  1. I have a feeling that any pending deals are going to wait and see what the viewership numbers are going to be for the Daytona races before finalizing any contracts.
  2. The caricature of Hayden on the back of the Arai Corsair-V Nicky GP helmet is pretty accurate - right down to the Kentucky Kid's signature smirk. Riders Discount still has this limited edition helmet available, so be sure to get in touch with Nathan and we'll get one shipped out right away!
  3. We just sent off the 2012's on the semi for Joey to rip around the Daytona banks. The next day we pick up four new 2013 beauties.
  4. Morehead - the Harvard of the south. At least that's what my high school history teacher always said.
  5. You can never have enough Zero Gravity windscreens. Andrew Swenson Design gave Joey Pascarella a couple options on visibility during the tuck on the banks of Daytona.
  6. Some of the scenes from 'Idiocracy' are becoming far too real.
  7. I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a '64 Impala
  8. Nice! Answered your PM too PM sent.
  9. It’s not easy to improve upon an excellent product like the Forcefield Pro L2 back protector, but Forcefield managed to do just that when they released the Pro L2K. The biggest difference between the two is that the new model uses Kevlar thread in order to up the durability. Other than that, the Pro L2K provides the same comfortable, lightweight protection that we loved about the original. Picking up the Forcefield Pro L2K, the first thing people tend to notice is just how light and flexible it is. This attribute allows it to conform to the body without restricting movement. Forcefield accomplished this by layering foam with different densities underneath a honeycomb-like grid made of high-tech shock absorbing material called NitrexEvo. In most cases, when a product is this comfortable it means that there were probably some trade-offs in the protection department - this is not the case with the Pro L2K. The Forcefield Pro L2K is not only comfortable, but also extremely protective. The same materials that make it flexible are also designed to repeatedly absorb impact energy while transferring very little shock to the rider. It was this level of performance that helped the Pro L2K pass the CE Level 2 certification tests with ease. All in all, the Forcefield Pro L2K is a back protector that provides the best of both worlds when it comes to protection and comfort. If you’re interested in this, or any other Forcefield products, feel free to get in touch with Nathan through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get right back to you! Adjustable velcro waist straps and shoulder straps keep the Pro L2K securely in place. This cutaway shows how the different types of foam are layered underneath the NitrexEvo grid layer. The layers are also perforated to allow air to circulate to your back. A closer look at the layers within the Pro L2K.
  10. Might as well make time for the Grattan pub while you're there.

  15. What do you get when you take the a Sidi Vertigo and cut it down to ankle height? The Sidi Apex. There many options in the low-rise boot category, and they range from very casual to quite technical. Being based on the Vertigo means that the Apex is on the technical end of the spectrum, and offer a lot of protection in a shorter, convenient package. Protection starts right near the top of these short boots, with thermoplastic resin protectors on the sides of the ankle bones, and Sidi’s patented Vertebra system running down the back. This wraps your Achilles tendon in a hard shell that extends down to the reinforced, shock absorbing heel cup. At the front, a rigid toe box and nylon toe slider keeps your toes safe. Less visible protection is found underneath your foot, where Sidi used a composite inner sole to guard your foot against side-to-side compression. Like many of Sidi’s boots, exterior armor pieces such as the ankle protectors, heel cup and toe sliders are all bolt on pieces that can be replaced if they take damage. This, along with the replaceable sole and double stitching makes them durable as well. In addition to the protective elements, the first thing that most people notice are the closable vents on the outer side of each boot. Reminiscent of the ram air intakes on the shaker hood of an early 1970’s Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda, these vents catch air from the side and force it throughout the breathable lining of the boot. Any moisture that may have built up around your foot is pushed to the breathable outer liner, which is made of a proprietary material that Sidi calls TechnoMicro, where it is quickly dried. The TechnoMicro material looks and feels like high-quality leather, but it is extremely breathable, lightweight, and stain/scratch resistant. Other comfort features include a nylon inner sole with removable arch support, and a perforated memory foam lining on the inner ankle. Sidi’s Apex is a great pair of boots for those that are looking for something shorter and more convenient than a full length pair, but don’t want to sacrifice too much in the way of protection. You can order a pair for yourself by getting in touch with Nathan through this forum, or by calling him at 866.931.6644 ext. 809. You can also feel free to send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! MSRP $250.00 Large vents on the outside of each boot catch air and circulate it throughout the inside of the boots, keeping your feet cool and dry. They are fully adjustable and can be closed if the extra ventilation is not needed. The back half of your foot is kept safe by Sidi’s Vertebra system, thermoplastic ankle armor and a shock absorbing heel cup - all of which are replaceable. In addition to the reinforced toe box, a replaceable toe slider helps guard the front. The dual compound sole provides impact protection and excellent feedback from the footpegs. These can also be replaced by Sidi.
  16. Close. He was riding our 2009 "regular" 675...
  17. Riders Discount Triumph rider, Joey Pascarella, smashed the old 600cc lap record at Vegas with a 1:15.424 in lap 2 of this video. He beat the old record (also set by himself) by half a second! To put this in perspective, no other 600cc rider has dipped below a 1:16 at this track. Even more impressive is the fact that the overall lap record, set by a 1000cc superbike, is only .2 seconds faster. This, is a perfect lap with Joey Pascarella at Vegas Speedway. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXagMZDNplA
