  1. http://m.cantonrep.com/repository/pm_30280/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=eng0J1Ix I'm not making fun of this at all, this man was an innocent victim and I know exactly hoe his family feels right now and hope one day they can find peace. That being said, Wtf did he think was going to happen? People are free to believe in whatever religion they choose, I believe in ammunition.
  2. I'm gonna go with people that microwave babies belong in the "true bad people" catagory.
  3. "wow, that's a neat bike, is it fast?" "It's not for riding" "well what do you do with it?" "well I watch movies and listen to gangsta rap on it" "couldnt you do that at home?" "yeah, but this shows everyone what a colossal dipshit I am, and that I have 100 times more money than sense" At least that's how the conversation should go.
  4. I use the broom stick to keep the dampening rod from spinning while removing the cap screw that holds it in, works fine and no bad side effects, so why pay for a tool you can make for free?
  5. Lotta good that road block did, they just blew through it.
  6. Well buells are great bikes but don't limit yourself. There are plenty of bikes that deliver that low end grunt you thirst for, some at a much lower initial price and maintenance cost than a buell. Keep in mind that the hd mills are 1940 technology at 2011 prices, there are fare better ways to make power than a long-throw, narrow bore pushrod operated 2 valve head motor. Yes the heads flow better and the internals are tougher than a sportster, but its still an out-dated design. If you want to get away from the cookie cutter inline 4 rice rocket there are several directions you can take. Honda made a shit ton of VFR bikes, they are a pain to work on but make plenty of power. The b king and other naked street fighters are tuned to deliver more power in the low and mid ranges, then there are the liter class v-twins like the superhawk, blackbird, rc51, sv1000 etc that do a great job of pegging the ole butt dyno. The v-rod is also a blast to ride, does 85 in first gear! The triumph triples offer a great 'best of both worlds' between twins and fours, plenty of low end and plenty of balls past 7k. The 90's BMW 100 'k' bikes also kick ass and look nothing like a jap 4-banger. The cylinder bank is latest down right to left across the frame, they blow a bit of smoke on start up but that German engineering shows its teeth when you grip it and rip it. I guess you should consider exploring the world of motorcycles and riding all different styles of sport and muscle bike before you pidgeon hole yourself into a buell. My $.02, hope it helps.
  7. The super short wheelbase and high torque motor of.the xb12 makes for a wicked wheelie machine. My boss rides one and he says its fun but gets uncomfortable and he wishes he had his old superhawk.
  8. Never used a tool to compress the springs, just clamp the legs back to the bike with it jacked up and push the springs in with the cap nuts. Takes a few tries but you get a feel for it. I should add that I work mainly on older bikes that don't have inverted forks.
  9. Go to a red wings shoe store and get a pair of their insulated buckskin work gloves. Effective thinsulate insulation and a supple but tough leather glove to block the wind and protect you from.concrete. I ride with them down into the 40's, no problem.
  10. Wow, just read this whole awesome epic shit-fest and am glad to see that after relinquishing my king bone head noob asshole crown, we have an heir to the throne. I'm gonna e-mail and offer him asking price if he delivers it to some imaginary address and send him wandering around the ghetto of south east Canton.
  11. I had a fucking prius race me in my f-250 once. I blew his efficient little doors off but it probably cost me $5 in gas lol. I used to have an 85 300zx turbo, every kid in town with a fart can on his mom's old civic tried to race me, it was pretty sad.
  12. Depends on how much abuse they get. The surfaces of the seal that actually do the sealing have to deal with friction and pressure constantly. If you are too big for your bike and like to come down hard off of wheelies, hit kits of pot holes, don't slow down for speed bumps etc.. they will wear out sooner. It's really an easy job, I use a broom handle, an Allen socket and a 2 foot piece of pvc pipe. Maybe I should set up at the track and undercut the other guys?
  13. Lol. Cousin is cutting me a check for a grand to cover my damages and prolong his life.
  14. With the forks off the bike I'd do them for $100 including oil and seals, on the bike id say $150 is fair.
  15. My cousin wanted to ride around the neighborhood, so I let him ride it and I got on my fzr. We were almost back to my house and he blew a stop sign and hit me from behind. The seca got laid down on its right side, minor damage to fairing and exhaust, broken brake lever. My fzr went down on its left side, busted the rear fairing, the feeler on the peg and scraped up the bar end. His shoe came off.
  16. Yikes. Pretty sure he loaded his leathers on that one.
  17. Price reduced to $1200. Got laid down over the weekend, minor cosmetic damage.
  18. Thanks guys, good to see some positive action on this thread. It is a great bike, I used it as a commuter from late march to late July. The suspension has been completely overhauled, and you are right, the redlime is only like 9k, but the mill delivers great off-idle torque and with the exhaust and jet kit I put on, it really opens up around 6.5k. I'm only selling it because I need to make room in the garage for a car, and I need to buy that car...so this bike is the proverbial one stone for those two birds.
  19. Has brand new clutch today, brand new starter tomorrow.
  20. Do you guys have 91/03 mosins or the hard to find m44? I bought my m44 like 7 or 8 years ago and I guess you can't find them that easily, at least not for the $75 I paid.
  21. Download Photobucket app, upload pic to app, go to pic, then menu and choose links, copy and paste img link into thread.
  22. Ok, so what exactly is the point of bumping up your posts? Unless it gets you paid or laid I don't see the point. Busa, I get you now, you're a prick bastard and everyone thinks you're funny...kinda a one-trick pony if you ask me, but whatever keeps the mouth-breathers giggling. No hard feelings, I get what you were originaly trying to tell me...might want to work on your communication skills...trade in that old worn-out "fucktard" for some adjectives.... As far as whatever the rest of ya'll think of me, I'll be sure to post a thread about it if I ever give a fuck. Don't go mistaking this for "roid rage" or whatever, this is me being cool and playing along.....my bad, up until recently I was used to forums being heavily moderated and all that. So anyway, shut your Cock-suckers, haul out that coffee can full of nickels, spend it all on scratch-offs, hit for $1500 and come get this bike out of my garage so I can buy a car and have room to park it at the same time. Pony up bitches.
  23. Go for the 650....actually go for a 750 if you can. I have bought too little bike in the past, if you're bored with the blast, you're gonna get bored with the 500, and you're just never going to get the smoothness of an inline 4 out of a parallel twin. As for looks, I've never picked any vehicle based on color, I've noticed that when on or in it, I don't pay much attention, and I could really give a shit what the people I pass on the street think.
