  1. Shouldn't be too hard to fab up, you could do a really cool side-winder. Summer racing sells weld your own header kits for cars, I wonder if you could find one with the correct diameter pipe and a close to right bend and see if a custom fab shop could slap it together for you...
  2. Lol, his ole lady is gonna "requisition" it for her personal enjoyment....
  3. What you do is get you some 5/8 " ball-bearings or 3/4" nuts. When someone rides your ass like that, start chucking them over your shoulder, takes a few tosses before you zero in on the windshield, but once you do they tend to adjust their attitude. Sure, its illegal, dangerous and mean-spirited, but he can't prove you tossed it, the danger is mostly to him and he shouldn't have fucked with you in the first place. My guess is that this human-shaped pile of cess-ridden filth caught his woman in bed with a biker and has a shit-ton of misdirected hostility at anyone on two wheels. I also recommend getting a license to carry a hand gun in case he follows you and wants to work you over with his tire thumper. Just my $.02, probably won't be a very popular suggestion but I firmly believe in defending yourself from the stupids.
  4. My 5th bike would probably be one of those 100cc pocket bikes...that's about all I have room for in my garage lol.
  5. Maybe I need some formal instruction then. I know dick about body position except that on a tight turn I crouch up onto the tank and counter-lean to keep the bike in a smooth arc. If anyone is willing I would be an apt pupil for some lessons in high speed turns.
  6. Now start pushing the envelope. I take those clover leaf interchanges at 70 or so. Just keep it inside the turn and see how fast you can go before you start sliding outside, remember, those pegs will fold up.
  7. Brand new full stainless exhaust on the seca.
  8. Fuck the epa. They are the reason new sport bike exhausts are so god-awful ugly. They even made kaw re-map the ecu on the new zx12 to cut fuel in high rpm to meet their pussy ass requirements.
  9. I need pants and boots but don't like the gawdy look of racing pants. I've been looking at the Joe rocket jeans with kevlar woven in, but I free-ball and am wondering if they might rough up my hang-downs.
  10. Quit making shit up. Mail me some of your pain meds and I'll believe you.
  11. I've seen a seca with gsx-r 600 tb and micro-squirt setup. My 26 mm keihins flow more air than the 28mm mukunis acording to an old article I found on sohc-4.net. just can't see gaining enough power to justify the cost, unless you're doing it just to be some totally fucking awesome Mr. Wizard type shit, then its fully justified. If I were going to efi any of my bikes it would be my fzr, I think I'd get the biggest return from it.
  12. Yeah, that optical ignition is bad ass but way spendy! If you look closely you can see my dyna-s inductive pickups, that's enough ignition upgrade for me. May go with some bigger coils tho. Idk if I would put the money into a fuel injection setup for a motor that old tho, I feel kind of bad about sinking $700 into needing this motor up.
  13. I did some research and the bike is actually rated at 87-91 bhp. Here is where I'm at with my motor build, waiting on a base gaskets and cam chain tensioner guts and I can put the jugs on.
  14. No typo, 850 is what you get when you bore .178 over. Got the Kit here: http://www.cyclexchange.net/Engine%20Parts%20Page%20(Non-Cafe).htm scroll down about half way. Cycle x is awesome, they cast and machine their own pistons and even make side-cover badges that say "850-four". When I'm done with this motor it will make Harley guys cry. Imagine getting your $10 grand brand new bike completely dusted by a 40 year old piece of "jap crap'. This big bore kit plus a long-duration cam, re-jet, velocity stacks and header ought to make about 86-90 HP. Not bad for an ancient engine design that went from drawing board to showroom floor in less than a year.
  15. I need to grind the chicken strips off mine as well.
  16. I have the motor apart, cylinders bored out to 850, new pistons with rings installed got pinned to the rods last night. Saving up for new cam chain tensioner guides and a hot cam. Mostly need help with degree-ing the cam in.
  17. Eh, not having trouble so much as just a little unsure of myself, it being the first time I've done it. I'm only doing the top end so starter shims aren't an issue.
  18. I'm in the middle of my 750 build and honestly, I might be a bit over my head. This is my first four cyl overhaul and I'm relying mostly on old cycle world articles and what my dad can remember from doing it 25 years ago. I'm a competent mechanic, FAA certified aircraft brake mechanic to be exact, just don't want to have to rip this motor down ever again. If anyone in NE area can offer guidance, I will buy the beer and cook the steaks.
  19. Ok, enough with the troll pissing contest. I would rock a busa for sure tho, but not sure I need all that speed. I'm not into top speed so much as ridiculous acceleration which I guess the busa delivers brilliantly, just can't reconcile the price tag right now. (insert broke-ass punk/shitty job insult here). Maybe next year ill sell a few of my bikes and save my pennies so I can get a big boy bike and wear my big boy pants.
  20. Ah profanity, the last refuge of the feeble-minded...and calling me a newb doesn't hurt my feelings any...although I am super proud of you for being a member of this site for longer than me, you can count that with your only other accomplishment, being the fastest sperm in the load. Now make sure you respond with lots of 'fucks' and perhaps question my sexual orientation or whatever other insults you remember from junior high.
  21. Wow, this has become an epic, semi-on topic thread. I have decided to keep my 600 and mod it to handle better and accelerate a bit better. I will replace the back seat with a cowl and it will be just for riding back and forth to work and whipping through the twisties on the weekends. My Honda 850-four build should be nearly done by the middle of September and then I can take my ole lady on nice cruises through the pretty fall leaves so she doesn't club me with a rolling pin. Still need to sell the seca to make room in the garage to work on the Honda...
  22. Lol....Wtf ever sambusa, when I want to hear from an asshole, I'll fart.
  23. Love them MOE stocks, that's what I run, except I have a Yankee hill free float tube instead of moe forgrip. Now you need to ditch that carry handle and A-frame and get an eotech and some.flip-up buis.
  24. Uh oh, some busa riders got.their feelings hurt. Back up a bit while you cry, I don't want you blowing snot bubbles on my jacket. Sara, you should check out very interesting leather on south main st in akron, they have a huge selection of women's gear. My ole lady has some nice big boobies and some shapely hips and she found a jacket that fits her fine..and it has a removable liner that's also a hoodie...now as soon as I finish building my power cruiser she will be able to use it, she doesn't like it on the back of the crotch rockets.
