    are you a o ring short or something? as ive said IM NOT WANTING TO SPEND 5,000 ON A BIKE NOR DO I HAVE 5K TO BLOW ON A BIKE. I HAVE 3,500

    ive found a mint 03 sv650 and went and looked at it today. loved it. hopefully he still has it come saturday since the banks are closed today and that is the only time ill be able to get down there.

    Not looking to spend that much bud. Nice bike but I have 3500 to play with right now and im lookin g to spend 3k. But will spend a little more for the right bike. Im 200lbs that being said would the sv not be sutied for me? I've found an r6 I like but the price I feel is to high and he wont budge. 99 r6 with 17k and he wants 3k. Been repainted and all new plastics and fork which makes me leary. Seems as if it was laid down pretty decent. Missed out on a deal for a 03 r6 for 2500 with 8500 miles on it. I should of just called of work and picked it up, was to late on it by the time I got off work. :( anyone knows of a bike for sale im open for suggestion in my price range. Went and got my endourcment today so im wanting to get on a bike soon lol.

    Lol, every single one has pretty much identical ergos. Sit on an SV. They're a little longer, so it won't be the same as the others.

    Also, there's no such thing as "saving on gas" with a sportbike. The money saved goes towards maintenance, tires, or insurance. It's not cheaper, trust me.

    Oh and....V-twins are God's gift to the motorcycling world. :bow:

    I drive 80 miles a day just for work and get 15-20 anything would be better then that lol. Plus im wanting a toy. Wanted another mustang but after checking insurance for it being in my name for 300 a month vs a bike of 56 a month. Checked with the vin of my buddies gsxr 600.

    So in my search for a bike im coming up empty handed on a bike. I have been looking for a r6 but after doing some reading on the sv650's I am interested in hearing more about them as whatever bike I end up with be more for a driver to work to save on gas. (80 miles a day to and from work is killing me in my jeep ) and as a fun toy on the weekend. I was hoping someine on here owns one and can tell me some more about them, and possible where would be the best place to find one for a decent price.

    My pal with the '01 zx6 is almost ready to sell if you're interested ( but it's a carbed bike and per our PM conversation, you'd mentioned injected only )

    My bad on the price as he wants $2800 for it but the bike's bone stock and unmolested at 5k miles. He's going to get me pics this week and wants me to look it over really well so it'll be ready to ride for the buyer......I'll PM you once he's definitely ready to let go of it unless you're set on an R6??

    im conforatble on the r6 havnt sat on a zx6 to see how it feels yet. he in piqua as well? if so its only like a little over an hour drive so i can come check it out.

    Thanks all the welcomes. I went to the cycle shop yesterday and looked at a few different 600's. I like the gsxr alot but after sitting on a r6 im pretty sold on finding an r6 now. Im not that tall and seating postion on the gsxr was really straining my back. R6 had a more up right position and was more comfortable.

    DAMN, sorry to hear about your car.......that flippin' sux!!

    Yeah, it was a bit freakish looking outside yesterday evening.......glad it missed us but some funnels were sighted.......makes me wish I had an underground compound to store my bike days like that instead of worrying about the garage flying away;)

    If you're still having trouble finding a ride, one of my bandmates may be selling his '01 ZX6 for around $2500 - and it's only got 5 or 6k miles on it. I'll get details later this week......he's been on the fence about selling for months now, so I'll corner him about it and see.

    Well it was the girl freinds car to make it even better. Jeep was home and safe. Did a tune up on her car for it since i was time for it and some brakes and took it for a drive. Truck pulling a trailer came left of center on 42 and took the trailer down the fender and door. Let me know about the zx6. Thanks.

    im looking to spend 2500-3500. looking for something i can by and ride. buddy of mine knows a guy that all he does is buy and sell bikes and he has a 2000 R6 with 21k on it for 2,500. just 2,500 seems cheap for the miles or is that around the ball park of what they go for?

    I see a few screen names one here from some local fourmsim on from columbus. Im looking for a 600 right now. Not having to much luck. Seems like the bikes are selling faster then im able to get there to take a look at them. So if anyone can point me in the right direction id appericate it. Looking for a gsxr or R6. But open to others as well. Im more comfotable on a gsxr. But im partial. On one I've ever road lol.

    Thanks for the input guys. I suppose I was looking at this from the wrong direction. It is probably more worth my while if I lock on interested buyers prior to actually buying vehicles. That way, I'm only buying exactly what their looking for.

     

    Also, as Doc stated, this was more an issue with older vehicles. How much of a restoration market is there, and would it allow me to sell '60s and '70s era cars, with little to no rust, for a profit?

     

    buddy of mine's dad does this with 60's and 70's car. last one he did he picked up a charger for 8k out of calif. perfect car body wise. needed paint. ( faded ) paid 1500 to have it shipped to ohio. sold it for 14,000 2 weeks later. theres profit to be made. just dont dont things people wont want. old rust free muscle cars are always an easy sale. the extra money spent up front for even a clean roller thats rust free vs a clapped out pos that needs quarters, floor, cowl ect. is well with it to someone that is wanting to build. saves them money and time in the long run. is say go for. just bring back what is an easy sell for the market in the surrounding area that way your not sitting on it and having it cost you money.

     

    and honestly one thing i have noticed is pick up's sell for alot more then there worth in the columbus area vs driving even 4 hours away for the same truck.

    97 Audi A4. its pearl white and i need to get some paint mixed due to a drunk driver taking out the driver side. i know pearl is a bitch but is there anyway to get it close to matching without painting the whole car? not going for a show car here i just want it all oner color so if its not perfect i wont care. driver side finder both doors and 1/4 need done. so i need enough paint to do that and i want enough left over in case i make a mistake. for the body shop people on here who do you guys go through for paint?

    Throwing codes p1500 which is fuel pump relay and p1237 p1238 p1239 p1240 which are injector 1, 2, 3, 4 closed or open? forget which one it said. now if the fuel pump relay was bad would that cause it to throw them codes? if so where can i get a relay without going to Audi? if not what else should i check. runs like shit when it throws these. also car running after codes clear. put the running lights on and instaly throws all 5 codes again? what the helllllll would casue this? short somewhere? onlything not stock about wiring is the headunit that i hate. that a place to start checking to see how who i got the car from has it wired?

     

    help would be greatly appercated. love this car. but im clueless on the audi's so far. lol
