Aimed squarely at the serious trackday rider and racers everywhere, AiM’s Solo 2 GPS lap timer gives you everything you need to make the most out of your time at the track in one easy-to-use device. What sets the Solo 2 apart from other GPS-based lap timers is the fact that it draws positional data not only from American GPS satellites, but also from the GLONASS constellation. The result is a very precise lap timer that provides the kind of feedback you need to improve your pace at any track on Earth. The Solo 2 draws upon a map of over 2000 circuits in order to determine the basics such as start/finish position as well as the layout of the course. If you’re at a familiar track, by the time you head out for your session, it’ll indicate where you are and automatically start running the clock in the right spot. And for those lucky enough to have built their own private racetrack on a plot of land somewhere, the Solo 2 will figure that out quickly and function as it were on any of its known circuits. Circuit use isn’t the device’s only strength. If you like to spend time at the drag strip, the Solo 2 can be configured track common performance metrics such as straight line acceleration. The unit is truly versatile, no matter the type of performance riding. And what good is the data if you’re unable to examine it? That’s where the Wi-Fi functionality comes into play. You can download all the data from each session wirelessly, straight to any compatible device using the included software. With that, you’ll instantly see where your performance stands, any time you want. That, and soon, there’ll be an iOS app available to greatly simplify post-session analysis! Each Solo 2 comes with a power cable for wiring it into your bike’s 12V power supply, a plug-in wall charger, mounting bracket with hardware, CD with the requisite software and a well-written user manual. Furthermore, an array of add-ons are available that allow you to truly exploit the device for maximum gains at the track. Particularly nifty are the ECU interface and video camera integration tools that allow you to have an overlay of all critical data while watching the playback of your session. With that, you’ll truly be able to unlock your own potential every time you step out for a session at speed. Everything you need and more, in one simple device. Orders yours today by calling TJ on 866.931.6644 ext 817, send a note to Forum@RidersDiscount.com or just PM us here and we’ll get you tidied up right away.

Alpinestars got their foot in the door, almost literally, with footwear, later the Italian brand moved onto motocross gear in general: pants, shirts and gloves, later the company worked on the same for the road-going crowd. Armored gear was added to the lineup, but all the while, conspicuously absent was something to cover the head, until now with the Alpinestars Supertech M10 Helmet. Like all their gear, this helmet was engineered from the start to offer the best possible protection in a thoughtful design. It’s built to be as light as possible with no compromise as far as safety is concerned. To do this, a complete, high-density carbon fiber out shell over an armadic fiber (Kevlar-type material) is used. The former, dissipates any impact over a larger area while the latter resists penetration at the point of impact. Another layer of UD carbon composite within the shell imparts additional resistance against deformation at impact. Below that, a multi-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) impact-absorbing liner is fitted. Four different densities of this material are carefully positioned to maximize impact protection for the rider’s sake. Not only does the EPS liner serve in this critical role, but it’s also an integral part of keeping your head cool. Ventilation shafts are molded in place that complement the intake and exhaust vents of the helmet’s exterior. Furthermore, the visor works with these vents to direct cooling air to the scalp. The M10 line employs four different shell and EPS size combination to best realize impact mitigation and weight savings. After all, a helmet can’t perform at its best if it’s not properly sized for the rider. Which brings us to the helmet’s liner. This fully-removable affair is made with a cool-max fabric that removes moisture from the rider’s head. Not only that, but the liner can be shaped using the including padding for a perfect fit against the top of the skull. The A-Head fitment system gives you all of the adjustability you need to fit the lid perfectly in place atop the skull. And when we’re talking about value, (how much is your head worth?!), you’ll be pleasantly surprised how it stacks up against Japanese competition. Tons of features are packed into this lid, and once you put it on, you’ll feel like a million bucks are sat atop your head! It really is a nice piece of equipment. Each helmet ships with a nice Alpinestars helmet bag, spare visor and a thick owner’s manual that tells you everything you need to know to get the most out of the helmet. Available in several color designs, you can order this and take advantage of expert sizing advice by giving TJ a call on 866.931.6644 ext 817. Or, just send a note to forum@ridersdiscount.com with ALPINESTARS SUPERTECH M10 helmet in the subject line and we’ll get back to you right away.

You definitely have to pay attention to parasitic draw, as it will kill a lithium battery. The manufacturer specific chargers will generally be balance chargers (they charge the cells individually) which will extend the life of the battery.

A leather 2-piece leather suit that’s equally at home on the track, or on the way to the office, the Atem 2-piece provides much of the same protection you see in the company’s full-on race suits, but in a design that’s suitable for more than just trackdays and racing. Unlike lesser two-piece suits which use weak, small zippers, the Atem 2-piece employs large YKK zippers for attaching the pants to the jacket. This arrangement provides for a reliable closure that not only serves as a safety mechanism, but keeps the elements out on less-than-sunny days. In a nod to the suit’s racing heritage, Alpinestars Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) external armor is found in the most vulnerable places: the knees, elbows and shoulders. These protectors enhance the already stout stitching in these critical areas for exceptional protection against blowouts in a crash. Plus, each of these areas are backed by CE-certified GP-R armor directly below to mitigate the forces of an impact, reducing the risk of injury. And of course, the back hump is there for pukka race looks! The two-piece suit is configured in a trackday cut, that is, it’s built to be comfortable on fast bikes. Though, a myriad of leather accordion stretch panels (and stretch fabric in non-impact areas), provide a comfortable range of flexibility so, even off the bike, the leathers don’t pull at you in a strange way. Plus, the skin-facing side of the suit is laid out with a mesh panel to reduce friction in movement and also, provide additional cooling capacity. The easy in-and-out of the two-piece design makes the Atem a wise choice for commuting, jacket-only during the week, and then adding the pads for weekend twisties or trackday riding. For the rider on a budget, this setup allows you to dress up as the ride required, at a very reasonable price. The Atem 2-Piece Suit comes in a range of sizes. To be sure of a perfect fit, give TJ a call on 866.931.6644 ext 817 for expert guidance. We've been using the Lithium batteries since 2010. In that time as long as you take care of the lithium battery (don't completely discharge it) they have outlasted lead acid or AGM batteries from the same time period.

Yuasa YTX AGM Maintenance Free Batteries
RidersDiscount replied to RidersDiscount's topic in Sponsors
Right now they are definitely the most dependable. -
Available for modern just about every bike out there, Yuasa batteries have long been the battery of choice for OEM manufacturers, which makes the YTX variant an ideal replacement when the OEM unit has reached end of life. Featuring absorbed glass mat (AGM) cells, all you have to do is add the pre-measured acid pack, charge as directed, and install the battery in your bike. There’s no guesswork here as it’s all laid out perfectly for you with everything that’s included in the box. Since the battery is of a sealed design, there’s no worry about acid spillage, or even having to refill the battery later on. Just fill it up and forget it! The AGM design allows the battery to stand for longer, without a charge, than conventional flooded batteries. This makes it an ideal choice for riders that have long stints between rides. And given that each battery is built in an OEM-sized chassis, with the leads correctly oriented, fitting the battery to your bike is about as simple as it gets! To order yours, give TJ a call on 866.931.6644 ext 817 to get the correct Yuasa battery for your ride sent straight to your door. Of course, forum@ridersdiscount.com or a PM works, too!

Attack rearsets give you all of the meat, with none of the fat, in one elegant package. Each kit comes with everything you need to not only improve your fit on the big BMW, but also – improve shifting performance and feel on the brake pedal. The rearsets are entirely manufactured using top-quality aluminum that’s all held together, stoutly, with high-quality stainless steel fasteners. And wherever pivot points are found, you get a precision bearing-mediated interface. Quality is of no concern, no matter how much you scrutinize these beauties. All of this lends well to durability in a crash. The footpegs are engineered to break off at half length, giving you enough room for your foot to purchase so you can finish the race or get home safely. Furthermore, each toe peg is mounted on a pivot joint for extra survivability. In terms of adjustability, there’s little, really nothing – left to be desired. You get a wide range of peg position possibilities, and also, you can adjust the length of the shifter and brake arms, too. And when it comes time to configure the rearsets to your particular dimension, you may have a hard time doing so while you admire the gorgeously sculpted components. From the backing plates, the carbon fiber heel guard or even the footpegs, there’s nuances that they eye will enjoy everywhere. You know the routine, give TJ a call on 866.931.6644 ext 817 to get this, or any other Attack Performance component sent straight to your door. Of course, forum@ridersdiscount.com or a PM works, too!

While better technology exists, motorcycles of all kinds are going down the road needlessly carrying a heavy slab of lead. For just about every bike on the market, a better option exists in the form of a Shorai Battery. There’s no lead here, but rather, a well-engineered lithium iron phosphate power cell that provides more starting power, less self-discharge and a longer life than the lead-acid battery it replaces. Each Shorai battery chassis is designed to be as small and as light as possible. And, while the chassis may look the almost the same as a conventional motorcycle battery, you’ll notice right away when picking it up that you’re holding something special. Depending on the machine, you can expect to save anywhere from 6-20lbs. off your bike’s weight. Power output aside, in terms of weight savings to value, there’s nothing else you can replace on your bike that saves so much weight at such a reasonable price. For bikes with high-compression pistons or other modifications that make turning over the engine more demanding on the starter, the battery is ready for the challenge. Each battery is rated to operate at a higher voltage output than the stock unit it replaces. This makes a Shorai battery an excellent choice for performance engine builds. And when riding season is over, the battery’s low self-discharge rate means you can pull it out of your bike, put it inside and not have to worry about it becoming flat when springtime rolls around. Just install when it’s warm and go! Shorai batteries require no special modifications to your bike’s stock charging system. Even the electrical poles are the same arrangement as the stock battery you’re replacing making installation a snap. And, because the power elements are fitted inside as small a chassis a possible, easily-cut foam blocks are included with each battery to provide a simple, quick installation in your bike’s OEM battery box. You can also use the additional space for fitting various tuning components, such as a Power Commander V, in that newly-available space. Backed by a five year manufacturer warranty, you can buy with confidence. To get your own model-specific Shorai battery, give TJ a call on 866.931.6644 ext 817, send a note to forum@ridersdiscount.com with SHORAI BATTERY in the subject line along with the model and year of the bike you’re riding, or just shoot us a PM and we’ll get right back to you.

You can’t go wrong with VR46 livery, it belongs on your bike, your toolbox, your leathers, and of course – your head. The Corsa R variant of Rossi’s famous design features the signature yellow 46 number on a matte black shell. The contrasting colors certainly stand out on the road, or at the track, making your head easily visible to all with which you’re sharing the road. An array of user-adjustable vents are fitted to the front of the helmet to keep you cool when the sun is out. And of course, these can all be easily closed with a gloved hand. A centrally-located visor latch comes as standard, though you’ll certainly want to add a dark-tinted visor to your order so you can be ready for those sunny days. Comfort duties are assigned to a fully-removable Lycra and Dry-Comfort internal lining inside a helmet that’s available in six different sizes. You get an extremely comfortable interior that was carefully engineered using 3D analysis for a helmet that stays correctly positioned on your head while riding. And the Dry-Comfort material helps keep you cool on hot days. A tool-less visor removal mechanism is fitted as standard, so you can swap shields for day or night riding in seconds. And a wide field of view will provide you with an unobstructed view of the field ahead for a safe ride. Speaking of safety, these helmets are ECE and DOT approved. You get it all in a high-quality lid from AGV. These are on sale and we currently have sizes small, large, XL, and 2XL Quantities for this helmet are limited, so order today! The original, and arguably the best, brake levers you can buy for your machine, CRG now produces a set of levers made almost entirely from carbon fiber for modern fast bikes. Producing a strong, resilient lever isn’t an easy task when working with carbon fiber, but CRG learned exactly what was required and now offers these to the public. A patent-pending continuous strand carbon fiber construction technique allows what, until recently was only a dream – an extremely light, but strong lever. To do this, carbon fiber matting is carefully lined up in a mold before taking a trip to the autoclave where the final shape is realized. Once the model-specific adapter is fitted to the inner-end of each lever that includes CRG’s Raceline infinite position adjustment design so you can easily set each lever to your preferred reach. Conceived, designed, and fabricated entirely in the USA, these levers will stand out on any machine to which they’re attached. And, you can choose between standard or shorty-length carbon fiber levers, too! The CRG Carbon Adjustable levers are available for the following bikes: BMW S1000RR 2010-2014 Ducati 848 2008-2012 Ducati 1198 2009-2011 Ducati Panigale 899 2014-2015 Ducati Panigale 1199 2012-2015 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 2007-2012 Honda CBR600RR 2007-2014 Honda CBR1000RR 2008-2014 Kawasaki ZX6R 2009-2014 Kawasaki ZX10R 2009-2015 Suzuki GSXR600/750 11-14 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2014 Yamaha R6 2006-2016 Yamaha R1 2009-2014 If you have any questions or would like to order please contact TJ on 866.931.6644 or email forum@ridersdiscount.com and we’ll get back to you right away!

Lightweight, powerful and easy-to-fit in your bike’s stock battery box, Featherweight Lithium batteries from Firepower deliver reliable starting power for your ride. These batteries offer a few advantage over conventional lead-acid batteries that are worth mentioning. Starting with a longer useful life than century-old lead acid technology – that’s right, with proper use, these batteries will last longer than your bike’s original battery. In fact, so sure of their longevity, Firepower offers a two year warranty on their batteries. For custom applications, since there’s no fluid inside the chassis, you can position the battery any way you need. Inverted, on its ear, or even a crooked way, it doesn’t care and will operate as designed without issue. Another nice thing, for those of you that, regrettably, only ride on occasion, Featherweight batteries have a long storage life thanks to a low self-discharge rate. If you know you’re going away for a long time, simply disconnect the battery from your machine and you’re good. There’s no need to put it on a trickle charger just to hold onto enough starting power for your next foray out on the road. Just re-connect and ride. And if there are ever any doubts, you don’t even need to attach a charger, simply press the TEST button on the built-in LED test gauge to instantly determine your battery’s state of charge. Each battery ships with a set of high-quality hardware and, where needed, foam or plastic blocks that help the often smaller-than-stock battery fit in the OEM battery box without bouncing around. And if you have a fuel tuning device, the extra space will be a welcome location for that tuning box. To order your model-specific Firepower Featherweight battery, call TJ on 866.931.6644 ext 817, send a PM here or an email to forum@ridersdiscount.com with FIREPOWER BATTERY in the subject line along with the model and year of your machine. With that data, we’ll find the correct battery to fit your machine.
