up in less than that.

I think so, I put the new front tire on today and the front brake pads will need replaced this winter for sure. They are down to maybe 30%. Plus i wonder with that front being a ST and the Rear a GT is also why the difference in the wear. Im going to tighten up the pre load in the front a bit and maybe take little off the rear and see what happends. New rubber on the front i feel like superman again at least for a little while.

Ive got about 5000 miles on my set and the front is almost done but the rear prob has another 3000 or 4000 left in it. Yea I'm still trying to figure out how I wore the front out first. It wore evenly all the way across and no chicken strips, I think I'm brakeing that big heavy bitch a little too much. I'll know more in the morning when I pull the wheel for a tire change and check out the front brake pads. sent via GS3
