  1. I happen to have a very nice Matco Tools 3/8 drive micrometer torque wrench for sale. Does newton meters from 6 to 40 and inch pounds from 50 to 250. Matco Tools number TRB250 (look it up on their website ) Perfect condition and only about a year and a half old. Hardly ever used. I have too many torque wrenches. Lists for 269.99 I'm asking 100$. If anyones interested shoot me a PM, pickup only. I don't want to ship it. I am a mechanic on a lucritive auto manufacturer so this isn't junk. Thanks
  2. 1--I'm pretty sure my clutch is fine but on average how long does a wet clutch normally last ( for the average bike ) I understand every bike is different as to how its driven. And is there any early signs a clutch may need replaced? 2-- I need tires soon. This will be my first set of NEW tires. I assume they are very slick to start with. Aside from doing a quick burnout, how to you scuff up the sides without eating a guard rail in a turn? I assume you go slow for a while. 3--If I was to build a bike from my own creation would I be able to ride it legally? No vin numbers or titles etc..? 4--how long did you have your first bike before you got another one? 5--is there a way to change how much force it takes to squeeze a clutch lever? Cable driven. 6--I ride a sport bike so my carrying space is very limited, but if you keep an emergency kit in the bike what's it composed of. Or if no kit then what do you normally carry. ( no backpack ) I realize these questions are kind of all over the place but I think this is better than separate threads. Thanks ahead of time
  3. Drain out all the antifreeze and fill it with a 50/50 mix of concrete powder and warm water. Let it sit for a few hours and BAM! No more leaks! Ever!
  4. Ah yes, natural selection in action You know the worst part? There was a girls voice in the video which means some chick was stupid enough to want to be around him.
  5. I don't disagree that most people think OTHER people are terrible drivers even if they can't drive properly themselves but i believe (hope) that anyone who rides SHOULD be a better cage driver because of it.
  6. Cinci rider here and welcome to OR
  7. welcome to OR whereabouts in CIncinnati are you?
  8. About a week ago I was watching Fox19 news ( cincinnati ) and was astounded to watch a story about cincinnati area drivers. Turns out that Fox19 did a study and found that if tested today 1 in 5 cincy area drivers couldn't pass the drivers exam! I wanted to link the story same day but I forgot about it and now have trouble finding it. Mabe someone can locate it. I feel that anyone who rides around cincy (and anywhere else for that matter) should atleast be aware and hopefully look up the story instead of me droning about about being safe out there. This doesn't surprise me too much but to actually see proof is scary. Another reason to wear gear and stay alert.
  9. Well the deed is done. The ride to work was amazing. Temp like 60 degrees, no cars. Perfect. Ride home was hot ( 85 ) and lots of traffic but I took backroads. The only bad part was I found that they recently ( like the day before ) paved a higher speed curvy road that I took home. It felt like I was riding on ice and actually felt the bike sliding around which scarred me a lil but in whole the experience was decent and ill be commuting to/from work whenever possible on the bike. Thanks for the tips and support
  10. It seems everytime I see something totally unsafe, stupid, and rediculous its always a gsxr. Why is that? Is there some cosmic force that draws absolute morons to this bike? They seem like pretty cool bikes but I guess I'm just not mentally retarded enough to buy one.
  11. Welcome! as long as you dont mind a sport bike rider, ill ride with you :-) i have no issues riding with any other styles of bikes and yes i wave at EVERYONE Whereabouts in Cincinnati are you?
  12. Good stuff. The morning ride shouldn't be bad but the ride home is what I'm nervous about. That's when everyone is in a rush to get home and drives like tards. I've had the bike for a while now and feel pretty good riding country roads but its time to step it up a notch. I'm probably freaking out for nothing but I hope you guys understand. I feel that this is a big step for me to start riding everywhere and not just for enjoyment.
  13. Well its about time I put my big boy pants on and ride to work. I do ride but totally avoid riding to work cause its quite a haul and near work is super congested with cagers and mall traffic and none of them can drive. Ill be honest and say that I'm somewhat nervous. One of the reasons I got the bike was to have fun and save gas so I've been wanting to ride in to work for a while. Any advise on getting rid of the nervousness? Or any other advise to keep the cage danger to a minimum? Thanks
  14. I'm totally sick of this shitty weather. I live in Cincinnati and I've never seen this much rain before. I don't even bother to check the weather anymore, I just figure its gonna rain and it does. I think were like over a foot of rain above average this month alone! Last couple days now its began to severe storm and tornado watches/warnings everyday. I'm so frusterated. Thinking about selling my house and moving to the Amazon. Probably won't rain as much there.

    Welcome to Ohio riders!
  16. UPDATE After 4 tries at getting a walk-in spot I finally got a seat and passed the class. There was 3 open spots and 3 walk-ins so it worked out perfectly. I think people didn't show because of the temperature. Damn it was hot in that parking lot for like 6 hours both days but I was willing to do what others didn't want to and suffer in the heat. So I guess with patience you can walk in. If your doing it when its hot be sure and stay hydrated, I started to get dizzy on day 1 near the end. I couldn't pass up the fact that Ohio is cheapest in the nation for msf and the insurance discounts. -I felt the class was definately geared twards the totally inexperienced but the instructors recognise people that have ridden before and offer tips one-on-one which was awesome. I learned my wrist position is too high and unconciously I cover the fron brake too often. Its nice to have someone critiquing your riding and telling you if you have any issues you need to work on. The bikes SUCK though. I got stuck with a tw200 dual sport that hurt my ass and man region but I now understand what evryones been talking about and I too recommend the class.
  17. Its not that AGM batteries don't need charged, its the fact that they are better at deep cycling and are not damaged ( sulfated ) by draining them. Actually AGM batteries do need charged manually from time to time but its important to use a trickle charger and not charge them too fast which will damage them. AGM batteries are usually heavier than standard batteries and have about 2 times the standard life of a normal battery. Also for some reason its easier to pull cold cranking amps out of them, they usually have a monster rating. I work for a luxury car manufacturer and we are starting to put AGM into more and more of our veh ciles because they are power hungry pigs.
  18. I think location has a lot to do with it... I think god is too busy with people that actually might go to heaven
  19. I have signed up for the course but its in september. I live in Warren County and my county doesn't offer it. I have tried 3 times now both in Milford and Butler counties and so far have not been able to walk in as a standby. I have looked into the course at motorcycle dealerships but if you don't buy your bike from them they want like 300 bucks! No thanks. I will try a few more times to walk into the course near me but so far no luck. I hear everyone here saying its very likely to get a spot but I haven't had that experience. I figured id share. I'm gonna try a few more times and ill update if I do get in but atleast around here its difficult to get a walk in spot according to the instructors too. They say its pretty random but I won't be playing the ohio lottery any time soon. Thoughts?

    I am in love

That's cool man, I think id like it better if the exhaust was curved higher and exited in more of an undertail style. The more I look at it, the more it grows on me, looks kinda like mad max meets maximum overdrive meets the duel.
  21. Not sure what your going for but how's about Triumph TT600, Triumph Daytona 675, Ducatti 750 SuperSport Just some of MY favorites

    I am in love

I just don't see the alure. To each his own and I'm all for doing whatever makes you happy. TO ME the bike looks dated and the exhaust looks like an afterthought. Don't get me wrong I respect all bikes, please explain why this bike is so sexy cause I just don't see it. Please understand that I'm not trying to be rude
