Motoholders fairing stays are the choice of top teams all over the world. Each unit features all-aluminum construction and has provisions for fitting the OEM instruments. We have these stays available in two styles: street and race (pictured you will find an example of the 2013+ 675 in a "race" version). The "street" version works with the OEM bodywork and allows for the installation of mirrors in the stock location. The race fairing stay provides the bare minimum; fittings for the OEM instrument cluster and ears for attaching aftermarket bodywork. As Bell was one of the first manufacturers to develop a full-face helmet for the motorcycling world, it’s only natural that same level of innovation would continue today. The Star MIPS DLX helmet employs an innovation that’s designed to mitigate brain injury in the event of a hit that’s beyond anything an EPS-lined helmet can currently achieve. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology, which was invented about 20 years ago and continually refined since then, works much like that of the human skull’s own impact mitigation system. It allows the helmet to rotate slightly on your skull in the event of an impact. That is to say, the helmet itself may move up to 15mm on top of your head while staying safely in place to reduce rotational injury to the brain. It’s almost like a sliding shock absorber for your helmet. Inside your skull, your brain does the same thing to reduce injuries – it slides along the inner portion of the skull a little way in order to reduce stresses that would otherwise damage brain function. The MIPS device is fixed between the impact-absorbing liner and the X-Static comfort liner and requires no additional setup when donning the helmet – you wear it just like any other lid. There’s no additional equipment to fuss with, but the safety benefits are certainly worth it. Built using the best, full grain bovine leather that Alpinestars can find, the Missile Ignition Leather Jacket provides world-class impact protection with high levels of abrasion resistance. If anyone can attest, qualitatively, to the protectiveness of Alpinestars’ Supertech R Boots, it’s Cal Crash … er, Crutchlow. The British rider, aside from being one of the fastest humans on two wheels, certainly wouldn’t short himself on looking after his feet and, fortunately, has sustained little, if any injury, while wearing these boots in one of his many get-offs over the last few seasons. This top-of-the-line riding boot not only offers CE-certified protection, but also – supreme comfort thanks to its two part design that utilizes an inner bootie, mainly for rigidity, and an outer shell for abrasion and impact resistance. Built using a combination of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide hinges set on the outside of a breathable mesh lining, the internal bio-mechanical ankle brace works with the outer structure of the allows free movement of the foot, on or off the bike. The double-hinged inner and outer torsion bars give greater impact protection to the ankle by progressively absorbing flex and rotation stress, reducing pressure and hyper-extension injury to the lower leg joints in the event of a hard hit to the ground. You simply put this on before slipping your foot into the boot. The outer shell employs shields of TPU material on the shin and heel. These ergonomically-shaped parts wrap around to outer calf and heel to dissipate impact energy across a larger part of the boot, and the foot within, these mitigate the force of impact when everything goes wrong.
