I had a motorcycle insured with them, it was much cheaper than everywhere else.(but for some reason they where really expensive for car insurance) I never had a problem with them, they where always quite helpful. But I never had to file a claim either.

I'm looking at it as a fun summer car. Something I won't keep forever and is ok if it gets scratched or crashes. Something that actually has mods available that are worth the money, unlike my SVX's/928. I don't want to put 6k into a car for 1 1/2 seconds better in the 1/4 mile. I don't know if that will be this car, or if i'll continue looking around. This particular car seems like its in pretty good shape, and has been well taken care of. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/xt6/IMG_0695-1.jpg

I found an 87 trans am ws6 that I really like and i'm considering buying, but I was wondering what some of the common problems are with them. I know absolutely nothing about pontiacs, so any information you have would be great. A little about the car i'm looking at: 97xxx miles, Automatic 305, Hooker headers, Magnaflow exhaust 3" piping, Fiberglass Ram-Air Hood, Fiberglass wing, Remote Starter/Door lock/unlock. Just had a tune up w/NGK Iridium plugs, wires, etc. Matrix Bucket seats (comes with stock too) All options, including t-bar set.

Definitely sounds like fuel pump. I just had one go out on a Subaru, same symptoms.

Thanks for the info. It probably is some cheap system. I'm mostly surprised he got the after market alarm to work with the car at all, some people haven't had good luck doing that to these cars. The guy who had it before me did some stupid crap to the interior though, and the wiring is kinda scary. (Like painted green dash, button hooked up to alarm to sound like a police siren.) I replaced the battery with a new one when I bought the car, I don't think the battery is going dead. The little battery indicator shows its good.

My 95 SVX has an aftermarket alarm/remote. I haven't quite figured out how to use the little remote yet, and I haven't been able to find any manuals for it online, I'm not sure what the brand is. Anyways, this little remote keeps BEEPING, and its starting to drive me nuts! It doesn't beep when I am at home in the house, it only beeps while out driving around. I am really close to pulling the battery out of it, but I need the remote because my cars locks don't work without it. Anyone have any ideas who would have made this thing or possibly why it keeps beeping? Pic of remote: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/95polo/95svx011.jpg

Awesome video!

Thats actually quite sad that someone could do that to another person. I used craigslist to get rid of a bunch of stuff When I cleaned out my basement last year, I placed an ad for "free stuff" - I had never had so many phone calls or people willing to come out so fast to pick stuff up in my life. They where like vultures.

Last fall I took out a fence, remodeled a bathroom, and cleaned out/remodeled our basement... I rented a couple dumpsters from a place called A A A Affordable Dumpsters. They are pretty nice to work with, and I thought the prices where great. http://www.columbuscene.com/affordabledumpsters.htm

My car has a Maaco paint job, it was repainted by the previous owner a couple days before I bought it...... it has an orange peel look to the paint upclose. After 3 months the paint was starting to peel off in a few places, luckily nothing very big yet. And it has somehow gotten a weird cracking in the paint on the hood after a year. Needless to say it needs repainted again.

We where suppose to go to Chicago with our family this year for Easter/vacation but had to cancel, I had the flu.

I have only run out of gas once. I had a fuel line break while driving. No fun.

I have a 1988 XT6, It is FWD. And it is an Automatic. It has aprx 140k miles I believe. It is Silver in color. It has a decent amount of rust. Interior in not in too bad of shape, no rips in the seats, just a little wear, it has cloth seats. It would make someone a great work car or project car. I've been told they get excellent gas milage. I bought it as an easy fix project car, but my heart is with the SVX and not the xt6. To the best of my knowledge all it needs to be drivable is a muffler, and a brake line replaced. Due to it sitting for a while the battery needs charged/jumped before starting. It starts and runs good though with a jump and I haven't noticed any leaks. But because I have not had this car on the highway I cannot guantee that is 100% all it needs. Thats just what I was told it needs. It should also have the tires replaced, however they look like they will get you a few hundred miles at least. Its a very cool looking little car and deserves to be fixed up. I am asking $650 Or best offer. (The cars rear end is on jackstands, thats why it looks like it leaning forward in the first picture.) http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/xt6/xt6007.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/xt6/xt6009.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/xt6/xt6011.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/xt6/xt6001.jpg

I'm looking for a place to check out the % of tint on my car's windows. I was pulled over today and the cop said he was pretty sure my windows where too dark, but didn't have a way to check them in his cruiser and suggested I have it checked or removed. I got the car with the windows already tinted, it doesn't look that dark to me, but i'd like to have it checked.

I go to that plaza often but I honestly don't know the name of it. But its on the south side on High St.. I don't think its Great Western, isn't that off W. Broad? I have a second SVX now that has tranny issues, I am thinking about doing a 5spd or 6spd swap on it.

I absolutely loved the last few days! I managed to get my SVX almost stuck, and then stuck once. The tires are all weather tires and not really made for this much snow. Video: This is the video of the car getting "un-stuck". I had to kick some snow out from under it though first. Video: And this is a video of it having fun busting through the snow! Video: We also took some scenic snow pictures: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/today021.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/today024.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/today051.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/today076.jpg

We just bought a couple plastic sleds from the Kmart off hamilton/Refuge rd. last night, they had a few different ones left. They have them back in sporting goods.

Download something like IrfanView you can get it free here: http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm Open up the picture you want to resize in the software, and then click on the "image" menu and then click on "resize/resample". Where it says "set new size" change the width to something like 800 or 600 and it will fill in the other part. Click "ok" and if its a size to your liking, save your picture.

I am looking into a small motion camera for home use. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Basically last year we had a bunch of chickens/ducks and we had some kind of large animal stealing our birds. Then all of a sudden it didn't come back and we have had the same couple birds for a long time. Well last night, some kind of big animal stole our chicken, and all it left behind was a trail of feathers. Unfortunately we didn't get any good prints in the snow/mud of the animal that stole the bird. But I am curious what it is. All of my neighborhood dogs where barking, except my dogs, so I didn't go out to see what was going on. Evidently they must have been scared of whatever it was. I am thinking it must be a bobcat or something.

I don't know if this is the right spot to post this, mods feel free to move it. I bought a project car, and was planning on fixing it this summer, but would like to get it drivable asap for my mother to drive temporarily. Its a 1995 Subaru SVX. The previous owner gave me a box full of parts that will supposedly fix everything wrong with the car. As the story goes, it was his daily driver until the timing belt shredded. The transmission is stuck in 3ed, but he had been driving it that way for a while. He said it needed some kind of valves replaced in the transmission and it could be fixed without dropping the transmission. He included those parts in the box of stuff to fix it. While he was replacing the timing belt, he broke a bolt for the water pump, and said the water pump will need to be replaced. He also has one of those in the box of parts. He said it would have still been drivable with the minor coolant leak from the water pump except the car started having an over heating issue, which I discovered once it got here the fans are not functioning. He was trying to toss the car back together as quickly as possible because he was moving out of state, but couldn't get it done in time so I bought it from him really really cheap. I already have an SVX as a daily driver, and couldn't pass up this deal. Basically, it should be fairly simple repairs. The transmission is the last thing I want fixed. I am more concerned about fixing the coolant leak and radiator fans. Once I know the car runs fine after that, we'll move on to the transmission. Either PM me or post up how much $$ you would want to fix it. If you want to come see it first to get an idea of what you would be dealing with, thats ok too. I can either have it towed to you for repair or if you don't mind working in the cold, you can fix it in my driveway.

Thats about what my truck does in the snow. Or on stones. Or in rain... And it has brand new tires! RWD sucks on some cars. I drove my 928 in the winter, its RWD, and never got stuck or had a problem with it.

If I didn't have 3 project cars already I would definately buy it. I am pushing my luck as it is though, and very close to the doghouse becoming my home.

"Bigger than the sky" - I liked this movie quite a bit. I don't think it was advertised very well. I walked right past it for almost 2 months at the local blockbuster. Whoever designed the DVD cover, didn't really portray the movie very well.

We found this dog back around Sept/Oct, and have not been able to find the owner. I am guessing at this point, he was probably dumped and left to fend for himself. That happens a lot in this area, and most of these dogs seem to find my house. He is a nice dog, but a little too playful, and has a few strange behavior issues. One being, he will lay flat on the ground with paws tucked under his body when he see's you approaching him. I believe he may have been abused in a former home. I am asking that he go to a home with no young children. And definately no cats. I do not know if he is house broken, he has not been allowed in my house due to allergy's. He plays very well with other dogs, we have a german shepherd/husky mix and a beagle. I am trying to find him a new home only because I have both cats and a young child. And the dog is not a good fit here. He LOVES going for walks, but pulls on the leash until he realizes we are on our way back home. Then he walks nicely. He is not fixed, and he has a cropped tail. You are welcome to come meet him and see if he would a good fit for your home. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/pets/4.jpg

I'm gonna have to say either Led Zepplin 4 or Queen "day at the races"... its hard to pick just 1! I love pink floyds "the wall" as well.
