Any Toyota Drivers Out There Need A Keyless Entry Fob?
Helmutt replied to RVTPilot's topic in Other Stuff
Well, if you're giving it away I'd take it......but let's wait a bit just in case someone else here has an actual NEED for it first.......I have the 2 that came with my truck and both operate fine -
Well that sucks to hear.......hope she has a quick recovery Where's Redkow97 and his shiny new law degree? Castelli law is a member here......maybe there's an OR discount? http://www.castellilaw.com/'>http://www.castellilaw.com/

Any Toyota Drivers Out There Need A Keyless Entry Fob?

I believe these are programmed per vehicle, so it probably wouldn't work on other Taco's without the vehicle being reprog'd for it? I have an '08 Taco but both of my fobs work fine, but my wife's '02 Celica needs a door lock actuator if you've got one of those layin around -
Biker's that wear no gear may as well take the mirrors off their bikes too, since apparently he wasn't using his brain nor his rearviews Some folks just don't get it, but sounds like he'll definitely "get it" someday
-
Hate hearing another rider down this season........glad you and the bike aren't severly damaged -- hope the knee feels better soon and sounds like you should get some new rubber on that Nighthawk
-
Stupid asses and their lack of patience, glad you're good to go and congrats on the brief stint of party favors to help you cope I take it you were on the vt1100?
-
Californian, you are gonna hate Ohio weather
-
So does this mean you're getting a new bike soon? You plan to join right?
-
That makes more sense to me since you can't "turn off" a turbocharger like a nitrous system. Smooth & steady is definitely going to win the roadcourse portion. Street ride seemed like a simple test to ensure the bike's "can" perform day to day riding at slow paces without boil over or stalls.
-
Even short shifting isn't going to take away ALL of that abrupt power, especially on a 300-400hp bike. Imo, nitrous on ANY roadcourse would surely spell broken traction and probably broken bike/rider as well, where turbochargers can be dialed back to keep them more manageable. At any rate, I agree with everyone about the liter bike most likely winning it all - but I'd wager that it will be one damned expensive 1000cc to be equally competitive in all the straightline/hp events. Probably be "some" competition failures due to different rider's capabilities, having to adjust to a completely different platform than they're used to competing on, and/or just poor rider performance that particular day......may not be many affected, but it's definitely a factor somewhere

New site will take me a bit to catch onto, but I'm coping. Wife schools me where to find what I need when it eludes me, she's a quick learnin' lil shit.....I'll giver that My only complaint is THE NINJA EDIT FEATURE HAS LEFT THE BUILDING.....now EVERYONE will know how often I prematurely post my random fails in proofreading

heh heh heh, hey man....I'm just trying to help I've heard The Gathering, it's good too.How about The Agonist......we were supposed to play McGuffys House 'O Rock with them, but they pulled off the tour just before coming back to Ohio. A good listen there too

Ah, yes.....the good ol days.....back when we all believed our local bands were going to get signed, get rich, and tour the planet doing what we loved! Sadly, our metal scene has died off in the bars and clubs in the last decade. All ages shows draw tons of local teens, but the age 20-30 crowds aren't as abundant as when we were that age. I miss those carefree aspirations sometimes, especially now that the bands are just fun hobbies. But age and responsibilities have extinguished any dreams of being a rockstar He makes crazy drumwork appear effortless doesn't he? Sickening that it comes that naturally to him LOL, but he's been at it for 30+ years so he'd better have a clue Humble as he is, it's hard to believe he's toured the U.S. and parts of Europe ( Fear Factory tour ), does studio session work with several bands here in the states and overseas, been signed several times, and almost had the drummer position with Machine Head years ago ( just before The Burning Red album ). Cant pass up the chance to jam with him, and really want to do some studio work with just he and I eventually so I'll have some home cooked musick to keep for my personal collection. We start recording in a couple weeks, gonna try a 3-4 track demo and if it sounds good enough to continue then we'll pursue the remainder of the next full length album. You guys will definitely have copies coming once they're pressed.

Thanx man, I truly hope you dig the new material......but the new Hut isn't like the old "gateway metal band" we used to be with the rap, hardcore, and metal all twirled up in a sundae with nuts. The new stuff is straight dropkick-to-the-throat metalcore with the ever-technical drum prowess from almighty Brian Harris. It's so nice having a professional drummer, makes writing new material a plate of cake! He and Adam make our band what it is. Neil, Eric, and I are just whipped topping

Nobody mentioned LACUNA COIL? Good stuff. Arch Enemy will blow your mind if you didn't know the vocalist was female.....brutal death metal, no singing whatsoever......but if you met her, you'd never believe she could sound like that OTEP is some mean and heavy female vox work too
-
Happy you're doing these bro, gets more people exposed to what we dig. We've got similar tastes, but I'm stingy with sharing in my listening pleasures, so I fail to help promote newer/undiscovered groups like you're doing here. Another great local band to us ( Devil Wears Prada, Woe of Tyrants ) that is "happening" in the industry. First met these guys a couple years ago when our bassist's other band shared rehearsal space with them in Troy. Fun guys, heavy material, and good energy. Glad to see them progress and get some funding behind them. I think they are coming into the genre a little late to truly explode in the market with so many other bands splitting the share, but they're just as pro as any other group doing this same gig. I like their style

250hp would take some serious throttle control for a roadcourse, not to mention 300+hp Probably why they're ruling that a pro rider will be piloting the finalist's bikes. Most likely be a lap time competition for the roadcourse/streetcourse events for safety/liability sake?

Cheating via technicality Well played lil lady.....well played

The Rules --Each bike owner has the option to participate in the street ride portion, but the on-site riding professionals will ride the bikes in all other events. --Each bike must have current registration tags and insurance. --Street legality also includes functioning turn signals, headlights, brakelights and license plate. --A bike will be DQ'd for any event category it is not ready to participate in based on the daily time schedule. --DOT tires are required. Each entry has the choice of using two DOT tire models. --No weight ballast may be added to the bike. --Each bike must have at least one rearview mirror. --Wheelbase is free to work within the range of swingarm adjustability. Bolt-on extensions are allowed but must be installed prior to contest and must remain installed. Swingarm swaps are not permitted. --Any sprocket/chain setup is allowed and may be changed from event to event. --No battery swaps. --Gasoline of choice is permitted. --No bodywork swaps from event to event, but the windscreen can be changed. Taping is OK. --Critical bolts must be safety wired. This includes oil filter, oil drain plug, oil filler cap, rear axle nut, and front axle fastening system. --No wheel swaps, except for wheels of the exact same spec (i.e. switching to spare wheels with fresh tires mounted). --Ride height changes are OK. --Steering damper required. --Removal of components for weight is prohibited during the event. --All coolant systems must contain water; no glycol-based coolants. --Bike must be in same form as it was during initial tech inspection. Appears you can run extended arms or extensions and swap out gearing to help perform in all events, open fuel options will help but curious if you'd have to stick with whatever fuel you start competing with

It would definitely be quite a trial to have the same machine be competitive in drag/roadcourse. If the rules allowed suspension mods and map changes between events and maybe even rider swaps, it would be far easier for more bikes to push for a win. If it's a run what you brung in all events, then I can't see it being as competitive at the front. It would take a seriously talented/educated rider to throw a stretched bike around a twisty track trying to beat stock wheelbased versions. I didn't read all of the info in the email before deleting it, but I'm more interested now having talked about it LOL

I got an email from Brocks about this. Cool event and will help push publicity for him. I know Tim Hunt's Hooters sponsored, Brocks powered, GSXR1k won the ( Superstock? ) championship last year but haven't seen anything about him yet this season to know how he's performing or if he moved to another class. One of Brock's engineers was pushing back in early '09 to help Brock get into building more roadracing dedicated exhaust systems, but not seen anything specific other than Tim's 2012 machine using the CT series exhaust and mapping, which seemed to do really well for him. Interested if anyone here plans to compete?......:cough: MIKE :cough:

Great to see they will cover it. Now it's a bunch of hurry up and wait

Sharp ride, what's her personal review say about it? Does everything she wants it to do?
