  1. It can be plugged but that plug may come out, and if it does so at speed, you're gonna get to test your gear. As that tire heats up, the plug softens and the pressure inside rises a bit. I've heard of plugs exiting a tire while it was just sitting in a lot on a hot day.
  2. Brian, exhaust is tougher than you think. I've lifted a lot of I4 bikes by the exhaust with zero damage. My tl 1000s said IN THE FACTORY MANUAL to lift it by the exhaust. Let's say you have a 400 lb I4. So there's 4 head pipes, that's 100 lbs per pipe but it's 2 points of contact so that's only 50 lbs per contact point. Those contact points are roughly 3 inches by 3 inches. If your exhaust is made out of tubing that can't stand up to about 50 ft lbs then you have issues.
  3. +1 on the low spots. My fzr must have been lowered, I scraped the shit out of the lower fairing...granted it was an aftermarket r1 kit but still...
  4. I put r6 in the search...was in a hurry. http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=201060089651&alt=web happy?
  5. Ok, so they're $30. I guessed. http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=281370818350&alt=web except for shortening the kickstand, lowering the bike is pretty simple...rear is 2 bolts, front is 4. Longest part is dropping the lower plastics to get it on the lift. I've reversed the process before in an hour and change. I charge $50 / hour labor and give ORDN members a break.as far as the kickstand, I'm sure I could figure something out, bend the lug out a little, find a stand off a different bike that would work....I'm pretty good.
  6. Lmao @ center stand on an r6... oh red ....
  7. Only way to lower it is to put a lowering link in the rear suspension and either install shortened springs in the forks or pop the fork legs up through the triples a bit. Lowering link should cost $25. I'll put it on for $50. But it would be better for you to work on your balance. I can free - wheel my 500 lb bandit backwards out of my garage and down my driveway easily. My old fzr 600 was even easier.
  8. You could get a thicker seat and put heli bars or dirt bike bars on the 750. Yes the bandit doesn't have the hp or weight of the fz1, but dat torque doe....
  9. Look into bandit 1200 or 1250, similar ergos, power, wind protection and huge aftermarket...one of the best all arounders out there...come to massillon and you can take mine out
  10. I couldn't listen to all of it but I hope it ended with him screaming obscenities.
  11. When my jeans would wear through in the knees I'd cur the legs off and turn them into drawstring pouches, fill them with things like spare tools, wire, gas line, tire plug kit etc and stash em under the seat of my bike.
  12. I was trolling..... I own a sewing machine and I know how to use it.
  13. This dude doesn't have $100,000. He's also never been elected to any meaningful position and the other Democrats in his state have all but shunned him. I say he's got almost enough rope there to commit political suicide and have to wash dishes at Dennys.
  14. I'll have to post pics of my sliders. Last crash destroyed the denim but the kevlar didn't even blink...and I was only doing 25.
  15. Get some kevlar jeans. Sliders are nice, I've crashed mine 3 times and they're still in mostly 1 piece.
  16. That'll buff out. Textile is ok but melts at high speed. Hybrid mesh/leather is a good compromise. Glad you're ok.
  17. Shouldn't be too hard. You can try to turn it out with some punches, just find a low spot and put a dimple there, then use a punch and hammer to try and turn it out. Another option would be if it's a through hole to try and turn it out the other side. An ez out would work too. Where are you located?
  18. Did it snap while being tightened or loosened?
  19. My uncle rob at robs recycle. Works out of his home, full paint, body work and powder coating. Robs recycle: 330-354-6378 Tell him sam sent you.
  20. If you're in neo I can do all your service. Pm me.
  21. If I hadn't just dropped 4 grand on a concrete patio I'd be super tempted.....
  22. An example of their earlier work. It has entertainment value...
