  1. I have a top 5 reasons why I "HATE" Harleys and here is one of them based on the price of their units. Don't know if most have you noticed but as you travel this great country of our you will pass many HD, Euro and Metric dealers alike. Have you ever noticed on average how much fancy and extravagant the HD dealers are over the other? Now there are exceptions to this rule I'm just going on the average. For example if I google search the nearest dealers to me right now this is what I find. The top one charges $42k for a bike/trike. The bottom one if they have one in stock charges $5k to $7k less for a simular bike that is better equipped, more reliable, better warranty and will be a all around better bike.
  2. Only one thing this thread is missing...... @magley64 .....DONE!
  3. Really don't see how these can even come close to a 12volt plug in liner. When your in the rain wind and elements. Maybe for a soccer mom working the sidelines of a game it will do but I doubt on the open road.
  4. Yea cheap China mirrors on eBay or Amazon might be the ticket.
  5. Nice looking ride. That big single thumper I always thought was a cool platform.
  6. I added it up and 3 of my cars, both bikes, a 4 wheeler, and a zero turn mower total price I paid still dosnt add up to $42k
  7. Plug on dash is only on when the key is on. I ran a usb adapter to my tender lead to my battery and it's under the right fairing cover and it's powered all the time. Ran a rampow usb cord along my bars and down my forks where its neat abf out of sight. The rampow has metal housings and braided cord and has life time warranty. I found UV rays eat the plastic and cords on traditional cables. Have a x grip on my right bar and my cup holder on my left.
  8. I'm a product of this myself. My grandfather (dad's dad) was an orphen grew up homeless most of his young life, while he was a hard working man later on he made almost nothing. He was a violent and an alcoholic father. My grandmother of 9 kids died at a early age of cancer. So my dad and his siblings were raised literally dirt floor broke.(dad said a shack they lived in for 10 years had no floor) being raised by a widowed alcoholic father that beat them with on inches of thier lives some times. My dad and a few other of his sibling raised up and cleaned them selves off and they (not society) made a life for themselves. Now a few of my other aunt's and uncles chose not to do this and are stuck in what you call is the cycle Jim. While we grew up on a limited income. My dad worked hard and treated us good, so me and my wife took that one step further and said our kids would have it even better. On a side note story my wife grew up a carni kid and dumpster dived for her food some nights. Never had a place she could call home for more than a few months at a time. Now she is a college educated professional. Never claimed to be a victim or ask for help or even expected any.
  9. I wouldn't call her a victim of society. I'd call her a domestic victim. Society as a whole didn't put her in that fucked up situation.
  10. Yes it's a copy and paste but how is it a "real pile of shit" Only the part about him opposing slavery is a opinion. Through his history there were facts to prove and disprove this but it remains a opinion on both sides. Regardless of who and what Lee was, it means NOTHING on what is going on in the country today. I just don't understand what they are trying to prove. Slavery was a travesty don't think anyone will refute that, so it was abolished. Nothing we can do about it now. There aren't any victims of society any more, only victims of system that rewards people that refuse to better themselves.
  11. Your history lesson for the day. Robert E Lee was married to George Washington's step granddaughter. He worked with Grant during the Mexican-American war and became a decorated war hero defending this country He believed slavery was a great evil and his wife broke the law by teaching slaves to read and write. After the civil war he worked with Andrew Johnson's program of reconstruction. He became very popular with the northern states and the Barracks at West Point were named in his honor in 1962. He was a great man who served this country his entire life in some form or other. His memorial is now being called a blight. No American military veteran should be treated as such. People keep yelling, "You can't change history." Sadly you can. This is no better than book burnings. ISIS tried rewriting history by destroying historical artifacts. Is that really who we want to emulate? As they tear down this "blight" keep these few historical facts in your mind. No military veteran and highly decorated war hero should ever be treated as such. This is not Iraq and that is not a statue of Sadam. IN ADDITION:: Lee was also very torn about the prospect of the South leaving the Union. His wifes grandfather George Washington was a huge influence on him. He believed that ultimately, states rights trumped the federal government and chose to lead the Southern army. His estate, Arlington, near Washington DC was his home and while away fighting the war, the federal government demanded that Lee himself pay his taxes in person. He sent his wife but the money was not accepted from a woman. When he could not pay the taxes, the government began burying dead Union soldiers on his land. The government is still burying people there today. It is now called Arlington National Cemetery. DO THEY WANT TO TEAR THAT UP ALSO ??
  12. Might ride Saturday but not sure I want to hit SEO. Done that my last 3 times out.
  13. Only thing holding us to Ohio right now are the kids. I don't want to pull them away from friends and family till they are done with school. So in 4 years when they are out we will be looking to make a move south as well. We are thinking western Carolinas or northern Georgia. My house will be paid off in 6 years so I might wait till then but that will be the latest it will happen.
  14. Cleaned up the way I powered my devises. Ran all my power cords down the bars to below the fairing instead of having everything plugged into the power outlets on the dash. Looks so much cleaner. And now I have 2USB and a 12volt outlet on the dash to use as a back up . Multi meter in in my phone mount as a reference for the picture since I needed my phone to take the pic.
  15. Not reading thought this whole tread to not find the info I'm looking for so.... What time of day will y'all be doing this?I'm only 15 min away from the track and get off work at 3p. So if it is that timeish I'll come and be a cheerleader on the side lines. I can dress the part if you really want me to.
  16. Nice!!! I have heard of the Holdens but never really research into them to learn more till you posted this. The SS is a great platform and has done well for GM. I think GM and Ford have caught up maybe even surpassed some of the imports in performance and reliability in the last 3 to 4 years when it comes to cars people want to buy and drive every day(like the malibu and fusion also the equinox and escape). I think they finally listened to public out cry and stepped up their game. I also think dodge shot themselves in the dick dumpping so much in their Jeep and performance lines . While they are cool they aren't what the masses want or need. They are targeting a niche audience and I think it will be their demise. They have already branched off the RAM line into it's own entity which might have been a good move, in my opinion is the only thing they have going for them is their HD truck line.
  17. This!!!... and plus one for any help that is needed. .
  18. DAMN IT!! You can beat this bullshit Jerry I know you can. Love ya man.
