Generally there isn't much advantage to doing what you're planning on doing. If done right you'll usually get more top end at the expense of low and midrange. End result is less ridability. CV carbs don't generally like pod filters, but if you're dead set on doing this..... Throw away your gutted stock system and bolt on a full yoshi system. Dynojet stage 3 jet kit. A guy that was a pipefitter where I work retired a few years ago and he just criss-crosses the country on his 1500 Vulcan. Stops home once in a while. If he's going to be someplace interesting for more than a week he flies his girlfriend out to stay with him. A few Harley guys I work with meet up with him and ride to New England or Sturgis or Daytona or wherever in the summertime. As much as I love to ride, I also love the stability of coming home to the wife and dog, I'd definitely pack up some clothes and camping.equipment and play nomad for a week, but Idk about any longer than that...I love my home.

Everyone is gonna have their own opinion on the mushroomhead/slipknot divide. I had been going to shroom shows for years before I ever heard of slipknot. While they both reside in the same general genre, their music is not mutually comparable, just way too different IMO. Neither rely on anything close to technical guitar work or progressive-type time signature. They both jam, for sure. I am biased towards mushroomhead because of the time in my life when I was driving to Cleveland every weekend to see them play, back before they got signed, before the uniforms etc. When they used to perform in costume to hide the fact they all were also in other popular local bands at the time. I never didnt get at least a handy at most of their shows...something about the chicks that went to see them back in the mid to late 90's....always horny. Anyway they did go downhill after their 3rd album. I still listen to the stuff they released on independent labels here in Ohio.
