Ok, the sprockets are the same from at least 04-09. I'm assuming he did the 520 conversion as that is what mine are. I should have something for him though.
Ya its an 07 with 520.
Thanks!
I think he was looking for a 44, its currently 16/47

I need to check the trailer for that sprocket for non asian Tim, what year is his 750?

Need to do fluid change on the 750, r6 brake conversion and gearing change.
And wire the pads on the r6, gearing change and I guess bleed brakes and safety wire the gpx pro. Pretty straight forward stuff.
Need to get some tires mounted on spare wheels as well.

I just started riding and I pretty much hate it so far but its a good way to get faster on the motorcycle. I have only done 17 mile rides about once per week the past 3 weeks.
Currently riding a K2 nst 1.0 that I bought in 2005, its not in the best shape but neither am I.

This trail is about 5 minutes from my house so I have been using it from Lisbon. I have a long way to go as it normally takes me an hour and 20 minutes or so to do the 17 miles.
I also did nothing in the off-season so im pretty out of shape, hoping to make big improvements this year as I suck at this.

Have alot of work to do to the 750 with Timmy but the R6 is ready to go aside from a gearing change. Hoping to clean the truck out and organize the trailer this weekend as well.
-
Focus on one thing at a time, then it will gradually become muscle memory and it will just be a natural thing to do.
-
I really struggled with this until I got the R6. I used put 100% of my weight on my inside leg and would get wore out physically very fast. With the R6 its just natural to have the outside knee engaged with the tank to share some of the load.
Yes you need to hook your outside leg however, your rear end feel comes from the foot pegs, not your butt or outside knee. You need to have enough pressure to be engaged with the bike and feel whats going on and make throttle adjustments if necessary. You also want as little weight as possible on your arms, you will make your arm stiff which will lock up the steering head and the bike wont feel like its turning. Also taking weight off of your hands will provide front end feedback and help the bike turn better.

I would not use a sc3 imo.
Personally I prefer an sc2 front and sc1 rear depending on track temperature.
Send an email to Mike@metricdevilmoto.com with any tire questions you have and he will point you in the right direction.

I got the suspension in and geometry all set and gas tank back on this weekend.
Just need to put the body work and wheels on then change fluids.
-
Yup as long as that snorkel is on then its legal.
So that is the piece that cost Cory 25k
-
Yup, and after market picture has the snorkel that fits on the filter.
-
If you buy an aftermarket air filter for an R6 the opening is normally larger than the OEM filter and most orgs want either an oem filter or there is an additional snorkel piece on some aftermarket filters to make the intake smaller.
The performance gain is minimal if any at all and is a source of contention between alot of people.

I thought about that, but changing the final drive ratio's on a belt drive is difficult and expensive.
Changing gearing would be the least of your worries. Head out in novice and have a blast!

I did it for a day with a guy I know a few years ago. He was from PA, met him at Nelsons. He wrecked the first lap.
It happens.
I didnt crash for over 2 years until I rode someone elses bike. Then I crashed 2 days in a row haha

Cool thanks for the info guys.
One more question- what top end would you expect on a 600 there? I'm running gearing that just barely touches red line at MidO and expecting a change of at least one or two teeth?
I think I hit 150ish (gps indicated) on my gsxr last time we got dry weather there. There is a kink at the end which will raise your rpm some, I was on the limiter in 6th with stock rear sprocket and -1 in the front at that kink.
The straight is super long but it is mostly up hill.
-
Ahh ya I see that. Thats what we will probably do as well but i have an hour drive until I get over to canton and can head south. I could also head down through Morgantown but looms like it adds about 5 minutes.
-
I am hoping to do about the same. We cant leave until 7pm at the earliest on Thursday, 3 hours drive time on Thursday would put us around Columbus, depending on how we go.

Ron and Bill are hoping to be there early afternoon I think.
We should hopefully get there by 3pm Friday depending on how far we make Thursday night and how early we leave Friday morning.
-
Thats it. I think things have changed a but since that lictire has changed but thats the general location. We pretty much get left alone over there, and its right by the concession stand.
