Not sure T, at least 8 I guess, I will post the expected list by tonight, we will wait till 12:15 at speedway unless they specified Will have to open it in browser and not with Google map app If I knew weather would have cleared up I would have rode as of now made other plans, pretty sure there will be quite a few, throw a thread up
  2. we will have a stop at the gas station in cadiz, http://maps.google.com/maps?q=cadiz+ohio&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x883662b4268f3f8f:0x9a833a943e435059,Cadiz,+OH&gl=us&sa=X&ei=EnZfUeHSBrWh4APj1ICgCQ&ved=0CH8QtgM around there by 1:30- 145
  3. interesting, wish they would account the 12 years of prime youth, docs wither away inside the hospital during college/residency at no wage to less than minimum wage plus the gigantic student loan looming over them to get to this point. http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2013/03/dear-lawmakers-doctor-today.html
  4. Thank you very much guys ifat all possible, maybe, hopefully, ... in 2014 march last week. (warm enuff to ride still have california "winter" discounts on most rentals and stay )
  5. Very nice, gonna get the fairing attack painted?
  6. Bring an extra role of paper towel, I might drool all over the bike Tim hope to see you there
  7. For sure, been a while since we been there, jerry is feeling under the weather hope he recovers fast to make it, can't go any where without elderly wisdom
  8. updated first post with details weather looks good, next weekend might rain, grab what ever day you can and ride guys
  9. awesome i will update names on the first thread, Hutch and Mykill should form a lead sweep combo for med-fast group since they been riding together for a while now.
  10. Made up some sort of group description. This might be completely be wrong, still gives a pointer as to which group to look forward to. The Groups Always start one group below what you feel you ride. Meaning if you think your fast, start with medium fast group and if you are comfortable move to the fast group during gas break after letting the lead and sweep know. Better to be safe than sorry. Remember we might be riding roads very new to you. No ego in both years kept our rides with 0 casuality FAST : one group -Usually 70mph on the straight and 25-30 mph over the posted limit of curve. -The people who belong to the group know they belong to this group, they dont think they belong here. -Dont jump in here unless you been riding with such fellows for some time. eg: UP, Midgettod, Hutch, Core rides Medium-Fast: two groups -65-70mph on the straight and 20-25 over the posted limit opf curve. - This is the usual fast rides some group rides do, still dangerously fast -Jump in here if you been riding for a while and is comfortable at these paces on most roads Medium : two groups -65 mph on the straight and 15-20 over the posted limit opf curve. - This is the usual sport touring group rides do, -Jump in here if you been riding for a while and is comfortable at these paces on most roads Slow : two groups -60 mph or around posted limit on the straight and upto 10 over the posted limit of curve. - This is the a very comfortable yet fun group ride, -Jump in here if you like doing friendly fun rides and also new riders must join here -The last two rides most people rode this group showing zero ego issues and they had most fun, Cruiser and heavy touring: one group -All the mammoth bikes and cruisers -They enjoy the road and own the road at their own pace -Made sperate group just in case there is enough numbers -more than free to join any of the above group based on their own preference. -Need Lead and sweep for these groups -Lead as well as sweep should be able to remember the route really well Suggestion, do you think this will be a good idea and could be followed? -On the day we will arrange to park the bikes in such a way that each group will form a row one after other , this will help tremendously when time comes to split up and go for the ride. So when you come just park in the row in which you would prefer to ride. eg ------------------- FAST ------------------- Med-Fast ------------------- Medium ------------------- etc etc
  11. u can always do that the rest of the year this happens only once every year now jbot is gonna unleash his wrath on me for saying this
  12. honestly i personally would have went for a different weekend keeping that in mind, but majority voted for this So we going with UP route, timing also pretty okay. Need lead, sweep volunteer, as of now 1. dying shadow & nightrider agrred to lead sweep one group. both been riding together for some time and will be pretty comfortable as a team. we need at least 8 to 9 more lead/ sweep combos just to be on the safe side.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOMdl7P2DX0 wish something like this happened on way to work for every one, except people get shot and mugged
  14. Thank you guys, after working 100+ hours weekly for three years we thought to make it sqander away a bit But worth every penny. if not for the mrs i would have rented a viffer, she had a good time with no problems doing hours on as this was dedicated sport tourer. Got it from http://www.californiamotorcycleadventures.com/ good people, fair price compared to others. If i ever get to do it again i am gonna go all the way to oregon like u said. thank you thx ryan, i had made this video while it was still snowing here, waited till it was warm here to post so people can just go out and ride I hope one day every one here should get a chance to do this, worth the effort to cancel and clump few small vaccations together to go there and do it for 6-7 days together. But lemme tell you this, just pure riding basis, we aint missing much in ohio (except the weather) the fun to be had from the roads is pretty much the same. the only winner would be hwy one with the scenic beauty of ocean. Few things i learned was, RT is an awesome bike, low lying boxer engine is an awesome balanced machine, Torque is so much fun, and great suspension is a MUST MUSt MUST for the best of handling. One flip of switch to sport mode suspension on the RT and the entire bike felt like a different sporty beast. No other parameters changed, not the weight, not the rider, just the suspension and i was riding 2X better. Anyways hopefully someday OR gets to invade hwy 1 together, now that would really be an EPIC ride.
  15. Looks good, must be sweet and loud
  16. recently had this one vacation in the last three year. wanted to do something memorable and tick something off the bucket list. And decided this was the best answer. This is not a motorcycle ride video. This is just a video trying to capture our two wheeled experience in one of the best riding roads in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2nmXovV4G4
  17. to avoid confusion we will stick with UP route, very easy to memorize and it includes the famed triple nickle which will be a hall mark for Ohio ride the sunday ride start from same location with a general consensus and work out the finer details later. One most important thing now is to find volunteers for lead and sweep updated first post with some details
  18. hahaha i thought none of them wanted to go back to logan as all checked out already
  19. if we meet at 12, the ride is about 4 hour long means we be done by 4. Plus 1.5 hours to and from the spots. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/waynesburg-oh/44887/hourly-weather-forecast/2086772?hour=81
  20. here is a route if you guys are interested in, i was working on this. But UP suggestion makes sense to keep it simple to avoid confusion. I selected this route based on many good comments about these roads and its good condition. Hopefully u fund it useful http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=OH-374+E&daddr=39.5551079,-82.5751279+to:39.5304091,-82.5593107+to:OH-180+W%2FOH-374+W+to:OH-374+W%2FOH-374+Scenic+to:OH-278+S%2FOH-278+Scenic+S%2FState+Route+56+Scn+to:OH-56+E+to:39.448916,-82.200406+to:Burr+Oak+Blvd+to:OH-685+to:OH-37+E%2FOH-78+E%2FOH-78+Scenic+E%2FState+Route+37+E+to:OH-669+W+to:S+Columbus+St&hl=en&ll=39.649055,-82.21756&spn=0.92309,2.113495&sll=39.778332,-82.253437&sspn=0.115171,0.264187&geocode=FQ3fWwId8qUU-w%3BFSOQWwId6QAU-ymf2g2Hw5JHiDE8qrjxE_qIDg%3BFakvWwIdsj4U-ynLEiGl0-xHiDGct-KPUmgWLA%3BFez5WgIdxX0T-w%3BFR_LWQIdgq4U-w%3BFWEFWQId-icY-w%3BFfI-WAIdAh4Z-w%3BFVTxWQIdqrgZ-ylbwiZGbApIiDEMWITOdcZJlA%3BFcAhWgId-bkZ-w%3BFYopWgIdd1Ub-w%3BFSsGXQIdhtAe-w%3BFZ9XXgIdTRIe-w%3BFfNmXwIdyTcY-w&mra=mi&mrsp=12&sz=13&via=1,2,7&t=m&z=10
