  1. I'd replace or repair that tank for a quicker sale.
  2. Better to sit on it over the winter and sell it when bike season starts next year and prices are higher and people have tax returns burning a hole in their pocket.
  3. Some mornings I kill mine by shifting into first with the fucker still down. 15 minutes from dead asleep to geared up and motor running will do that....
  4. Find a cover you can remove that exposes a nut you can turn the motor with. Remove both spark plugs and Carefully try that with the bike in neutral. See if you have more than 20 or so degrees of movement back and forth between where it stops before trying to shove it one way or the other. Listen for bad mechanical sounds. Or just inspect the rotor assy and see if you shit the bed there.... I'm most cases the last thing you worked on is where your problem is.
  5. Maybe it's because my first bikes never had kickstand switches and I always shift to neutral when coming to a stop. I never park my bike in gear...probably because my first bikes also didn't have clutch switches. When I start my bike it's in neutral and I turn the key, choke it and (if it has a clutch switch, pull the clutch) thumb the button. While it's warming up I remove my glasses, hang them from the clutch cable or secure them on the tank bag (depending on bike), pull the gloves from my helmet, set them on the seat, secure helmet, don glasses and gloves, adjust choke, mount and ride. Dismount is reverse of assembly (Climer manual joke) Edit: on the superhonda 849 camalamadingdong I only kick start it because fuck you my bike starts first kick.
  6. Ignition only. Kill switch is for emergencies ie: bike is on its side and still running, easier to slap the kill switch than to turn the key and risk breaking it off.
  7. 300 ft lbs? That's a lot. I used to build aircraft wheels with 18 nuts that had to be torqued to 130. I'm a pretty sturdy guy and even with a 2.5 ft torque wrench it was still a workout. Also 'pretty sure' doesn't count with torque wrenches, that's why they indicate exact torque.....unless you didn't actually use a torque wrench....in which case you fucked up.
  8. I already have an 07 sentra with 110k on the clock. I'm not sure if I wasn't clear with my original post but I want a Subaru as a daily driver. My plan is to sell or trade my sentra and put a few thousand with it to upgrade my daily driver to something with awd that still gets decent mileage.
  9. If it wasn't fuel injected I'd say hydro-lock. Seen it on jamal's street fighter. A carb flooded and filled one of the cyls with gas, made about the same noise. Wouldn't crank til we pulled a plug and pumped out the gas.
  10. Need awd for my hilly back road commute to work. Cobalt and Camry are fwd
  11. Way more car than I need. This is for commuting and beer runs.
  12. They completely redesigned the legacy between 14 and 15. I drove both and prefer the 15. Then again, I didn't drive a 6 cyl and I'm sure it's plenty more fun than the 4. As far as options go, our 15 is the 2nd to highest trim level and is pretty well-appointed. I didn't read your mile-long description because = work.
  13. You have my attention. What do you have?
  14. That's 3x my budget and as much as we paid for my wife's 2015 legacy 2.5 brand new
  15. Yeah I'd make the trip if I had a good offer on my car (instead of $3500 like the last used car lot tried to give me) and it was an impreza 2.5i with a manual and dual exhaust in decent shape under $7500 and 100k miles.
  16. If only I could find one in my price range and get a decent trade in on my Nissan.
  17. Our legacy has a cvt that you can paddle shift and pretend it's a stick. It works well, gets good mileage and I believe has fewer moving parts and wearable parts than a conventional automatic. They are louder tho. I don't mind the cvt, I also have one in my sentra but I prefer a stick.
  18. Bad knock sensor...causes uncontrolled detonation.
  19. I'm heading up there soon. Hope to see some bubbies. For those who have not met me I'm the chubby bid guy with a beard and glasses. Black and white shirt. The girls from the rescue get there at 6. They have some stuff up for silent auction.
  20. Well the 09 got bought out from under me. The search continues.
