  1. Weighs 40lbs more than a gixxer and I probably weigh 40 lbs more than my cousin so maybe that's it.
  2. I have lots of bike parts that need out of my garage, pm me your location so we can set this up
  3. Hi ya'll, I just got my first true sport bike last week and I'm not sure if it has as much power as it should. The 96 fzr600r has between 91 and 98 bhp depending on what review you read and mine is in good shape, no valves clacking, clean carbs, not blowing smoke etc... But it just doesn't feel like a 100 HP bike. I've ridden my cousins 07 gsxr600 and that bike is redonkulous. My fizzer is fast but i was expecting it to pick up the front tire with a red line power shift from first to second. It definitely has power, does 75 mph in 2nd gear, but Idk, not as powerful as I think it should be...or maybe I should just let my inner child buy a liter bike next spring...thoughts?
  4. Meeting.the kid I bought my fzr600r from, Eric. His dad owns akron auto glass, so that would be enough info if you know him without posting his last name. He's coming down with 3 or 4 of his buddies and I have 2 or 3 meeting me there. Should be A mottley bunch, some crotch rockets, a metric cruiser and a 72 iron head rigid rat bobber. I know a lot of toolbags go down to qsl in n Canton but its closest to my house and I'm going into end of summer panic mode and am trying to get in on as many rides and events as I can. Would be nice to make some new riding buddies while there's still a few months left in the season, wish I had discovered this site years ago.
  5. This isn't some epic sojourn across east Jesus, its riding down to qsl to eat wings, drink beer and look at bikes. I'm meeting people from akron and Springfield at scheetz and thought is post it in case anyone from here wanted to join. Have I explained myself to your satisfaction?
  6. Well if any of you nut-scrubbers wanna go down there and get some wings and a beer we're meeting at the scheetz on 241 and 619 at 6-ish.
  7. Could be engine heat cooking the gas out of your lines and burping the vapor into your tank. If the level in your tank is below the vapor in the Line it won't siphon down. Check and see if you have a line resting on the case or against the block.
  8. I've owned bell, no-name and hjc and don't like any of them as much as my icon alliance. It's a little heavy but its quiet and it vents nicely. I'm sure if it got between my head and a high speed curb or windshield I'd be even more satisfied.
  9. Stupid site will only.let me pm you once every 2 hours...Idk what you're doing right now but I'm thinking of a pre-work ride. You down?

  10. Some tannerite would be cool. If you've never heard of it, look it up. Fun stuff.
  11. Me too. I generally obsess and blow all my money on guns and shooting during the winter, bikes and riding during spring summer and fall.
  12. I don't think we will be going that far south (see that yellow highlighted "northeast" by the title?) I don't want this to be some epic 14 hour adventure, just a nice afternoon scoot n shoot. Some issues I have thought of: what if the ranges are busy (which they will be) and we have to wait for lanes and then go piece-meal into them as they become available? That's going to really slow shit down and well, its gonna get expensive. Most ranges charge $10 per half hour per lane, 2 shooters per lane maximum. If we hit 4 ranges and only shoot half an hour each one its still a good chunk of change by the time you factor in ammo and targets. Maybe we try and reserve some lanes at one or two ranges, meet up at shooter & scooters and head out? Or we could go the free route and try mike's farm Land as long as we don't go shredding the breadbasket. I'm totally open to suggestions here, this was my idea but I'd like some input from everyone.
  13. Awesome. I love it when a plan comes together. Gotta see if I can fit my AR and a few hundred rounds into a backpack or something.
  14. Kinda like those drinking teams with a softball problem? Bitchin, let's see if a few more people jump on and we can lay down some plans.
  15. I've noticed there are a lot of fellow shooters in this community. Why not combine our 2 favorite things and go on a bike tour of shooting ranges? I know of 4; riverside, the marksman, Midwest gun club and some range out in nelson that I qualified for my ccw at. Pistols.only would be easier for discrete transport but break-down rifles and shotguns could work with some creative luggage selections.
  16. Living my 3 gun dream. Built my AR from parts; 16" 1:9 5.56 Wilson combat barrel, Lrb lower, dpms upper, dpms lower parts kit with custom trigger job by my uncle Jim, Yankee hill free float tube, all magpul mos furniture, MI flip ups, ASAP sling mount, genuine eotech 512 sight. Pistol is a beretta 92 fs with custom wood grips. Shotgun is my ole faithful mossberg 500 with 18" barrel, rifle sights, all polymer furniture and heat shield. Bring on the zombies.
  17. Fear the government that fears your guns. There has been a lot of backlash lately but you can't argue with statistics. A majority of states now have ccw licenses. A good deal of those states have reciprocity laws. Gun sales have been going up month after month the last 3 years. Crime has gone down since Ohio passed ccw license laws. Of course the hippies and the bradys are all screaming about blood in the streets and bars now that Ohio passed the restaurant carry law, but they were crying about blood in the streets when ccw was passed. The fact is that the pro-gun movement is winning, more people.are buying guns and more are carrying them legally. The atf can't circumnavigate the constitution and they are in trouble for fast and furious anyway. The cdc can suck balls, guns have nothing to do with disease control, they should concentrate on aids and cancer.
  18. Just as well, my fzr flat-lined in the driveway today...if it clears up after work I might get the xj out and pity around....not nearly as fun as the fizzer tho..
  19. Soft tales only do 185 if you drop them out of a plane, he would have more luck trying to do a stopee.
  20. Ah. I was there about a month ago, there were some sport bikes but mostly harleys....maybe if more people with sport bikes rode down there it would tip the scales a little....now if only there were some kind of online forum where we could organize a trip down there....
  21. Adobe won't load it, says its not a real pdf.
  22. Anyone wanna get together to ride down there for bike night? Post replies if interested and we can figure out where to meet.
  23. Only thing worth eating on a tree rat (squirrel) is the hind legs. You can snip em off with diagonal wire cutters if you're careful, or skin them and dislocate his little hip bones. If you can, shoot tree rats off of black walnut trees, a diet of walnuts makes the meat a little better tasting. Soak in buttermilk over night, bread and fry in peanut oil, that's the hillbilly way, and if you're eating squirrel, you're already doing some pretty hillbilly shit.
