Reposted because i forgot the date...... Farmstead Poker Run (for Hospice)14th annual 8/18/2012 It's that time of the year again, this is the only poker run i still go to. It is hosted by Dick and Evowne Dailey of mount vernon at their home and all money goes to Hospice. They welcome all to camp out days before and after completly FREE. They host one hell of a party after the ride. Food(alway way too much), games, bon fire, bands(supposed to be a good one this year), autions, tattoo aritst, burn out pit, (dyno guys were there 2yrs ago). BYOB or they sell it there. By far the best biker fund raiser event any where, good times for a good cause..Any other info needed just ask me. I will be there with a few fiends and we will be camping out Saturday night (we dont drink on the ride), we all ride metric bikes most of them cruisers and me on my V-strom(used to be TL that will be there too with its new owner). PM me if you think you might wanna attend, and if you want to camp we will save a spot for your tent. if you look at the pics. on the web site you might think it looks like a ruff croud but its mostly local bubbys tha just want to have a good time. http://www.farmsteadpokerrun.com/

yup the z's will do that on the black one i had i already had a block off plate on it, im keeping an eye on my white one

Last week I ordered some goodies for the new wheels. I needed a taller screen for the v- strom so I ordered a N.C. V-Stream and I love it. And momma claims she just had to have loud pipes so I suprised her a bought some Vance&Hines slip ons for her V-star, and tho a bit too loud for me she loves them. Didn't really have the scratch to spend but decided to use my paypal pay later account which has 6mo. 0 % intrest on orders over $100 so it worked out well. All together RD saved me probobly a total of $70 vs buying anywhere else, and I received both packages in 2 days after ordering. So thanks again Nate and RD keep up the good work and awsome deals.

Keep an eye on him or he will be ramping jumps down at wayne on that R6 if you keep him in line..lol

Ok took her out yesterday for a 230 mile mixed ride, we hit country roads, city streets, some wicked twistys,and the freeway.(ended up going south instead of north due toweather forcast) Over all comfort is lots better than the Tl, but the seat needs a little work there is a preaure point right on my tail bone, so ill prob send it out to itsagreatdaytoride this winter and have some gel added. The new wind shield is about perfect, while very tall I still can see over top to a proper sight line with out looking though it, it throws the wind right at the top of my helmet.(but with all the wind at that point now I think the helet is too noisey, but I wasn't usung my ear buds yesterday either) Other things I need to change or adjust is the clutch lever, I want it to grab sooner, I don't like how it don't grab till all the way out. And in the long run I might look into a stearing damper, but ill wait and if ibe a better feel for it. A bonous is my magnetic tank bag that I already had works perfect and where it sits I don't even have to remove it to put gas in. The wife went with me and even though sore from riding to stiff(from me making her go on rt 669...lol) she said her new vstar is a far improvment over the shadow.

yea i do brake fluids every winter on all my rides so the clutch will go right along with that. I used PB1 clear chain lube, i love that stuff

And i found a top box i think im going to like, its not detachable but its gloss black and has a built in back rest for my kiddos, only paid $40 delivered so if i dont like it ill just sell it and try again.

I took all your hi tech gadetry off today too, ill keep it around incase i ever want to use it, but i got tired of answering the "what the hells that? question:D. My new windscreen is suposed to be here today, just in time for a 250 mile ride tomorrow.

gave her a bath today and cleaned the chain because the previous owner said "thats the only thing i havent done yet":nono:..Holy crud:eek:, i originally i thought the rear sprocket was black, turns out that bugger is silver, who'd a thunk it:rolleyes:, hope he dont treat thet lovely R that sits in his garage that way:lol:

Yea im not a fan of the rubber top on them, seems to give too much. If im ever down your way i wouldnt mind checking those out.

I know i love water clutches....seriously though i never knew what i was missing never having a "hydraulic".

Two more things to add... Speeding tickets are coming on this thing, too quiet and smooth, dosnt seem like I'm going that fast.was cruising on a county road on the way to work tonight and look down, I'm doing 80..ops And I haven't located the trolls that keep filling my tank up, almost 100 miles and the tank still say almost full, the TL would have been flashing at me by then..lol
