I am hoping the rain they say we are going to get is just left over from tonight. I would ride on a wet road as long as it isnt raining.

I have a USB charger on my VFR now. So if something dies can just plug it in there.

I wouldnt be free until 3:00 on thursday, but would love to tag along, might be to late in the day though.

Would probably be a little fast for my dad but yes I will have my friend with me. He never ridden in anything colder than 60, will be an experience for him. How many are you guys going to be passing through with?

You dont need heated gear. ATG and layers underneath. I might not really enjoy the ride to the meet, but the rest of the day would make it worth it.

If its colder than the low 40s I might be out as well. But I think it will be a little warmer than that.

I was thinking of taking my friend who started riding a few months ago on the same roads. Didn't want to go with the normal crew for obvious reasons. He has an 05 ninja 636 and is prey proficient on it but I was looking at starting a little earlier.

The comparison posted earlier was evo/wrx, figured the sti would be more comprable to the evo. Even a 230hp 02 wrx with 100k on it is 9k, awd just holds its value alot better. At that point the only thing you are gaining on the GTO would be AWD and trunk space. And hey to some that might be worth the trade offs. To each his own.

I am not debating on if they are a good car or not. Just that it looks like the op wants to spend under 10k, and he isnt going to find an evo or sti for that amount of money. Hard to beat the amount of car you get for the money of an 04 GTO. Runs mid 13s, 20mpg, and one of the most comfortable cars GM has ever made. But personally neither the sti or evo are for me.

Good luck trying to find an evo or sti for 8k which is what it looks like the op is willing to spend. Ones with 100k are still going for high teens.

I should be there. Have a race in indy that month so I need to check the date. Will also try to bring another bike with me. Ugh just looked and the race is that weekend... I am a maybe but will probably have to miss this.
