    1) Good to hear when more ladies take interest in shooting/carrying....priority should be SAFETY COURSE 2) I wouldn't start with anything larger than .40cal, .22 is cheap and fun but .38 is plenty powerful and suits both purposes. Maybe Todd could set you up with both at a great price? 3) For home defense, all one really needs is an empty pump shotgun. You holler and rack it like you mean business, they will blow a door off its hinges to get away
  2. That FZ6R is a nice find, thanks Andy. We may have to look into those and see if lowering one is a functional option for her. We liked the 300 since its not a huge leap in power AND the lowering kit can swap right over to put the bike where her 250 is ( relatively close anyway ) but we may find that she will be ready for more ponies in another season or 2 anyway, so the 600 may be a better long term investment afterall. The new 300R is a sharp lookin ride though!
  3. Just bustin' your chops man, but a thorough cleaning does make a big difference

Awesome, now maybe AMC'll shut up about not being on Dish!
  5. Nice pic, good contrast with the fall colors backing up the green Ninja......looks like TheBrowns bike if his was clean
  6. Seat height is an issue, that and she loves the 250R but it lacks some power. The 300R is injected and offers more hp/tq but relatively the same size and ergo as the 250. Will be a good fit for her we think.
  7. Wish Jerry would join up, maybe he'd get out and ride more. We're definitely dragging him out to OhioMile or a trackday next season!

Best idea EVER. I'll take 2!
  9. Oh, I soooo need one of these on my bike!
  10. Some of the goodies that were added are the OEM solo cowl, Proton flushmount LED front turns, rear fender eliminator with LED turns, and of course her pink rim stripes Fresh chain/sprockets this year and we added a tooth to the front to help pull revs down a bit at highway speeds. Fresh air filter too. She has really babied this thing!
  11. First question, is it your bike that has the issue or your friend? The way its worded confused me. I say if the chain/sprockets conditions are questionable, just replace them. $200 for new equip is cheap when compared to a hospital bill for broken bones or lacerations, not to mention that a broken chain can frag the primary drive case and tail section of the bike if its moving fast enough. The surging issue may not be chain related, and just be coincidence? Broken teeth would let the chain jump over worn or broken teeth, sort of like Brown57's thread pics - that sprocket was past done man! Alignment issues if you'd changed the rear tire and reinstalled it poorly. Usually when the rear wheel is in a bind or out of alignment, symptoms can be the rear brake dragging constantly and/or sprockets will have side wear on the teeth and the insides of the chains link plates will show wear or scoring.
  12. Cool to see! Wish we had decent camera technology back in '86 when I was at JFK SpaceCenter and got shots of the Challenger on the launchpad with an ancient Kodak 110. Someday I'll have to scan them to share
  13. If your kickstand is down and you kick it into 1st, it will kill the engine no matter if the clutch is in or not - just a safety feature. Other than that, I'm not sure what the problem would be
  14. $3800 should draw some attention. Have you tried listing it on Wera or Nesba yet? More of a track audience there. Nice lookin ride! GLWS

  16. Holy shit......8 damn pages? In 3 days?! Yeah, nobody's "trying" or anything all innocent in here.....sure it is Bet she's feeling like she just strolled into a prison where the men haven't seen TnA in 20 freakin years!! Continue with the testicular swordfighting....
  17. Wtf were you searching that popped this up? Olive Oil Nipslips?
  18. I just swapped out a set of Roadsmarts on mine for the Q2's. Think I got about 3.5-4k'ish out of the rear. The dual compound does tolerate some highway abuse and I didnt think they hooked bad in the corners either. I plan on getting another set for daily beatings, just scuffing in the Q2's for next year.
