What hand guards do you have on your Z?

They didn't. But didn't make the the 14 till 08. Before 08 they were 1000cc and were carbed

You know your welcome to take mine out too. But the C14 is 08 and up. The 06 and 07 were the C10 and had carbs. For a C14 I'd look for at least a 10 and up or 12 and ups are even better. But the 09 and 09s will be the ones you'll find cheap. Nothing wrong with them they just made tweaks that made them better after 10 then again in 12.

I have a touring bike. If I want to tour I'll take it. You will not see IT on a trailer unless it broken or wrecked.

I'm tapped out for vacation. I had surgery yesterday and wont be able to get on the bike for at least 2 weeks. I'm hoping the doc writes me off work till the 24th(September) and I can sneak down to the gap the weekend before. But my plan was to trailer the Z down for its maiden gap voyage. No I'm not riding that SOB down. If you guys plan some thing in October I might be able to meet you down there on the Connie IF I'm not scheduled to work that weekend. But as always that a day by day notice leading up to the weekend. So don't plan anything around me but there is a slim chance I can make a cameo appearance.

Oh I agree body position helps a lot I found myself using it on the Connie on Long sweepers especially roads like the cherohala skyway. If I don't do it I'm dragging hard Parts in every sweeper so I found it a necessity. But she's too heavy to flip back and forth on technical stuff Yep I bought a bike that's the exact opposite of what I'm used to and that's what exactly what I wanted to do

Been there done that before but its been quite a few years. Probably 7 years since I had the old TL down there. Need to relearn a few things. I have noticed I'm running about the same pace I do on the connie but now it's effortless to do it instead of having to force the heavy pig into the corners.

I'm having surgery myself on Tuesday won't be able to ride for a couple weeks after. I'm hoping maybe the weekend before I go back to work I can throw the new bike on the trailer and make a Gap trip before I go back to work.

Might be doing the same but a couple weeks later. Have fun man.

So I just added up the list of farkles and stuff the bike came with and the total was $3100. And that dosnt include any intake stuff, tune or things I dont know about. Or the T-rex front and rear stands I gave him $100 for.

It has a arrow 4 into one race header and a SP engineering muffler. Now the guy I bought it from didn't do the work, the previous owner did. He did not know if it was tuned or flashed or not. I think it runs a tad lean but it does not throw any codes or lights with the exahst valve and O2 sensor removed. So that tells me they had to have done something I just don't know what. What are you thoughts on that?

I like the white and orange too. But the deal on this one was too good. I got it for a little under book with about $2k worth of farkles on with all the original parts too.
