  1. I know that drag guys and mile guys tend to favor the race fuels since they're actually using the gains. Trackday use, like Brian says, is probably a waste of money. I'd think that you wouldn't need that little bit of extra power to help reduce laptimes that couldn't be found with a couple later braking points, a little more momentum through a few turns, or different race lines here and there. As well as the extra labor involved with draining the tank, cycling pumpgas, and proper storage of the fuel everyday you ride. Really up to you and your wallet though.

    Sag session

Hilliard isnt too far of a jaunt for me to get a decent susp setup on my tugboat. Be cool to meet some more fun folks from here too. Subscribed.
  3. Slightly warped rotors at speed "may" feel like more of a vibration, or tick, or barely noticeable at all until its moving slow enough allowing you to feel more of the drag against the pad. I dont have a lot of experience with warped rotors but do listen to smart folk on occasions, so I falsly appear like I be more smarter than I is:D
  4. Next Christmas gift now noted
  5. Never know, sometimes a little abuse goes a long way. Jack up the front wheel or the whole bike to get some sort of pointer or indicator up against the side of a rotor. Spin the wheel and you'll know right away which one is bad or possibly both. You may get lucky and find some rotor bolts have backed out causing the imbalance, but I'm doubting thats the case. Free-floating rotors or are these one piece? Sorry, not familiar with 650R's
  6. +1 for the basic riding course +1 on getting an inexpensive, small caliber bike to learn on I was self-taught on dirtbikes as a kid, so my 1st street bike was easily adapted to as a teen. I'm only on my 3rd street bike in the last 20 years, but went thru 6 dirtbikes as a kid/teen. Its best to start on something you feel you can manage. 250 sportbikes are simpler to operate in my opinion due to better handling, lower center of gravity, and superior braking over cruiser style bikes. You can always change riding position with bar risers and drop pegs to encourage comfort if you find they dont suit your knees/shoulders/back. I think Ninja 500's or GS500F's are as good to learn on as 250 class bikes, but with some extra power and fuel capacity. Check out several bikes before you commit to be sure its the right bike for you.
  7. Warped rotors, check the runout
  8. CBR9's were pick of the litter stuntbikes. I can smell burnt rubber from here. Looking at the front rotors, the blue heat treating has already been done:D Cam chain tensioner could be a coverup for idiotic buyers purchasing a lubricant-starved, high mile, hammertoe'd valvetrain. Case covers are either polished or scraped to hell, so its seen some ground time. Frames are sometimes polished for a cool look, OR to do away with scrapes and nicks from multiple downs. Seats dont look right, and fitment looks off in the pics - bent subframe or crappy salvage rebuild? All in all, it looks kind of pretty but too good to be true imo. Possibly be one to part out and make some coin?
  9. Good news for sure. I know you have the will to persevere since you've fought off addiction this long man. There are a lot of diabetics in my family. We're all big German/Austrian bred freaks with various food fetishes. 1 in 4 have it on both sides of my family. Almost seems to be my destiny at some point in life, but not yet......not yet. Good luck and keep on keepin' on
  10. Ah yes, the Del Sol thread was very epic-like. I was soooo wishing that fistfuck would've showed at my bands gig. I wanted to rip his asscrack to his neck FOR you! Whatever happened to him? Is he still banned too? Cast down with the sodomites like Ringo was?
  11. Didn't think Sam would put it to ya, he's a good feller - don't know LittleCarbs, but he was the only other person in the conversation that I read. Either way, it happens. May not even mean that mikexup is a bad dude, although it seemed a bit shady how it all went down:nono:
  12. This sucks Tim, I've been there with my last bike but had several contingency offers that were in line right behind the failure so it was still virtually painless. I know I've expressed interest in some stuff around here, but I always convey my intentions right away with how ready I and my money are. That way, the seller understands my position up front instead of last minute bailing - but like it's been said, that can/does happen sometimes. Maybe the prospective buyer's better half veto'd the purchase? Or some other drastic interference? Either way, I hope the next buyer actually buys. GLWS bro
  13. English, not everyone's strong suit I concur that the public roadways will always be polluted with dumbass drivers, its just compounded proof letting the rest of us know our "lesser percentile" are still alive and well out there. Although, todays statistics would probably reflect that number is increasing exponentially every year. Seems they enjoy the overstressed time constraints that demand their attention while simultaneously hurtling multi-ton vehicles into our paths, but how dare we fight back? They've done absolutely nothing wrong in their little world that WE are just living in! I want LAW rocket and 10mm belt-fed safety coverage installed and added to my policy please!
  14. He has 2 huge smokers on trailers, and its definitely some yummy stuff......as it should be since it is his profession hahaha. I've had some turkey breast and venison last year that he smoked. Went in to help him out during deer season for an afternoon and ate some "samples" while I was working Not sure what his marinades/rubs consist of since its HIS recipe, so he may not tell me 1.86/lb is pretty good pricing. Wonder if the Sams Club quality of meat is as good in comparison?
  15. I think Oldschool was meaning how much tracktime did you get to spend "on the bike"? Am I right brandt? I think Novice class riders typically get several 20 minute sessions with mandantory breaks taken between as well as a lunch break. What group held this trackday? Motoseries? *edit* Motoseries, saw the vid title As always Doc, nice editing/production work. I would love to get one in with you next year to be part of the sweet video action
  16. Whats for dinner?! Looks damn tasty bro, did you visit my uncle for the meat or buy it local to you?
  17. Get your new batts charged and installed? Just wondering if that was the problem....
  18. You'll shoot yer eye out kid......ho, ho, ho
  19. Helmutt

    I'd ride this!

Needs to be another 100 feet higher with loops in it yeah I'd ride that without question
  20. Nitrous kit and long arm install?
