  1. Thanks, I really love the way Suzuki weighted the aesthetics towards the front of the bike, but it's a shame that they had to stick that ugly fender on the back to satisfy the overlords.
  2. Worked 6-11, then got on the gsxs for a few hours. She got dirty, so it was a quick stop at autozone and home for a wash and wax. Baby loves bath time!
  3. You could totally ride with me when the weather breaks. I'll bring the parmesan cheese!
  4. I shopped around and watched some videos. For the money the vagabond kit is great. Its built very well and reuses the stock plate light. Yoshimura kit costs $120 and isnt built as sturdy. Hoping the koso blinkers are as high of quality as their gauges are. Better be for $70 a pair. I know, it's kinda ridiculous to pay that for a set of signals but why buy a brand new bike and put cheap shit on it? Also, got the new top clamp for the hondarocket. Just gotta dremel off the stock gauge mounts and smooth it out and it's off to powdercoat. Then all I need is to pull the trigger on a new headlight bucket and I can complete rebuild/replace the front of that bike and have an adjustable front end and a sweet custom look. Will definitely need a hand with that tho, if anyone is volunteering. Nothing too technical for me, just requires more hands than I have.
  5. Ordered a vagabond fender delete kit and a set of koso LED turn signals for the gsxs. Should all be here monday and I can get rid of the ugly hang-down. Will drastically improve the look of the bike. Also ordered some mirror extenders because a clear view of my elbows isn't helpful. Next check I'll order signals for the front, probably another set of the koso ones, dont think I'll do flush mounts. Shit, need to order an LED flasher unit.
  6. I would have jumped on this last year, but got a new job that demands more of my time but gives me more money, so have no motivation to work out of my garage anymore. I can give you tech support if you want to go it alone. Check coolant levels. Make sure radiator is full cold. Make sure it pokes into the overflow hot. If it's got pipes and pods, chances are it's too lean and needs jetted and tuned.
  7. Had fun anyway, massillon to millersburg the long way, gas and a bottle of water at BP, then back up 62. Ass is sore. Brain is happy.
  8. Who's down to ride? Tired of going out solo every day. Thinking of heading down to millersburg. 94 to 241 to 39 then back up 83 or 62... post up or text 330.338.9708 I get off work at 4:30, can meet up sometime after that.
  9. internet gold right there. 'Its a 600 and a 750 and a 1000'. Will have to rewatch this when my data signal is better, haven't seen it in probably 5 years.
  10. Thanks for all the great deals and superb service. You are leaving tj some rather large boots to fill. Good luck with your future endeavors.
  11. So I put 60 miles on her today. Kept it below 6k per break in procedure....mostly....i did take it up around 9k once and wow. The motor in this bike is fantastic. The midrange grunt may rival my old tl1000. Factory suspension is set a bit stiff, I'll probably pull some preload out of it and correct with damping, but I'm not great at up suspensions. Handling is very confidence inspiring, I never realized how top heavy the bandit was till I rode this. Threw it into some familiar curvy roads and felt very planted. Haven't really laid it over hard yet tho, still getting used to the throttle. It's pretty abrupt coming off idle and at very low openings. Pulls wonderfully from 3500 to 6k tho, just gobs of power. Only complaints are the mirrors and the transmission. Right mirror may just need turned more away from me so I can angle it better, but I really have to move my head over to see behind me. Trans shifts butter smooth but the ratios are unnecessarily close, especially for the characteristics of the motor. Still overall very happy with my purchase and the thing looks absolutely stunning in the sunlight. Ergos are definitely letting me know my left knee hates life, but it's been like that for a few years now. Will probably ride into work tomorrow morning if the weather permits.
  12. Some of my best childhood memories are on the back of my dads old cb750. We used to just go for all-day rides, hours on end, stop for a burger, get some gas, then back out riding. He would make the bike backfire for me by hitting the kill switch for a few seconds at a time. Big orange fireball would shoot out of the old kerker he had on it. That bike and those memories are the reason I bought an old 70's Honda cb750.
  13. Shame I never even got to see it. Congrats on the sale tho.
  14. Got the rebuilt forks on the bandit and took her for a proper flogging today. Cant say it's a real drastic improvement. Also can't say I know how to properly set up a suspension, so there's that. It does seem more planted and smoother, but I expected the gold valves to really help with the big bumps and it just doesn't seem to. I started out with spring preload in the middle of the range and it felt like it was diving a bit much during braking so I dialed them all the way in and that helped, but I guess I was expecting some magical transformation.
  15. It's pretty hard to find a reviewer that didn't like it. Most all the articles I read were very positive, some absolutely raving.
  16. Finished building the racetech forks for the bandit yesterday, I'll mount them today after work and see how much of an improvement they are.
  17. Damnit. Forgot the date and scheduled a camping trip for this weekend. Have fun, I'll catch up another time.
  18. Yeah. Its somewhere in Illinois. Should be here in a week or I'll be raising hell daily.
  19. Supposedly they fixed some things. I'll give a report once I finally get it. Its driving me nuts, impatient as I am, that I don't have it yet.
