Do you like the Spidi STR-3 Vent gloves, but need something more colorful than the black version we featured in the original post? They are also available in the Red/Black pictured below.

There are plenty of riding suits out there that are called “entry level,” but with prices on leather gear constantly climbing, it is becoming harder to find suits that have actual entry level price tags. That is where the Speed & Strength Triple Crown comes in. It is designed for those that may want to get started at the track, or just want the extra protection of a full suit for the road, but don’t have a MotoGP racer’s budget. The Speed & Strength Triple Crown suit is made from premium cowhide that varies in thickness from 1.0mm to 1.2mm. This makes it about .2mm thinner than the Twist of Fate 2.0, which is the next model up, but it is perfect for this type of suit. It makes the entire package lighter and more flexible without giving up too much in terms of abrasion resistance. This leather outer layer is held together with Speed & Strength’s High Impact Safety Seams, or H.I.S.S. for short. While the outer leather shell provides the first line of defense during a slide, there is also a full array of C.E. certified Vault armor that was put in place underneath in order to provide impact protection for sensitive areas like the shoulders, knees, elbows and back. Vault armor is quite flexible and is capable of absorbing a great deal of impact energy in the event that it is needed. The Speed & Strength Triple Crown’s leather outer layer is already quite flexible, but it is not the only reason that this suit is as comfortable as it is. Schoeller Keprotec stretch material is found in the armpits, crotch and running down all four limbs to the cuffs. If you are unfamiliar, Schoeller Keprotec is a lightweight, soft stretch material that is highly abrasion resistant thanks to the Kevlar that goes into producing it. In addition to the high level of mobility, the Triple Crown is also a well ventilated suit. Cooling is provided by the vented back hump and a variety of strategically placed perforations throughout the chest, arms, legs, and back. Another standout comfort feature is essentially the entire design of the ankle cuffs. The bottom portion that slips into the boot not only uses the Schoeller Keprotec mentioned previously, but also a soft 3D mesh. This means that the suit actually helps your boots keep your feet cool. Whether you’re looking to get started at the track, want more protection for the street, or just want a suit that will fit into your budget, we recommend taking a good look at the sub-$600 Speed & Strength Triple Crown. It is not only priced well and well armored, but is also more comfortable than many suits that cost substantially more. You can get more information on our website, or by calling Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext. 809. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Speed & Strength Triple Crown Suit is available in Black (shown), White, Blue and Red. Accordion leather stretch panels are found around the shoulders, elbows, waist, and knees. Schoeller Keprotec is a very durable and abrasion resistant stretch material that is also lightweight and breathable. It is found on at the armpits/inner arms, as well as the crotch and inner thigh. The ankle is wrapped in light and airy mesh and the flexible Schoeller Keprotec we mentioned previously. This makes for a very comfortable fit under your boots and helps keep your feet cooler. Perforated leather throughout the suit lets fresh air in.

AGV GP-Tech Rossi Misano ‘12 “Boxer” Limited Edition Helmet
RidersDiscount replied to RidersDiscount's topic in Sponsors
This weekend’s MotoGP race at Assen was a great one for many reasons, any of which would have singlehandedly made for an exciting race. Jorge Lorenzo’s incredible return to not only compete, but to take fifth place after breaking his collarbone less than two days prior; the excellent battle between Marc Marquez and Cal Crutchlow for second; and, of course, Valentino Rossi’s return to the top step of the podium. While Lorenzo’s feat may have arguably been the most impressive, the legions of fans sporting yellow VR46 gear at the track and the millions more that watched everything play out from living rooms across the globe are more than happy to keep their focus on Rossi’s first win since the Malaysian Grand Prix back in October of 2010. If you’re in the market for the limited edition Rossi “Boxer” version of the AGV GP-Tech that we have showcased here, or any other AGV helmet, you can contact Nathan by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809 or by sending him a message through this forum. We’re also happy to answer your emails, so feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and you can expect a quick reply! -

The STR-3 Vent glove is a brand new offering from Spidi for 2013. This full gauntlet is aimed at the aggressive sport rider and combines track-ready protection with a well ventilated, flexible feel that can keep you comfortable on a long ride. The sturdy leather construction is abrasion resistant from the start, but this isn’t the only aspect that keeps your hands safe. Starting at the fingertips, you will notice that while each digit has its own unique protection scheme, they are all are guarded by multiple layers of material. These include Clarino, vented sliders, layered leather, and energy absorbing foam. The knuckles are well protected as well, since they are covered by the same carbon fiber protector found on higher end Spidi gloves like the Carbo-3 and the top-of-the-line Carbo Track. It is shaped into ridges that not only cut through the air better, but also help the gloves slide without catching the ground in the event of a fall. Moving to the opposite side of the glove, the cowhide palm is reinforced with Clarino and energy absorbing foam. One of the standout features is also found here - Spidi’s Warrior Tech armor. Spidi first used this unique armor on the Carbo Track glove, and now it has made it’s way down the line to the STR-3, where it protects the scaphoid bone. This is a commonly injured area and the added protection is a nice touch. As their name suggests, the STR-3 Vent gloves are vented for enhanced comfort in warm weather. Perforated leather in the fingers work with a large vent behind the knuckles to keep air flowing around your hand. This comfort doesn’t only apply to warm days, however. The gloves have a supple, flexible feel and an excellent lining that make them very easy to wear for long periods of time. If you are interested in the Spidi STR-3 Vent gloves you can get more information by calling Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or by sending a message through this forum. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Spidi STR-3 Vent gloves are available in Black (pictured) and Black/Red. The palm features a Warrior Tech scaphoid protector, as well as leather reinforced with Clarino. Air intakes on the back the hand make these a good choice for riding in warm weather. Each finger is protected differently. The types of protection include reinforced leather, energy absorbing foam, and vented sliders. MSRP - $199.95

Speed And Strength Speed Shop Leather Jacket
RidersDiscount replied to RidersDiscount's topic in Sponsors
Not everyone likes heavily branded apparel, which is why Speed and Strength took a more stealthy approach with the Speed Shop jacket. It has a small logo embroidered on the left shoulder, and a set of retro looking patches on the right shoulder and the back, just below the collar. This subtlety matches the overall retro look and feel of the Speed and Strength Speed Shop jacket very well. Here's a look at the patch. -
Need a well rounded backpack that is practical both on and off the bike? Take a look at the Roving backpack from Alpinestars. This bag comes with the kind of technical features that you would expect from Alpinestars, but doesn’t look out of place when your bike is out of sight. The Alpinestars Roving backpack is designed for both riding and everyday use. The aerodynamic shape is somewhat low profile, however it still has an 18 liters of storage and a laptop pouch that will hold most 15” notebooks. The outer shell is made of a durable poly-fabric that is both strong and water resistant. There is also a full rain cover stowed in a convenient zippered pocket at the bottom for when the weather really takes a turn for the worse. Other motorcycle specific features include built-in helmet and jacket carriers, as well as reflective detailing for visibility. Comfort is important for any backpack, whether it’s for riding or not. That is why Alpinestars gave the Roving pack what they call their A-stream back panel. This combines large air channels with padded 3D mesh on the strap side of the bag in order to promote airflow over your back. The adjustable shoulder straps also feature the same plush, 3D mesh for both comfort and cooling. If you are interested in the Alpinestars Roving Backpack, or any other Alpinestars product, just get in touch with Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext. 809 or through this forum. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send one to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The A-stream system on the back helps keep you comfortable and cool. The Roving backpack is water resistant, but it also has a full rain cover stowed in a pocket for when the rain gets heavy.

I'll put the word in. Probably won't make the cut until the next release though.

Definitely going to want to wait for at least the 3-day outlook or bring rain tires for the in case. Weather is super sketchy this time of year up here.

Vortex is not the kind of brand that puts out a product and ignores feedback from their customers. They have had adjustable rearsets on the market for over ten years, and the design has been constantly evolving ever since. The current iteration is the result of years of race experience and feedback at both the professional and amateur levels. This feedback led to a set of rearsets that, while built to be track ready, are perfectly suited for the road as well. If you are interested in a set of Vortex Adjustable Rearsets for your bike you can get in touch with Nathan through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809. You can also feel free to send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! Vortex Adjustable Rearsets are machined from sturdy and lightweight aluminum before being given their anodized finish. They are shown here for the Yamaha R1. Two 3x3 grids of mounting points allow you to adjust them to your liking. This closeup gives you a better look at the quality machine work and the mounting points that provide the adjustability. They feature folding toe pegs that can be mounted in two ways to accommodate different foot sizes. The one shown on the left in this photo is closer to the rear and the right is further forward. The footpegs provide lots of grip without destroying your boots. They also have a recessed breaking point towards the end that is designed to give way in the event of a crash. This leaves you with a useable amount of peg if the bike is still rideable.
