Oh, and get the right side of that subframe fixed up. Looks like it took quite a dinger to the lower leg just behind where it bolts to the mainframe

Congrats Doc. I hear tale of Stroms being awesome do-all machinery. Cant blame you in moving on from the big Ninja. Hypersports can be daunting, and ever taunting you to roll right past 150 with ease, and still have a couple gears left. End of 4th gear is about 165 on mine. Stupid fast for a street bike. And they're really not much faster than a 1000cc i4 until you break 120, then they just walk away from most anything else. Just becoming overkill for what I do, so I plan to sell mine in 3-4 months and move onto something that doesn't fight my sensabilities so much. Looking forward to your opinion jumping from big sport to a medium weight adventure bike.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse Gump. I was lucky on I-75 commuting home one day, years ago. Left lane, maybe 75mph, truck about 5 or 6 lengths ahead of me kicked up a 2 sqft chunk of plywood. It went straight up in the air, came down and struck my helmet's visor.....that's it. I barely saw it coming before it hit my head. I didn't flinch, didn't swerve, just a bit shocked by the impact and counted my blessings afterwards. Of anything it could've struck that day, it hit the cheapest piece of gear I was wearing. $30 to replace the shield.

Bell, as far as I know, are the only ones that will have you slip on a head piece so they can take a scan of your entire head down to your shoulder line. My wife had this done at MotoGP Indy a couple seasons ago because she has such trouble finding a helmet to fit her properly - this would ensure a helmet could be made to fit her exact measurements. These are a pricey options at around $900, but the fitment is completely guaranteed.

GSXR and ZX6R rear shocks can be swapped in with ease. Believe Ohlins and Elka make pricier aftermarket alternatives, but the popular upfit are the 600 OEM swaps - which can be valved and sprung for even more improvement. Forks, on the other hand, need some crafty work or aftermarket replacements

Wish more Bdub's would grab hold of this idea. Eat up some zesty bird arms for me man

Admirable idea. I think a lot of other breweries could take note of this companies supportive tactics

Hoping recovery is going well, Travis. Glad it wasn't a worse outcome. Chime in and let us know how you're doing

Hell, I've done the killswitch gag to myself years ago. Gotta be mindful of your thumb when you hamfist through some gears

We strap the majority of the bike's weight at the rear pegs, which cinches the front into the wheel chock nice and tight -- that way the canyon dancers are only needed to keep the front down a bit and from swaying much. Sure it takes longer to load/unload, but the bikes are damage free when we arrive. This is the best method I've found for our sportbikes. I've a fear of blowing fork seals, and bikes swaying around.

Sshhhhh! That's next years upgrade that'll cost twice as much. ( ie Microsoft catless patch )

Wife and I cant make it Sunday. Not sure that anyone will be going from western Ohio now, so I dont believe the Hamilton Rd Shell station meet point will happen. Anyone planning to wait there, may as well head straight to New Concord

Spitting rain a couple of times, but nothing to interfere with the road conditions. It was cold at speed though. Sun popped out a few times, but a lot of heavy cloud cover most of the time. There were some mildly damp spots through some canopied sections of Rt29 north of Urbana on our way home, but dry lines from traffic still gave us some good cornering. The cancellation was a disguised blessing, we found out we were under dressed for the temps and after 30 minutes of windchill, started to get uncomfortably chilly. Everyone ride safe tomorrow, and hoping the conditions dont change again unless it's for the better.

Want me to call your boss with a "family emergency" real quick like? You could still make the ride

We'll leave from CompAcc about 9am, which puts us to Eastland minimart meet spot about 10am. Hopefully everyone sees the new times

Stolen Kart Track Bikes within last 24 hours CRF150R and XR100
Helmutt replied to turnone's topic in Daily Ride
Thieves are shitty individuals. But those were some extra shitty crooks for stealing what could've belonged to a couple kids. Hopefully the bike's are recovered undamaged, and the perps are found dead from nailgun wounds from their toes to their nuts -
Derek's giving us the go for launch. Wife and I will be at CompAcc about 730am. See you folks there

I'm not racing Jim on those backroads, but I'd enjoy a trackday with him just to see how well he tosses that half ton scoot around. And I'm not bashing Jim in a violent manner, by any means, just some stern ribbing back at him. We aren't fair weather riders all the time, but the wife and I have ridden in enough rain this year. Caught in it several times, including 2 long rides where we got soaked for several hours. It doesn't seem to be too bad of a forecast, so it's hopefully going to stay on for Saturday. Looking forward to it

I dont mind the rain riding home nearly as much as during the ride itself. Slabbing sucks no matter the conditions. And Tonik, that rocket shields canopy is the most hideous thing I've ever seen an investment in I'll hold out for a sport tourer before I'd mount a free one of those
