test the battery first. If it's dead I'd charge it and then test the alternator output by running the motor at around 4k rpm and looking for 14 volts at the battery. If you don't see a significant increase in voltage from idle to 4k rpm then your rectifyer/voltage regulator could be cashed or it could be your stator. I would have said carbs right off but if your tach was acting strangely and it's electric (vs a cable that runs off the camshaft) then I'd say you have an electrical issue.

Where I have to run mine (because of where the back feed box is) there is my house on one side, a solid privacy fence on the other and my garage on the other. The one side that's open there at least 75 feet before there's a house. I don't exactly care if my neighbors don't like the noise, and they won't care when I'm letting them charge their phones from my generator.

It's not quiet, but that's easy to fix. Just need to make a few adapters and I'll run the stock muffler from my bandit on it.

Klotz klr is the best stuff I've found. Goes on a thin liquid that penetrates easily but once the solvent evaporates it's a dry film lubricant that won't fling off.

Ordered mine today. Thought about getting the smh10r but didn't like the remote battery pack or the buttons. The dial control on the regular smh10 seems like it's much easier to manipulate with gloves on. Any tips out there? It's going into my bell star carbon.

Quad core android tv stick. ebay it. $60 or so, takes sd card and usb drives plus has internal storage, 720p hdmi output, runs netflix, hulu...pretty much anything you can run on android. Can also torrent movies which is nice for being freely entertained. Smaller than a pack of smokes. Not just a gateway for Amazon content. Not a restrictive apple device.
