KTM RC8R Adjustable ergos for the street (pegs, subframe, bars) and good for track days. Too aggressive, go with SuperDuke or SMR. "Ergonomically speaking, the KTM is more adjustable than an Aeron chair. Clip-on bars provide a few inches of vertical variation, and the footpegs offer high and low positions as well. The brake and shift lever toe pieces are three-position adjustable, and the hydraulic clutch and front brake levers offer five settings. The RC8's saddle is very supportive and, with the footpegs set low and the handlebars raised high, the bike provides a level of comfort superior to any competitive sportbike." http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/features/122_0811_ducati_1098_vs_ktm_rc8_1190/viewall.html

No spoons but little sample cups that don't require spoons are planned. There will be 10 flavors running at any one time. You can take as much as you want of each flavor, into your cup, pay us, and then use your spoon. -

Twilly's Yogurt Emporium is moving closer to opening. We have passed all the inspections and have approval to open. There are a few more details to work through but the biggest hurdles remain the POS system and laborers. Signage should go up today and we will place our order for toppings. Shooting for opening on the 27th. We would like to have a "soft" opening where friends and friends of friends will be invited in to check out the place and give feedback. No charge yogurt so we can do a shake down on our process. Check back here for time and dates on the soft opening. All will be invited and be sure to bring our target audience: wives and kids. -
push inside bar or pull outside bar will do the same thing. Also interested to hear comments.

Back road corner carver project-Ninja 250R or 'zuki GS500F?
Revelstoker replied to modular's topic in Tech and Tips
Missed you post on the Supermoto option so I have your problem solved: H-D Xr1200x Older Ducati Multistrada might be a good option if you can find one in your price range or, just find one. -
KTM SMT = one bike garage. Touring, twisties, commuting and fire roads are all well within the bikes comfort zone. Change the tires (as some have done) and the bike will go a lot further off road. Track days would be no problem as the WP suspension is quite good and easy to adjust into sport mode. Not much to look at but one heck of a fun bike to ride. Double bonus, tool kit comes with a bottle opener!!!

I have to think Paul Ryan would have made a better Prez choice than Romney. Reps will have to be careful or Ryan will upstage Mitt. Obama is going to have a really hard time now. It will be interesting to see if the Mormon issue is the deciding factor.

Fruit woods work great with poultry. I have found that using indirect grilling works the best with chicken vs slow smoking. I like to cut the chicken and lay it out flat, grill it and put a nice char on it and then put it to the side with no heat. I put fruit wood, fruit and herbs on the grill over the fire or even on the charcoal. Let it smoke for an 1-2 hours and call it quits. Turkey is another one that I have had best results with indirect. Only with Turkey, I will put the bird in the middle with coals on both sides. Drip pan in the middle with beer, fruit juice to baste. Wood, fruit and herbs right on the coals and add coals as needed. 1hr per pound works fine. Note, I don't stuff the bird to allow smoke inside. Tenting can help on the breasts towards the end.

Nice, good job! 50 miles is not that hard if you are taking your time about it and have someone to ride along with. Good cause. I so need to do more of these rides, I miss them.

How about a SuperMoto? wicked good in the corners, cheap, upright riding position? http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/3169054557.html or http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/3057834516.html -

Not worth it. Ducati's are sick expensive to repair. Cosmetic damage will total one (I learned the hard way). I would love to put my KTM SMT on the track but that totally defeats my logic of buying a beater and keeping the expensive bike off the track.

Follow the crowds or just ask the guys you park next too. Most people there are really cool and helpful. Just let them know it is your first time. Putnam is really small and you can't miss it. Speaker system sucks so take a watch. Track usually opens at 7am. Novice classes are generally held up on the second floor of the tower. Excellent place to get a good visual of the facility. You can roll in and get your stuff setup. Ignore the "NASA TECH" entry in the image below. Generally, you roll down the "PRE-GRID" area towards the tower. Tech is done there. Rider's meeting may be in the same area or sometimes it is held by vendor/picnic tables next to the "NASA CENTRAL" entry. Registration can be in the tower or in the same "tech/meeting" area. It all depends on how the group wants to run the event. Don't worry, you can't get lost.

Getting closer to opening. Machines are in and inspections to come. POS system should get here next week and then I can work on the OR Rider promo code. Soft opening (no fanfare) in a week or two. Hopefully, grand opening around Labor Day. -
Who's burning the Monday after MotoGP for a day of fun? Riding I and will be joined by my brother, also on a 900ss in I. Though, I think he is sporting some yellow and red two tone unit now. Be sure to say hi when passing us by.

Putnam is a good track for a first time out as it has a nice mix of fast and slow sections and you can pick up the lines pretty quick. Biased, as it was my first track. The the org. you run with for your first time is more important. Sportbiketracktime (STT) has a good Novice program that can ease you into the sport and help make for an enjoyable first experience. Others will have to provide input on Motoseries Novice program.

Thanks for the best wishes and we welcome all the support. And yes, there will be some promos once the cash flow starts flowing. http://www.twillysyogurt.com/ and LIKE us on FB. A couple more weeks for construction, permits and training. We need a few good employees now. The site gives the directions but we are about 1 mile north of I-675 on 48 (Far Hills Road). We are in the back of the Dorothy Lane shopping center. Centerville/Kettering border. -
Ok, lets be honest - all the bands you listed are pop groups. They did little or nothing to advance or improve Rock n Roll. They were, just popular and really don't meet the criteria of the Hall of Fame. Kiss just jumped on the glam rock train long after it was defined by T-Rex and Bowie. Ted Nugent was a spawn of the southern rock movement founded by the Allman Bros. and Skynyrd. All the metal bands you list are just a further extension of Zep and Sabbath. SRV had some merit and came along on the blues/rock crossover bands that got their kick off from Robert Cray. Though, those really didn't move rock further so much as they are just recycled versions of Albert King, Freddie King and Luther Allison. CARS, really?? total pop bs bubble gum band for high school girls in the 80s along with Boston, Styx and Queen. Some of the bands that are in shouldn't be (Police, Genesis, GNR) there at this time but they do have quite a few of good inductees.

-1 for cutting the corner (unless it was a closed course). Lovely benefits of the dirt bikes. Crash and go. Glad it worked out ok for him and hopefully the little deer was ok as well.

The wife and I are opening up a self-serve yogurt shop in Centerville/Kettering area and are now looking to hire part-time employees. Stay-at-home mom or retiree also wanted for morning opening routine (clean a machine or two, cut fruit). We are looking to hire a few part-time employees to fill out the shift schedule. If anyone interested and is comfortable interfacing with people, send us an app. Sooner we get some good peeps, the sooner we can open. All shifts needed. Application is on the contacts page http://twillysyogurt.com/ .

Frick, where were you in March. My size and I just put on a new rear. What is the shelf life as I probably won't need a new set for 2 more years, given my sorry rate of riding.

Ducati isn't in WSBK as a factory team. Do you want them to enter with the Panigale? Because the carbon fiber box frameless unit did so well in MotoGP? At least the Althea 1098R with the trellis is still competitive. What's up with Checa these days? He seemed to have a good first few races and then has gone cold.

Falcone in Indy and MCC in Chicago are dealers. None in the states at this time that I know of. Depending on model, $16K is the starting MSRP. The 916SE with BST wheels is sold out and already in the unobtainium category. Bloody euros have all the fun. Guzzi Racer 7 is pretty cool and is supposed to get a new motor in 2013. You might want to be on the lookout for a BMW R1200R or one of the F800R/s/st models. Very capable of doing what you ask and won't challenge your inseam more than it already is. Weestrom might work but starts to get a bit high. Harley Deluxe would make a nice cruiser and touring ride. Quite a few Ducati Monsters on Craigslist. SV650 might be a winner. A few options: http://limaohio.craigslist.org/mcy/3079966199.html http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/3129564831.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3127036109.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3128337393.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3142347082.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3081293943.html http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/3113205715.html http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/3087531169.html

Going over for the race on Sunday and then off to Putnam for the Monday trackday.
