So I'm sitting here pool side in myrtle beach and having a great time relaxing. Some of you have seen my post on FB the last few days for those that haven't I'll shared a couple pics below. This is usually my family vacation but my family is getting older one kid stayed at home and the other one just wants to camp out in the room and not hang out with Mom and Dad all week. So that got me thinking what if we do in Ohio Rider's Beach getaway trip. We could do it mid May maybe even around one of the bike weeks if we're so inclined. Doesn't necessarily have to be a riding event you could drive down in your car or even ride down if you wish. If it's a small enough group I could even possibly get us all into my timeshare. The resort I'm staying at this week has three different pool decks with eight different pools couple lazy Rivers even barbecues and fire pits. Would be awesome for a little group of folks. So this is just a feeler thread to see who would be interested. I can't do anything till next year all my vacation is allotted for this year. This week we are down here is the week between the bike weeks they had a Harley-Davidson regular bike week last week and this coming weekend is what they call the Black Bike Week. And yes that is exactly what it sounds like mostly African-American crowd custom bikes Hayabusas big Cruisers with loud stereos. I always stay in North Myrtle Beach is which is more of a family crowd less crouded beaches. Anyway, comment on what you think or any other ideas ect.

2nd test run with the phone charger yesterday. Ran GPS nav, GPS tracking and steamed Pandora with the screen off and only lost 1% in about 15 min. Also noticed my rear TMPS is cutting in and out. Come on and goes off. Not sure if that is due to the chargers interference or not. Jury is still out on that. 9v fast charge adapter is ordered.

Yea I got rick rolled a lot a couple weeks ago trying to watch movies.

Down a couple more pounds this morning. Official pre vacation weigh in is tomorrow morning. FYI I'm real close to my BIG goal. Not even sure I want to eat what I want on vacation now like I normally would.

It was yesterday for me too but seem a lot faster today.

I find entertainment sometimes in trolling Harley Pirates on "biker" facebook pages. The one come come back they usually have that is very common is "your just mad because you can't afford a Harley" I don't know why but usually I laugh even harder when they say that. So that's it? If you can afford a over priced POS with 1980s technology at 2050 prices, that is what makes you cool?

Ive never had the tank off my bike but then again the only thing you can get to under it is the intake manifold that is also doubles as a little thing they call the frame.

Commuted to work in day light both ways so didn't get to try the lights out so much. But did check the heat sink temp when i got home and they were around 135°

Test run on the phone charger tonight. It did not lose charging signal at all even going up a shity uneven brick street. Had GPS nav, GPS tracker, streaming Pandora and screen on bright and the battery lost 1% every 10 min. Still running the 5v 2.1 amps. Next test run tomorow same scenario but want to see what it dose with screen off. Will be ordering a 9v fast charge adapter for it if the second test duplicates the results of it continuing to charge without interruption.

I'm sure you have or were planning on it. But check adventure riders they pop up all the time.

Yea that's the only unforeseen thing. My bike has 2 head lights so if one fails I'm not fucked. Also I can change mine out in about 5 min with no tools if need be so I'll probably carry the old bulbs with me for a while. They do get good reviews on amazon and other than the LED elements they don't have much failure points. @Danimal ran a similar set on his china bike and didn't have any issues.

Got and installed the LEDs tonight and they are fucking amazing. No need to cut or trim the boot, no need to mount drivers just plug and play. The bracket spins off the bulbs. You insert the bracket in the headlight housing and then the bulb and the boot Twist on the bracket together. I did not take a side by side or before pics I was too excited to get them in. I ran them in the garage with the motor running for 10 min and the hottest I seen the heat sinks get was 160 degrees. Went for a very short test ride and holy sheet they are nice. When i got back from rode they were 120 deg. Only thing yet to be seen as how long they last and durability. Here are the pics I did take.

Did it come in a discreet brown paper package? I kid I kid. Yeah that bleeder setup looks nicer than my cheap ass Harbor Freight one. Mine gets the job done but kind of a pain in the ass sometimes.

Because I didn't know it was going to work at all. Baby step, baby steps. I literally came up with the idea and ordered the charger on Saturday evening.

I didn't order any adapter. I have built in USB socket on the dash of my bike.

That will be the next thing if the concept even works. I didn't want to spend the extra bank roll on a adaptive charger and the thing not even work out at all.

All relative for $11 I'll see what I get.

The issue with that is the quickest fast charging requires 9V input from a adaptive supply. Currently i'm only running 5v 2.1a

Yea I use it at home too. I'm not expecting miracles, if it were anymore expensive or involved I would not have even attempted. I do use offline maps and don't steam music all the time vs music already on my phone. I left the USB cord useable for the long hauls. My main goal here if nothing less is to make my phone easily mountable and dismountable for when I'd like to grab a photo or something of that sort. Cant count how many times ive seen something I may have wanted to take a quick photo of but didn't want to dick with unpluging and repluging my phone back in with gloves on.
