Nice bike, congrats!

I was gonna say if anyone had a taser some of us should wait around for those a-holes and carry out some justice.

page says "most images are disabled for guests", so you'll probably want to re-post the images here on OR. Glws, sorry to hear about your uncle.

I rode my 1985 rebel 250 on the freeway all the time, you have to make it scream though to keep up with traffic. Rode my friend's ninja 250 and was much more comfortable since the bike isn't sitting right at redline to stay with the flow. I can't see any reason why as long as you can keep up with the minimum speed limit a small bike would be illegal on the highway. Terrifying? Maybe. But illegal, nah. 19 horsepower sounds about right if i remember correctly from my Clymer manual.
-
Oh yea I agree the 250 will be way cheaper, just helping suggest some of the 50cc bikes he was originally looking for. You can flog the shit out of the 250, and when stuff breaks there's no shortage of parts.

http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=69164 Something like these bikes are probably what he is suggesting. Not sure if those are still for sale or not, but keep an eye out on here and other boards and you should be able to find something to suit your needs.

I agree, your car looks really nice man, apologies for wrongly calling you out. However, when you post claiming to own something and then put up a picture of someone else's car, people get suspicious. That combined with your past behavior is why no one wants to be civil with you. You're going to have to deal with some bullshit for a while until people trust you/don't think you're a douche anymore. What engine does it have in it? I'm a sucker for old pontiacs, I have a 69 firebird I'm halfway through restoring right now(and by that I mean it is in pieces in the garage). I googled the lemans because I have been considering repainting my 'bird in LeMans blue.

man you must have really liked the picture the previous owner took: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.socalmuscle.com/forums/images/garage/attach/garage_vehicle-7-12460369161.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.socalmuscle.com/forums/garage.php%3Fdo%3Duser_garage_view%26id%3D49&usg=__X3p_-oKxod_fNXH2Kj1xMFID5Ao=&h=267&w=500&sz=106&hl=en&start=24&sig2=tmkoHXc4jHBEUdy6B1jgFw&zoom=1&tbnid=0jOveVPxpbuKAM:&tbnh=85&tbnw=159&ei=1ScnTqbkNsnZ0QGu5MnICg&prev=/search%3Fq%3D1971%2Bpontiac%2Blemans%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D709%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=477&page=2&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:24&tx=55&ty=28&biw=1280&bih=709

at 49cc one might think it could pass as a moped, which would require less work, but a quick check on the bmv page yielded: "The Ohio Revised Code defines a moped, or motorized bicycle, as any vehicle with two tandem wheels or one front and two rear wheels which is capable of being pedaled and is also equipped with a helper motor. The helper motor may not: have a piston displacement of more than 50 cubic centimeters; produce more than one brake horsepower; and propel the vehicle at a maximum speed greater than 20 mph on a level surface. If a vehicle exceeds any one of these criteria, it is legally a motorcycle. Be certain BEFORE you buy. Contact your local Deputy Registrar location, if you have questions." source: http://bmv.ohio.gov/moped_info.stm from that piece of information I would conclude you would need to title it and tag it as a motorcycle. Hope this helps.

Who the hell is going to buy a used helmet that doesn't fasten? Unless maybe they're going to strap it on the side of the bike with some duct tape and use it as one of the giant frame sliders I see so many helmet-less riders using these days.

WTB Sport bike, or Sport tourer... Or a naked bike?
fizzer replied to accel_is_my_drug's topic in LBTS GLWS
Since you already found your vfr nearly perfect, why not just stick with that but get one of the newer generation ones. here's one in your price range: http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/2486801501.html 2004 vfr, ~19k miles, probably could be haggled down to 4500. -
Welcome to OR! any pics on the streetfighter project?
-
I had almost zero fun on my rebel 250, but then again that's just a glorified bicycle.
-
If you need them rebalanced, PM Hoblick on here. He mounts and balances tires for a great price, so balancing only would probably be pretty affordable

+1 If you haven't washed your bike recently and these fell off, you should still be able to see an outline the exact size and shape of the weights on your rim, that has no dirt in that area. you can get a piece of double-sided tape and put them back in place. But if I were you, I'd go out and ride the bike and if you don't feel any new vibrations at any speed, I wouldn't worry too much about it. They might not even be off your bike.

have you found anyone yet? I live near OSU and MIGHT be able to come help.

What mods have you done or can be done to a CBR954RR?
fizzer replied to OhioBob's topic in Tech and Tips
Since you want a standard, a literbike, something affordable, and an inline 4, buy this bike and be done with it. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/2480119342.html 2007 Fz1, ~10k miles, $4000. -
Man that sucks, I've been having my own trouble with getting an estimate I took my fz into ohio motorcycle (honda horthwest) for an insurance estimate last monday and they estimated 2-3 days. I hadn't heard from them by Thursday so I gave them a call and the guy tells me it's done (whatever happened to calling me when it was done?). I go over so I can look at the estimate before they send it out to insurance, and I swear it's like they let a 10 year old look over the bike. When I took it to them, the guy who took in it wrote down notes on what I had to say about the condition, and these notes are on the very top of the estimate form: Steering lock mechanism cracked, Handlebars uneven, right side fairing crack. NONE of those issues show up on the estimate for repairs, the estimate is all for small scratches on various parts including the aftermarket exhaust, and also to my amazement they have written up the estimate for replacing it with the stock exhaust(not an acceptable replacement in my eyes). Make sure that when they do finally get around to coming up with estimates that they cover EVERYTHING that needs fixed. After seeing the incompetency of the people at OM, I thought about taking it to Iron Pony instead, but it sounds like they have their own fair set of troubles. What happened to people treating your bike like their own when it comes to service?

That's weird, the picture shows up if I use chrome, but not if I use firefox. Hmm. will try to fix it. fixed? Plus with a Ural I hear when you kick it sideways at 40 and fly the chair, ALL the panties drop.
