There is a reason court appointed therapists don't have their own practices and drive around in the same crappy car they've had since college.

Maybe he meant the ohio charters. But from the website it said ohio charters are being ran by the national organizationOk it's been changed to say temporary charter since last I looked a month ago.

Volunteers are unpaid. I learned a long time ago when I was voluntarily organizing volunteers to run the concession stands at Aero's games from 2004-2006 you take any help you can get, now it was a little different because the groups who did volunteer got a portion of sales for their cause, but really when someone said they couldn't come until a certain time you didn't turn the away. If you told everyone who couldn't come every single time they weren't allowed to volunteer at all no one would ever volunteer. I'd join if I could help out once a month but apparently they don't want help like that.

tru.dat I am also to clean cut compared to most the photos I've seen to fit into that club.

I remember reading the ohio charters were in an emergency state because of lack of members and the founding charter is running them. I'd join but with the ridiculous requirement to attend as many events as they do, it's not possible, I have 6 days a week of work, a family and no idea how much actual riding time I'll get this year. If the requirements weren't so strict I'd join. I do like they perform background checks.

I think you actually missed the point of what I said. We own a Korean car now. It has to many quirks regardless of price. I The cars pretend to be something they are not. And yes while major appliances are ASSEMBLED in Korea, that still means 99% of everything else put into the car comes from China. BTW our Korean car was actually ASSEMBLED in Alabama. But still, Korean cars have too many quirks. Let's see for example. We are on our 4th steering wheel because the "leather" keeps peeling. The exhaust pops when it's warming up and again pops when it cools, 3 dealers have said this is normal and Hyundai won't replace any parts for that complaint. Multiple tire sensor failure. Sure those are made in China, but when I worked for BMW I never watched one be replaced to due component failure, a couple due to dumb dumbs putting fix a flat in run flat tires. The valve train is extremely noisy. Paint is paper thin. And for gods sake it has a mini van solid rear axle. Really? I know we're tying to save money here, but in 2010's were using a solid rear axle. The reason I won't buy another Korean car is because they do cheap out on so much.

My grandparents love theirs. They have the v6 2012 model. They wanted the 4 butnwasnt available at the time. Wed be gettin a 4 anyway. Lets hate on the Chinese but still buy our tvs and refrigerator s from them

Don't forget the hurricane insurance

My grandparents have close to 60k on it an no problems wife won't drive a hatch back will not buy German at all, and again, I cannot justify paying 30k for a car with 60,000+ miles. I think we're going to be set on the cx-5
-
So it looks like a cx5 or an equinox
-
Just looked at that, 27,420 with gps and sunroof. I doubt wife is going to like styling though and when we test drove subaru's 2 years ago even I was unimpressed with the interior and this comes from a guy driving a ford focus. lol

I put it in the title because obviously small SUVs aren't reall SUVs but anyway. 2wd also 4wd outs it out of our price range in almost all models and it's not really necessary as roads get cleared really well around these parts in the snow. Fuel economy is not an issue as it would get driven less than 10k a year, 15 mile round trip to work, with a day care stop on the way. a compact car is too much of a pain with a baby. Stroller in the trunk leaves no room for much so I think we've ruled it down to a few models and want some input. Nothing Korean, we own a Hyundai now and for what it is its a nice car but it defiantly has its quirks but we knew that going in a 20,000 dollar car with the options of a 40,000 dollar car is going to be inferior in some aspects. Mostly likely no Toyota rav4 as the options are strange and basically have no options that match up with the trim level in our price range. No escape, wife refuses to own a ford and the escapes have been recalled plenty already. Wife's not thrilled with the crv but again the Hondas get expensive when you add options. The chevy SUVs are nice, my grandparents have an equinox and to option one out with sunroof and gps it goes just beyond our budget. The itchypussy outlander is nice but like the chevy it gets just beyond our price range with the options. Basically leaves it to two models. The jeep compass/patriot, we both like the patriot and comes about 2,500 under our budget. I've driven a few and worked on a few and the interiors of the new models are really nice. The replacement and repair when it gets older will most likely be reasonably priced than an import. The downside is the utilitarian unrefined engine than sounds like a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower. Would not consider purchasing used because most people who buy these things usually neglect service. The other option is the mazda cx5 it looks really nice, is just under budget. Refined engine fabulous styling and nice interior and an extra 5mpg, which I know I know isn't really world and as mentioned above isn't a huge concern. My fear is like the Hyundai you're getting a lot of options for $27,000 and would have the same quirks. I like the idea it will hold a better resale value and would consider purchasing used, I found an example of one 1 year old, fully loaded with 25k miles for $6,000 less than new. Which would save us 4k over the jeep. I do also worry about cost of replacement parts and cost of service and wife had a Mazda 3 in a previous life and the car would break down quite often and a couple times would be in the ship weeks at a time waiting for replacment parts. When the transmission went out at 8,000 miles it sat in the shop for 29 days because there were no transmissions in the country and it got lost in customs. Would also consider a used lexus suv but replacement parts and labor can be high, but... Any independant shop that can service Toyotas usually can fix lexus problems. The lexus would probably be the most reliable but I have a hard time justifying paying nearly 30k for a glorified rav4/highlander that's gonna have at least 60k miles. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Am I forgetting any other models?

It's a v strom? I always thought it was a v storm. Ugh blonde moment

I love the 650 parelle twin. Uses the same firing and rotation pattern as triumphs twins iirc. It has a very distinct sound. Now I do love the roar of a v twin. But even better would be a vfr adventure bike with the gear to gear v4 with the gears on the outside instead of the middle of the block. The suspension is great on the versys. I would have got the versys instead of the ninja 650 but my wife being a bigger woman and shorter woman would never have been able to get on the back. But I will tell you the ninja 650 has plenty of power for 2 bigger people. One of the reasons I went with the 650 was it has an unusually high weight rating for a small bike. But really the 650 is great. It can take 87 octane and get 45mpg while beating the crap out of it. If I use shell 91/93 I can get 52 riding conservatively and 50mpg using 87 riding conservatively. If I end up not selling it for a triumph at the end of this year I will be switching over to a versys from end and using clip ons because the versys has a much better suspension than the 650. But the versys/650 is a great design.

Ecigs, vaporizers and other tobacco alternatives
zx3vfr replied to Gixxus Christ!'s topic in Dumpster
I didn't see anyone say anything about poisoning from either substance. I simply pointed out both nicotine and coffee are know for constricting blood vessels. which can lead to stroke over time -
Reason I'm wanting to switch to a less sporty bike is, I have a new born at home and I have lack of self control. Plus in the next 5-6 years I doubt Ill be making it to southern and eastern ohio much. Mostly commute to work, southern ohio once or twice a year. Yeah a 650 isn't a ss or rr but it's plenty capable to get into lots of trouble. I know its possible to get into trouble with a bonneville but the pure sport aspect is taken out of the equation I know I won't be doing 100+mph on the freeway or 70+mph on 35mph back roads on my way to work. That's why I don't miss my vfr because I would be dead if I wouldn't have sold it.

You are correct. Nicotine constricts blood vessels, hmm sounds a lot like caffine. So long as your not puffing for 18 hours non stop a day or drinking 2+ pots of coffee a day, I think it's not gonna hurt anyone -
Lost my grandma, it'll be 10 years in December. First it was breast cancer, then it was lung cancer, then it was breast cancer again... Actually watched her die at the family christmas party in 2004. Lungs filled up with water as complications from the lung cancer.

Problem with pot is 1. It shows up for 30 days with no way to check to see if its been used just before an accident. 2. All the studies that just came out saying how high driving accidents are going up, are well not even from the 2 states that legalized it for recreation 3. All the studies use date 2012 and older. Recreational pot has only been legalized for 2 months and 20 days in 2 states 4. People are still very misinformed about it.

Anyone in the Twinsburg or Lyndhurst area have a ramp for a pickup truck?
zx3vfr replied to Ryan_c_F's topic in Daily Ride
Why not get a box truck for a few bucks more, they have pull out ramps. -
Also would consider trade for 2012+ bonneville in similar condition low miles.
-
Why? I'm getting another bike if I sell it.
-
I've walked around bike nights with them no problem. But I've also used a cable lock through the zippers and latched them on the bike and wore sneakers around too.
-
Ok no joke this time, actually going to sell it but I'll be replacing it with something less sporty. 10,xxx miles black, perfect condition. Regular oil changes and such. Extended warranty through May 2017. Comes with a Kawi tail bag. Price is $7,100 firm. Will consider trade for 2012 or newer Triumph Speedmaster in perfect condition with 10,000 or less miles.
