http://www.glensoutdoors.com/wolverine-8-raider-multishox-steel-toe-boot.html One thing about shoes is what works for one may be crap to another. I really don't care how long they last..comfort is more important to me. I am hard on boots. If I get a year and half I consider that a win. They don't fall apart I just wear them out. Been that way for 42 years. I'm on my third pair of these and they are keepers. The Multishox sole thingy doesn't clap out in three months. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck on the new job.
We'll Tonic I finally figured out my INT issue. It would export to the card(F drive) and I could read and open it from the computer but it would not show up on the GPS to import. That is till I dragged and dropped them into the GPX file then all was well. My lack of skills. I'm too old for all this Tech crap. Gimme a hammer. Final prep this weekend. Hopefully the old girl is up to the task. This will be the longest trip that I have been on on that bike without my wife. 98% of the miles have been two up. Finally starting to get butterflies. My son in law is really excited. Will be his first long haul. Rooms booked and confirmed. Ya I'm frickin ready for this. Wild Hogs ain't got shit on us.
Downloaded converter and was able to modify first route to my start point. But can't seem to get it in the GPS. Have a card in the GPS and it lists as f drive. I'm missing a step. Garmin Nuvi. Believe it would be a gpx file. Tech savy I'm not.
Fantasico!! Push that arrow around that left hander and see what is next.Fuel wise feed me light around 220 with supposedly a gallon in reserve depending on the right hand. We are gonna sign out at 46&76 to get a gas receipt. Turnpike is just a couple miles west. We will be ready when we hit the rest area.
A good home inspector will carry insurance just in case he blows a call. You hired him to perform a service. Read your contract with him. You may have grounds for reimbursement..
Good call on the t-shirt. I'm not opposed at all to see more of the area. Like Tonic mentioned at the meet up I think. It's gonna be a photo op kinda day. Would like to stop and smell some of the roses and not just blast thru. Time allowing as it were. Hey Tim I found this. http://www.southdakota.com/top-south-dakota-motorcycle-roads-and-routes/124 http://www.motorcycleroads.com/Routes/South-Dakota_117.html http://www.visitcuster.com/ride/
I just remembered......went on fall picnic ride with some friends and I wrapped the fried chicken and baked beans in my heated gear to keep it warm. Good times.
^^^^^ Not true Grasshopper. I didn't purchase the super deluxe GT, LX, LE, LTD, DENALI, SE VERSION. No cup holder. No a/c. Have to settle for sheepskin. I knew I should have kept quiet. No hipster stuff. Redneck may be......gottsa trailer hitch.
Okay you guys. I'm starting to become concerned. All this talk of underwear and wutcha gonna wear stuff and now cup holders. Should I maybe get one of those special flags for the occasion ? I almost forgot the ram mount stuff.
Don't fall for the hype. These bikes are slugs. Not at all fun to ride. May as well ride a Huffy. GLWTS. Did I mention the annoying exhaust note. Shesh!
First don't don't flame me for the 2 star rating of this thread. It was a fat fingered misfire on an iPad. 5+ for sure. Looks like the old girl is ready to go. Very pleased with Riders Discount. Good prices and fast delivery on a new battery and windshield. All to do now is pack. Son in law and myself will get signed up here and be ready to scoot at the rest area. Really looking forward to seeing that part of the country. Now I need to get this new camera figured out. Good thing it has an auto setting.
Gonna be a piece of cake. Just did 750 in the car to Memphis in just over 11 hours. No problem. Bike is more comfy than car. I recovered nicely on Beale Street with some BBQ and Beer. That was yesterday. Proly more BBQ and Beer tonight. Listened to some good Blues as well. Can't wait guys. Sitting in the FedEx center now.
If I happen upon another rider and I'm gonna tail him...I'll stagger and look in his mirror and stay where I can see his face in his mirror. That way he knows exactly where I am with a quick glance. If he has to make a quick maneuver for some reason he doesn't have to worry about my position because he knows where I am and if your paying attention you will have plenty of time to react. I just do this in town for the slower stuff. Out on the open road either let them go or pass. Whichever fits the scenario. Never do I join another group. No reason. I just don't.
