  1. The trailer I looked at was enclosed although the also sell open trailers. The roof was only about 5' high which is a plus when towing but a minus when entering. As I recall it was around $1400 but cannot find them on the website to confirm. Another plus was an "A frame" tongue, other minus it seemed to have thin plywood interior walls although I do not know what standard walls are.

  2. Another '05 R6 Raven in Cincy??? Its been a long winter, I better check under that cover in the garage. :D

    Welcome to OR

    Welcome to Cincy

    Welcome to West Chester

There are some nice on the east side and some nice roads on the west side but if you really want to have fun head to KY.

Are you working at the West Chester or Evendale facility?

  3. When I was in your shoes my first descision was if I wanted to invest in my career or my relationship. My gf (now wife for 12) at the time wanted to move also so it was a win-win. Only you can read what her luke warm response really means so figure that out first. If she has a good position that will complicate her feelings. If she is a keeper don't forget to consider her future pay raises in your overall income and not just your future promotions.

As for money you would not be out of line to ask for the following:

100% of moving expenses (get an estimate)

employer to pay for an apartment OR your mortgage for an agreed upon term

employer to cover fees associated with the sale of your home

    Good luck with your descision.

  4. With Daytona being the exception, the AMA site list times for all classes as 12am. I think the website is incorrect. Also on the AMA site it seems to indicate all Daytona races being broadcast by Speed.

The Speed website only shows two races being televised, one friday at 6pm and one on Sunday at 1:30pm. :dunno:

  5. It seems to me that more cars are running highbeams at night and not dimming for on coming traffic. Is it me, is it Cincinnati or is it a trend?

I have flashed several cars recently and they refuse to dim. Having grown up driving cars with incandescent headlights and seen the switch to halogen, then to HID and now projection beam lights I understand the differing brighness levels and the need to have them properly aimed. These people are truely running highbeams.

    Post you thoughts!

  6. I am booked for Barber (june 22/23rd, I think) with X-Act. I am driving down solo and have room if you want to go. I will most likely take off Friday and plan to leave Dayton around 9am.

I did offer up room to the OP, but first come first serve.

I'm interested. I'll have to check the date and get back to you.

  7. If it hasn't been run it doesn't matter. Moisture boils off as soon as you reach operating temp. Moisture can combine with combustion byproducts to form acids, but new oil is new oil.

I have heard this about acid forming in the oil also which is why I change my oil every spring regardless of mileage. The alternative is to start you engine and allow it to come up to temperature every two weeks or so to boil off any moisture.

I took a test ride on a new bike from a dealership on floor model. I had to schedule a time for the ride so they could "prep" the bike. The salesman said that they needed to fill it with oil and charge the battery.

  8. My buddy and I will be at barber this June and/or July....and Road Atlanta

How much room do you have?

Barber, Road America and Road Atlanta are bucket list tracks for me. I would like to ride one of them this year. As the season develops maybe the dates work out for a ride share?

  9. I feel the same way. I can't find any that are small enough for me in guys sizes. And girls suits are out of the question because I have yet to find one that offers good enough protection.

Where would the suit not fit you? If you had to get one that's long enough for you cuz you're tall and then it's too big in the chest area you can usually fix that by getting a chest and back protector- which you should wear anyways.

If what you mean by "small enough" is the limb lengths I have the same problem. I found that Fieldsheer makes suits with shorter arms and legs than other manufacturers.

  10. I have the Latigo suit. Its a good bang for the buck with lots of features (including sliders). Its good for a novice or intermediate track day rider, advance riders and racers will want to go to a higher level. I would buy it again since I am an intermediate track day rider. Check out the STG review video on you tube.

  11. State Farm does not cover gear. ( pants and jacket ) they do cover your helmet. I found that out the hard way after having all my gear cut off after my crash last summer. I tried real hard to get them to cover it but they would not. Other then that real happy with state farm and the way they handled getting my bike fixed.

    Ditto this ^^^

  12. I am thinking about going as well with STT.

I have never done Grattan and have heard and can be tricky to learn. I have been watching the videos and it looks like a fun track. How long does it take to drive up there, where do people stay, is there camping?

I think I might sign up for Novice on Sat. to take it easy and get a feel for the track. Then run I on Sun. Do they normally run the same direction or do they switch it up?

You should have gone up with me last year, it is a fun track.

    Camping, yes.

Many of the riders stay at Candlestone Hotel but you have to get in early because they will fill up. I stayed at the Baymont on the Belding side of Grand Rapids its about 20 min from the track and has a big lot with pull though parking. Close, cheap, clean and hot breakfast.

Check the STT site some are CW some are CCW. Watch out for the hump when running CCW, it scared the sh-t out of me the first lap. A-group will jump it.

Drive is about 6.5 hours from Cincy with a trailer.

Don't recommend you riding novice (but do what is comfortable for you). I rode with you at Mid-O and you are smoother than me. I started the first session at Grattan near the back of I-group to learn the track and was passing people on lap 3. Second session I started about in the top half and was fine.

PM me your schedule, we should ride share some dates.
