  3. bwhahahaah That had to fuckin suck.

Also, I'm glad we got some realistic people in here with good dog experience to help with the process. All too often people don't take pets seriously enough. Props to the OP for asking for advice, etc, as well.

yeah i figure its the smart way to do this.

If you are deadset on getting a dog, I would highly advise you take it to National K9 for a eval and training. Don't be like 99% of the rest of amercian dog owners, let the dog do what it wants, when it wants, then when it's 3yrs old show up to a training saying "fix my dog." You don't need to "fix" anything if it's all adressed from the first moment.

"ohhh silly sparky. I can't open the door without him bolting out. Ha ha, he is so dumb and silly." Yeah, its funny until your dog does it then gets nailed by a car. And who's fault is that? The owners. I was at the OSU vetinary clinic once when this girl walked in crying and holding a lifeless schnauzer. Yup, dog ran out in the road and got hit. And whos fault is that? Not the dogs...not the driver's...yup, you guessed it, the OWNER'S!

My point is, whenever you take an animal and subject it to living in a "human world", it's your responsibility to do what's best for that animal just as you would a kid.

Just throwing that out there. Don't be that owner where people dread coming over your house because your dog acts like a retard.

where is that at? im looking into them now and trying to find a good place to get a siberian husky.

  4. Agreed.

I don't necessarily think that a Husky is a great dog for an inexperienced owner. They do require consistent training and significant amounts of exercise, otherwise they can get very destructive. Christian already mentioned that they were bred for col environments, and that's another thing people seem to forget about.

Is there any particular reason you are set on a Husky puppy? If it's for the looks, don't do it. There are tons of dogs sitting in shelters who, often equally pretty, really need a home like you seem to be able to provide in the future. You can almost always find the breed you're looking for, if you're being picky, from a shelter.

biggest reason i am wanting a Siberian husky is because when i was 16 -18 i did all the grounds maintenance at my dad's boss's house and his rental properties. He had 2 Siberian huskies that were amazing to be around. would sit and watch as i mowed the yard. when pulling weds ect they would help by digging them up lol. all around would both just stay by my side. unless there was a tennis ball around. then they would go ape shit over it. also would ride with me to gas station to get gas for the mower's ect. i spent more time with them 2 dogs in the summer then i think i did my family lol. i personally just had a great experience with them when i was a little younger and now that ive moved out of my parents house last year and im able to get a house id like to all around have a companion like that again. which i know will be alot of work but i think well worth it in the end. and for training ive been told by a few professional training is recommended at a young age for them? or is it best for the owner of the pup to do the training?

side note: do any of your huskys like water? swimming ect?

  5. ive been looking into getting a husky puppy here in about 2 months after we move into a house with a yard. i dont think it would be fair to a dog to have him/her in an apartment. does anyone here have a Husky? ive been told there very temperamental in general around little kids and other animals? this true or just so much depend on the puppy its self?
  6. I believe Columbus, but whoever Dick Masheter Ford is contracted with...

And if you're asking because of the grey spots in the one picture, those were my dog's muddy footprints :)

nope was just wondering. i deal'ed with all of the fick masheter trucks when i worked at the line-x in columbus.. i sprayed that truck then.

good luck with the sale. line-x isnt cheap. well worth it though.

  7. Working on cars in Garage - Yes - There is only 120 Electric though....

    2 Cats - No problem

Dog - No problem - The Community Rules state all pets must be on a leash and attended to while outside (ie - no tethering, however - MANY break this rule - YMMV)

Having two place for a Month overlap makes moving ez pz ;)

    KillJoy

being where its at how are the neighbor's?

  8. working on cars in garage allowed? and bout the pets. i have 2 cats and i want to get a dog ( Alaskan husky puppy ) after were out of an apartment and into a home. would that be ok?

our lease is up in September where were at now.

  9. i need a oil pan for a dodge durango with the 5.9

also could use a set of tires. i put a bar through the side on the front tire tonight with the wheel lift. 17" tires has 275/55/17 on it now.

and i anyone by chance has a set of shorty headers for a 5.9 i could use them as well.

  10. Nice, I just picked up a99 durango with the 5.9 but its not an R/T. I think you have different gears in yours but I'm not sirree if the horsepower numbers are different. They are nice trucks, good for long cruises.

just be a few. nothing major.

well heres the problem. did this idling in the shop lol

    http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t302/88Mustang302/brokenblock.jpg

  11. finally got started on pulling the motor at 1 am. only worked on it for about 2 hours but made good progress with it.

still got to pull the starter off, bell housing bolts, tq converter bolts, power steering lines, fuel lines, motor mounts, manifolds, and motor mounts ect

and the new motor, still have to tear it down and do new oil pump, rear main ect. and inspect the bearings while im at it.

  12. EDIT: i put this in the wrong section. could a mod please move it?

white faces with the indiglow gauges. ( gauge face a greenish blue at night ) i dont remember the exact miles pretty sure its 128,xxx and some change. works as it should. had it in my grand Cherokee before i sold it. will work in 99-04 grand cherokee, with the 4.0 or the 4.7.

your welcome to plug it in to make sure it will work in your's very bright at night.

already has the seat belt section covered up so the light would'nt be on all the time 99-01 thing. this gauge cluster was introduced in the for 02-04

only pictures of it i have when it was in my jeep. showing it works

call or text 614-832-9977 i can send a picture via text.

i have no need or use for it. just taking up space. 50 bucks is what id like. i paid 100 for it.

  13. You should mention what you do, how much you need to make, etc.

11 an hour would be nice at least. make 12.55 right now.

right now i work in the paint department there, but previous jobs ive been shop manger of line-x spray on bed liner's in lancaster and columbus. delt with dealerships on a daily bases, sub contractors ect. business with battel on there military vehicles for protective purposes, protective coatings, spray foam insulation, flooring ( aspart-x ) expoy based materials, polyureas ect. installation of car and truck accessories. can do alot in the auto world but dont have any ase cert's. experiences rebuilding graco pump's. lots of experience with the graco machines.

If you want to work on hvac maybe you should consider looking for an administrative position in a local insulation/hvac company's office? CSCC should be able to get you where you need to be in 9-12 months. Also, going green is becoming quite the buzz around here as the major energy providers are starting to take it seriously. Consider becoming BPI certified.

    Good luck

i have been looking into that and alot of them either way are wanting you to have a degree in it.

Idk that what he does really matters as it seems he wants something different so long as the job makes it so he can go to school for what he wants to do.

correct. but something i would enjoy would be a plus lol.

  14. I work at Honda right now. Pay is decent but I'm losin my mind while I'm there. Time drags by. Tired of the hours at this point. 4:30-1am. I've worked 1st shift ever since graduation and after 4 months of 2nd I know it's not for me. I'd like something local. Anyone have any ideas? I want to go back to school for hvac and he classes would be night classes. Need a job that will be willing to work with me somewhat. Classes start at 6 pm so long as I could leave in enough time to make it downtown would be great. Willing to take a pay cut. But would need at least 11+ to keep my bills covered. But the more the better.
  15. what are your plans for the truck? that 5.9 is pretty weak in stock form..... drop it off somwhere and have them send you a 408.

If I for some reason ending up keeping it I'd just put a. Vortech on it. 408's at best get 8 mpg. Vortech kit would be half the cost and yield more power IMO. And still be able to be daily driven. Plan is to get it fixed up and trade it off for a mustang.

  16. i need a 5.9 motor for my durango r/t. i pulled the valve covers today to find a half inch thick layer of sludge. push rods completely cloged. whoever had this did not take care of the motor one bit. needs to be a long block. dont want to deal with getting these heads cleaned up.
