  1. I got a Diamondback DBR series bike ( dual suspension ) back in the late 90's to work on fitness, and off-road is definitely more fun ( and harder on you ) than roadbiking imo. Rigid bikes are easier to ride on-road vs. full suspension bikes on-road since they soak up so much of your power when pedaling hard surfaces. But taking a rigid off-road will surely kill your joints, ass, back, and balls vs full suspension. Mine was about $1600 new - 27sp, dual hydraulic disc, RockShox susp fore and aft, "good" Shimano hardware, and ball bearing EVERYTHING ( even the pedal stems ) so once it's cruising it doesn't want to stop. Quality can't really be found in your local dept. stores so if you want one that will last, stop into a dealer for serious rides. On-roading is tougher on a full susp bike though, so for fitness it's almost a win/win no matter which route you want except for the tire wear. My knobby's are rolled pretty bad from high gear runs on country backroads, but I LOVE the fact that I can hit the streets to the trails and then have a bike that can tolerate off-roading extremes

    New Bike!

Especially after a Kerker 4-1 meg, stage one kit, pod filters, and 6 up on the rear - ran awesome, but a lot of shifting. If I remember right, your '81 actually had a factory headlamp on/off switch whereas they did away with that feature on '82's. Had a buddy with an '81 440LTD that could go stealthy after somehow tapping his rear lamp power into the headlamp circuit Not that a 440 "needed" to be stealthy for any particular reason

    New Bike!

I had an '82 KZ550LTD for my first street ride, after I geared it waaaay up it would still hit 100 and kill most 750's the first 500ft Of course mine was I-4 vs. your I-2 so power was much better to begin with. Nice find man! Cafe that bitch and make it unique!!
  4. I would surely go diesel in at least a 3/4 ton, or head straight to pimp status with a dually diesel and 5th wheel 30footer.....it's only money!

    Badass punch

Grandpa has a killer overhand right! Love it when the punchee whoops the puncher
  6. Sweet! Better work your grip strength for that one
  7. Big difference is obvious in the .38's but you basically wasted the 45-70 ammo. We used to have a pair of old British made, trapdoor breached 45-70 rifles that easily blew through a stacked railroad tie backstop and then would trench the hillside behind it at least 3-6 ft long. BIG rifles with serious power for sure. Still cool to see ANYTHING get blown up via gunshots, no matter how mundane:D
  8. :lol:Saw these a while back, cool idea but hilariously expensive:lol:
  9. Granny rocks! She's probably sayin' something like... "Damnit Ed! A hundred and flippin' 10?! Twist it out already! I want my dentures to blow outta my undies!!"
  10. If this is the case, we will definitely be hanging out Saturday night in the campgrounds until the fireworx are done. We be down for some laughter, cheers, and frosty beers!

    Reformatory tour

I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially the rooms where they filmed Shawshank. Jen got this shot mid afternoon in July last year, sweet photo with the sunlight coming in from above
  12. My wife ( aka Snot ) put hers on with no trouble and way better/quicker than I could've. We got the precut curved strips that you have to 3-piece on each side of each wheel. She didn't use any tools other than her finger. I tried one strip and failed miserably......takes patience to a degree in which I lack:D
  13. What's the verdict? Wrong bearings?
  14. Lots of FZ folk to converse with around here
  15. :welcome: and good to have an active bike rights activist here!
  16. I think Bugatti's are hideous, but I would definitely take a free one AND drive it......all the way to the bank to trade on a home I've always been a TA fan myself, had a 90 GTA with T's and it was a fun car but I just couldnt keep back tires or rear swaybar joints together long
  17. Bring what Snot and I ordered please, we will see you there
  18. Damn! He's like a one manned compilation cd commercial - impressive foot switching and quick detunes. He didnt miss a lick through it all either:bow:
  19. Nevermind, found my answer in the other thread...
  20. Wife and I have the Delux tix that include pitpasses ( except during races ) and the website states you must have the delux tix to get a camping pass, my question is can we still get into the campgrounds without buying an actual camping pass? Would like to hang with OR folks but we arent camping, got a hotel room reservation to indulge nightly a/c, showers, pool, and free breakfasts
  21. Would love to, but it's not possible this week. Too much shit going on everyday that I'm lucky to get sleep into my schedule right now I need to quit being an adult for a couple weeks so I can have fun for a change!
  22. Yes, grape does HVAC - shoot him a pm. Believe he lives around Fairborn somewhere?
