  1. I typically got about 1/2" on the rear but closer to an inch on the front simply because I dont trust public road surfaces as much as I would a clean, prepped track surface.
  2. I know, right? Its semi-cumbersome in the tight turns but against a Busa, not really a problem:D. Against most smaller caliber bikes I just unload it, power out as early as possible, and by mid-straight I'm back on your six:lol:
  3. I feel boating regulations should apply to road traffic laws where the smaller craft has the right of way. But it still wouldn't make any difference when jackhole drivers dont take the time to assure the next lane is clear. Secondly, I always pass adjacent vehicles as speedily as I "legally" can to prevent them from swerving into me; especially BIG trucks ( class 8 and the like ). Ever seen a tire blow on a semi or its trailer? Shit is catastrophic when a car is next to it, much less a bike. Another reason I ride very defensively - its a whole world full of idiots driving in it vs me and a bike, damn right I'll take steps to keep clear of stupidity.....speeding is illegal if/when caught, but at least I will safely ride away from getting stopped instead of ending up a greasy spot on the door of a dumbass because I refused to speed past to avoid their assholish lack of driving skills. Just a circumstancial scenario Scruit was in - sometimes our actions/reactions are the perfect idea, other times not so much. But at least nobody was hurt in the making of this film
  4. Yup, I gotta work all day Sunday....FML.....cant ride Saturday either, gotta a wedding at 1230pm and plan on drinking some at the reception to celebrate, meaning afterwards isnt happening either. Gonna be rough enough getting time to scrub the chain and put the wheels back on the bike, got a flat tire Memorial Day and it took Chapparal a damn week to get my new ones to me just had it mounted yesterday but have shit going everyday other than Saturday night.....so I may risk assembly with a half-drunken buzz on!
  5. Damn! Think I've been called out.......no need for NOS, the only drag racing I do is on twisty roads But I'll take that bet
  6. I follow them all personally. DSB, SBK, WSS, WSBK, Moto2, MotoGP, even the young'ns in KTM125 - I've found good racing in all groups, I just love the competition when its close racing. AMA has had some good racing for years - and albeit more limited platforms, its all about the rider skill imo moreso than which teams can have their cake and eat it too with the best support AND the best riders. I dont think Hayes will have "it" for too long with both Herrin AND Young steaming forward like they are but thats always the fun part for us spectators! Young needs a bit more horsies out of that Zuki to catch Hayes' cornering perfection and the R1's power. I think if EBR could get a firm grip on their brake heat issues, they would have that little bit more back that they are lacking to pull podiums - but its R&D work for a while longer on those bikes. A second radial rotor and caliper could make huge differences. The additional weight wouldnt hurt them much either since the front ends are so light as it is, but unless its "production" they wont be allowed to run a dual brake setup.
  7. :welcome: I like to hunt Busa when they're in season:D
  8. Girls want to grow up too fast. Make her wait until she's 15 or older for something like that. Most likely, there are friends of hers that have them, or theres a boy driving her decision. Either way, I'd say tough shit for a bit
  9. I plan to mount a pair of car horns like yours Scruit, just much more pronounced than the beepers these bikes are built with. My bike looks mean, sounds mean, and is mean for that matter.......until you hit the horn button and those big swingin' buffalo nuts shrivel up into raisins:nono:
  10. What?! No AMA this wkend?! I really enjoy watching Herrin push to hang with Hayes more and more, he's taken to the Superbike very well and in no time at all. Kid is good for sure. Just like watching Spies setting sights on Mladin all over again
  11. Magley could always move the party to the MidO campgrounds:D
  12. Most days I play it safe in a speedo, diving fins, pointy partyhat, and sparkly "Elton" shades. But those times I want to try and cheat death.....I wont wear the partyhat:eek:
  13. These are good ideas, gotta love technology - but I still vote for carbs C4 idea. Easier to find the thief when theres part of an extremity and blood trail left for you to follow...
  14. I agree too, time spent with your Dad is a great thing and time spent productively together is even greater. Let him use your XD and you use the LCP, once you both are comfy and more familiar with the safety aspects and all around weapon handling THEN give him your XD - that way he's happy, and you didnt spend money you dont have. Save up and buy yourself another later
  15. Thanx man, seen the stripped compressor units on another forum and looked like quite the space saver. Wired our bikes for Tenders too, so looks like a good idea to mod in. Want a new Connie someday so if I dont manage it on my ZX, it will surely go on the tourer
  16. Nice toolkit - be a good idea for my ride, but have to relocate some elec components under there to expand my storage I dont have any tail/tank bags, but I would love an onboard compressor too for those country road flat tires like I had Memorial Day
  17. He's harmless, why gash-ache over it? ^^I feel the same way - easy enough agreeing to disagree with anyone that goes against your grain. But he doesn't bother me in the least and seemed pretty friendly the short time I'd met him. I hope you at least turned them inside out, more than a couple days in 'em and mine would be garbage bound! Never too early or too late for any breakfast foods - I could eat breakfast 3 meals a day:D
  18. .welcome: Does your couch fly too?!?!
  19. and you'll find that Isaacs Papa is quite the commodean here
  20. Helmutt

    new guy

I work in Huber, hope to see ya out this season
  21. These guys are both stellar musicians and make it look so easy. I had the opportunity to chat with Travis via email years ago about the ( hopeful ) possibility of joining Threat Signal when they needed rhythm guitar......I never would have made the cut after discovering how truly talented the band really was - I wish I had skills like these:metal: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=NKIvf-I3sKU
  22. Nah, I dont put people on ignore - I'd rather process their input and make the choice myself each time
