As long as Stoner and Pedrosa can stay in front of Lorenzo, I will be happy. I would love to see Rossi and Ducati in the mix and I wonder if Rossi might jump to BMW if BMW comes in next year????
-
So what was or is Rossi's excuse for letting the CRT guys watch his lines? Good to see Hayden in 7th but once again, Ducati seems way off the pace.

Sounds like Novice/Street will provide some of the STT Novice experience? The last group to run the track will be the Novice/Street class. This session is where most new riders will continue to learn the track and advance their skill levels. After completing the classroom session, these riders will be with a chaperone on the track, and passing will only be allowed on straight-aways with limited top speeds. (Rest assured, even the Novice/Street group will be allowed to exceed the normal highway speed limits.) After each session, the chaperone will stick around to answer any questions the riders may have on technique or machine set up and to evaluate riders moving to move to the Intermediate class. The “Test The Track” group will be instituted into this group. -
you mean, this one that I just found: http://www.abdecal.com/productimage.php?product_id=617¤t_image=1

Hey all, I think my cousin has a machine or something to do these. I will send her an email and see if she can do it. I know she mentioned that she could make the little family characters that go in peoples window. (due to kids demands, on my van)

My arm might be twisted to share a garage on Sunday. Otherwise, I will just do the pop-up tent thing. Sat. night place to stay reco? No way am I driving up Sun. morning.

It was the way he moved left and cutting off Luthi that looked suspect to me in the replay. Given they were on the straight, no reason to move left when he knew darn well that Luthi was there. I guess Luthi bitched slapped Marquez at the end and pointed to his helmet, "what were you thinking" or "use your head" kind of motion for no good reason if it was a legit move. $10 bucks says Luthi gets even before the year is out.
-
Looks like Marquez (sp?) should be DQ'ed for adjusting his line and running that guy off the track. Well, looked like something more than just a pass was going on there on replay.

I was viewing this crew earlier and was thinking of doing one of their events. I liked the idea of this sportsman race for first timers but I thought I would give myself a full year in I and getting a bit more comfortable with passing (getting passed). Well, that and I still haven't figured out T8 at Putnam. Even with Dubguy towing me around I still botched it. -
Those of you who haven't called Jack at Allstate really should.
Revelstoker replied to Casper's topic in Reviews
Never had Allstate or anything other than State Farm. I have filed a few claims with SF over the years and they have always made it quick and painless to get a claim covered. No denials and even paid to fix my car when it could have been totaled. SF rates have always been competitive when I shopped them around. Seems like all of the majors dropped HPDE coverage, grrrr. -
Well, basic course provides the bikes. Harley-Davidson also provides rider training and supplies the bikes if you cannot get into a DMV course. http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Content/Pages/learn-to-ride/search-riders-edge.html?locale=en_US&expLvl=new Buckminns D&D Harley-Davidson Xenia, OH How are you getting your bike home from the dealer?

Ah, the joys of air-cooled. Less weight, less headaches. -
Well, in their 20's, most are chasing female tail on the weekend. In their 30's, they catch that tail and then go through all kinds of hopes to secure that tail (house, car, kids) In their 40's, they stop getting tail and reminisce about getting tail and doing the financial cost/benefit/breakeven analysis of removing the defective tail. In their 50's. they realize they have no chance of eliminating current tail or catching any new tail, the tail they have is not worth the cost and death doesn't sound like such a bad deal. So, they go back to chasing tail which is all we were ever designed to do. (ok, I started in my mid-40s, but I am still slow)

So a guy walks up to me while I'm getting on my bike...
Revelstoker replied to Scruit's topic in Daily Ride
I get that a lot from people as the camera is only really targeted towards "active sports" types. Couch potatoes need not apply. I actually have a video from MotoGP where two professional photogs come up and asked me about it. (It was on my head to shoot over the crowd) One correctly surmised that it's vantage point was good for looking down the tops of women. He was humiliated when I told him it was recording. If I could just edit the size, I could post. -
Dealer network and small production, with no real plans to produce huge numbers. Though, I doubt they would turn away orders if they were placed. Interestingly, they do plan on selling the motor as a crate option. Downside, new Ford Boss 302 is available for $12k as a crate motor. Motus is also $12k. Pricey but at 185hp and 122ft lbs of torque, that little motor would make on heck of a go kart.

No one thinking this might actually be a bad thing? No freezing temps to kill bugs and weather continues to be out of the norm with unseasonably hot weather. Storms are coming for sure, just a matter of when and they are going to be brutal. More tornadic activity further north, I suspect. Last spring was very wet and cold so I am not complaining but I just have one of those, "be careful what you wish for" things going on. This year a continuation of last years late season drought?

Thanks.

Ok, I just bumped to I last year but I signed up for Novice because I have never been on the track. I assume I will be stuck in parade mode for the first two sessions and then no corner passing the rest of the day. All good, as I always learn something. Question, do they bump up or down depending on census for the afternoon or do they have fast N groups for cusp types like myself?
